"Go ahead!" Eagerly, Greg urged expecting something.
"But I'm starving now. We haven't had dinner yet," Violet continued, touching her empty stomach.
"Is that so?" Greg asked. Feeling hungry too, he advised,"Would you like to go out? Or...."
Before he could finish his sentence, Violet interrupted. "How about we cook for ourselves?" she proposed cheerfully.
"But we don't have enough food stuffs in the house yet," Greg replied.
"Don't mind dear. Just use what we got now. Go make something," Violet said commandingly.
"Me? Are you sure? I don't know how to cook," Greg replied, with an innocent look. 'I've never cooked before. I don't even know how to make noodles, ' he thought.
"But I'm starving, honey," Violet said coquettishly. 'If preparing me a meal for me is such a big issue to him, then why should I even count on his many promises to take care of me?' she wondered, feeling a little disappointed.
Overpowered by her pleasant pleading, Greg raised complied. "Okay, I will make it now. But don't complain if it tastes bad," he said, gesturing with jazz hands.
At once, he rose from his seat and walked into the kitchen. Staring at his back, Violet regretted immediately. 'I don't think he is a good cook. Will I really enjoy whatever he's going to make?' she wondered.
To save herself the disappointment, Violet got up and followed him into the kitchen.
"Let me help you, honey," she offered as she began clearing utensils from the table.
Even though he was aware his wife would only make things worse, Greg had no intention of driving her out of the kitchen. With Violet around, he thought himself less lonely. All he wished was that she wouldn't burn the kitchen down.
The two clueless cooks panicked and fumbled about.
"Honey, help me with this. I don't know what to do," Violet asked.
"Sweetheart, I'm busy now. You pay attention
It all starts on that fateful night.
When Ella, who is the dear sister of Samuel’s best buddy, sneaks into the hotel where the drunken Samuel resides and gets pregnant…
"I don’t want a divorce!"
"I don’t want a divorce!"
"I did no such thing!"
Ella jumped on the bed and cried out. “I don’t want a scheming woman as my wife. Just sign the paper...
sa replied.
"Mum, it looks like you've missed Violet so much. She just left us for a month, and you're so anxious to see her. She has been married off to the Xiao family, and you can't meet her as frequently as you did. How about you move in with her?" Selina joked, smiling.
"I do have this plan," Elsa blurted out,"All along, Violet has been a lazy worm who cocoons herself to bed in the morning. She doesn't even have the slightest idea of sorting out her clothes and neglects her own appearance. I think those are enough reasons she might need around for a helping hand."
"It's not your turn to look after her now," Jacob broke in with a bright smile. 'It's hard to accept the fact that my dear granddaughter is married off. But it's a comfort that she has Greg- a fine young man for a husband. I'm sure he will take good care of her, ' he pondered.
"Dad's right. Don't forget that Violet has Greg. He cares for her very much," Wilson continued.
"You're right. I should let the newlyweds enjoy their new life," Elsa said pensively. "That's enough as long as Greg treats Violet well."
"Mum, don't worry about Violet. Greg is raised up well. He's the perfect gentleman who will do his best to cherish and protect his wife," Selina added.
