Chapter 739 Misunderstanding (Part One)

Name:My Mr. Soldier Author:Xing Chen
Sitting in the small dining room, Violet ate her delicious meal with relish, while Greg sat by, watching his wife with lots of affection.

"Don't miss a meal if you get angry next time, okay?" he lovingly admonished, looking her straight in the eyes. He reached out his left hand and lightly stroked her tousled hair dotingly.

"I lost my appetite since you were away. So I didn't eat anything," Violet explained casually, winking at her man. She thought to herself, 'Ain't I ecstatic, just to have him around now.'

"I'm sorry. It's all my fault," Greg apologized as he stared into Violet's eyes. 'I shouldn't have left her last night. Even though I was angry, I shouldn't have left her alone at home, ' he regretted.

"Greg," Violet called tenderly as she put down her chopsticks. She turned to look at him before saying,"Don't leave me alone, okay?" There was a mixture of softness and fear in her voice.

"I'll never do that again. I promise I'll stay with you," Greg promised, stroking her gently on the cheek. Since he left Violet last night, he had been restless. Even at the hospital today, he was absentminded. His life would suck without her, he thought.

"I believe you," Violet responded, her face breaking into a bright smile.

After dinner, Violet curled up on the couch watching TV. In the meanwhile, Greg did the dishes in the kitchen.

When he finished up, he walked out to find Violet sleeping on the couch.

Sidling up to Violet on tiptoe, he lifted her to his chest and carried her into the bedroom.

Carefully, he put her on the bed. When Violet woke up, she found herself lying on the bed. She was sure she had fallen asleep on the couch, so he must have carried her to bed. But she wondered if she had slept so deeply that she hadn't even woken up while he brought her to bed.

"You didn't sleep well last night, did you?" asked Greg who was lying beside his wife. Looking at her puffy eyes, he felt concerned.

"

“Let's go and register our marriage on your birthday!”

Marrying Daniel should have been her best birthday gift, but everything was ruined the moment when she caught him sleeping with another woman on the day before her birthday.

“He’s going to marry that woman! She... was my best friend!"

yet, lazybones?" Alice asked in a naughty voice.

"Of course, I'm up now. Besides, don't call me lazybones, Miss Alice. I'm not a lazy girl," Violet replied. 'Alice dared to call me that. I haven't met her just for several days, but she starts to make fun of me like that, ' she mulled, pouting.

"Don't you lead such a happy life? Greg cooks for you every day and does all the housekeeping. You hardly do anything at home, but still, you say you ain't lazy, girl. Don't I envy your lucky stroke?" Alice retorted in her typical stubborn fashion.

"You don't believe my words, Alice. You disappoint me," Violet snorted, pretending to be angry.

"Of course, I don't believe your words. It's hard to believe, isn't it?" Alice said. She then changed the subject. "You got thirty minutes. Dress up. Thirty minutes later, I'll drive by to pick you up. Then we can go out for lunch."

"Seriously? Half an hour? I haven't even dried my hair yet," Violet replied. Looking in the mirror, she gawked at her wet hair, lost in thought. 'It will take at least another half hour to get it done.'

"So be quick. I'll be there soon," Alice urged.

"Well, I gotta go. See you later," Violet responded and ended the call. Immediately she put down the phone on the bed and quickly reached for her dryer. . .
