"Haha, this brat is worried that you will blame him for what he did last night," Mond told Derek, smiling. He then stretched his arm and invited Lawrence to come and sit beside him.
After Lawrence sat down, Mond put one of his arms onto Lawrence's shoulder, gave him a bright smile and said, "Lawrence, you needn't worry about it at all! Even if your parents are not here, I will take good care of you always. Whoever dares to trouble you will be taught a lesson by me!"
Lawrence took a glimpse at his uncle Mond and grinned?asking, "Uncle, we are one big family! I will praise all of your efforts in front of mother!"
"Don't do that! I fear that your mother will only scold me for misleading you." Speaking of Cherry, Mond was still very scared as he thought that she might not like his friendly behaviour with her kids.
"Then let her say so!" Lawrence showed indifference. He was completely relaxed by now. On his way here, his emotions were high and he had thought that if Uncle Derek tried to teach him a lesson he would just keep quiet. But he didn't expect that all his three uncles would be so nice to him.
"You are still as naughty as when you were young!" Wilson helplessly shook his head, smiling.
"Uncle Wilson, do you know Austin is much naughtier than I am? If you don't believe me, you can just wait and see," said Lawrence.
"Alright! Speaking of my son, I almost forget that he has called me last night and told me that he would be coming back soon," Wilson responded.
"Soon? When? If his soon is 6 months later we will not wait for him. That will be too long!" Derek quipped Wilson.
"I don't know. Let him be! I am afraid that he has learnt nothing but only been having fun all these years abroad," Wilson replied with a resigned sigh. His son was still very immature and how he wished that he could be as outst
"You're my wife in name only, on paper only. My heart and love will never be yours."
Edward made it clear to Daisy that she was nothing to him. They were both victims of family greed -- the marriage was arranged for them.
Six years passed. She remained quiet, gaining a reputation in the army as a tough-as-nails colonel. When she walked into his life again, Edward fell in love with this woman...
you want me to bring a girl for you from abroad, I can do that tomorrow myself!" Lawrence said in a haste. His own parents had not said anything about his marriage, but his uncles were so anxious and worried.
"No. I want you to find a local girl from this city," Derek refused his proposal. He then pointed at all the photos scattered on the table and said, "These girls are all very good. You can choose some and your Aunt Selina will arrange a blind date for you."
Lawrence didn't say a word but turned his back to all his uncles.
"Hey, Lawrence, don't be mad at us like that! This is what your father also wants! If he would not have agreed, we wouldn't have dared to do it." Mond comforted Lawrence patiently.
"Why is my father so anxious about my marriage? I am not anxious at all," Lawrence grumbled. Impatience and discontent could easily be seen on his face.
"You are the eldest brother of all the siblings. If you don't get married soon, what would Alice, Austin and Natalie do?" asked Derek.
"Whoever is anxious to get married should get married soon. I don't care. Anyhow, I don't want to get married at present." He then added, "By the way, even if I wanted to get married, I won't go for a blind date."
