"An hour ago," Aria replied, her eyes still on the screen. "Your dinner is in the fridge. I've already eaten."
"I'm not hungry," Lawrence replied. He got up from the sofa and retreated to the bedroom.
Aria finally noticed Lawrence's hunched figure and her heart could not help but ache. She knew she had been sulky and indifferent the past few days but he was different today. He didn't even make any attempt to romance her. She didn't know what to do about it.
Aria sat straight and lowered the volume on the TV. She had her eyes fixed on the bedroom. The door was open and she could hear water running. 'He's probably taking a shower, ' she thought.
'I do love you, Lawrence. You still have my heart, ' she cried to herself, her hand clutched to her heart.
Inside the bathroom, Lawrence stood under the shower and let the water spray his face and down his entire body. The water flowed down from his hair down his cheeks to his broad shoulders and his muscular chest. He didn't notice the water as he stared straight ahead.'Although I am in an awkward situation, I will face everything bravely, ' he mediated. 'I got soaked in the rainstorm. But getting flooded and soaked with problems is a different feeling. But it's okay, I will face them head-on, ' Lawrence promised himself.
He let the water flow down his entire body for a few more minutes before he reached for the knob and turned off the water. He grabbed his towel to dry off.
He stepped out of the bathroom and could still hear the faint sounds of the TV in the living room. He knew Aria was still watching. And
“Let's go and register our marriage on your birthday!”
Marrying Daniel should have been her best birthday gift, but everything was ruined the moment when she caught him sleeping with another woman on the day before her birthday.
“He’s going to marry that woman! She... was my best friend!"
ed silent. But he stretched his arm out and pulled her closer to him. Everything felt all right with the world because Aria was with him.
"Lawrence," Aria called out with sweetness in her voice. She looked up at his face.
Lawrence mumbled, "Yes?" He opened his eyes and lowered them to meet Aria's eyes.
As they gazed into each other's eyes, they knew there would always be love for each other in them.
"I'm sorry for being so stubborn and making you worried," Aria apologized. She wished she could smoothen out his wrinkled forehead and take his worries away. She hated to see him in a bad mood.
Lawrence smiled. "It's not your fault, Aria," Lawrence told her, as he caressed her.
"You look so troubled. What is bothering you?" Aria couldn't help but ask.
"It's not you, Aria. This is something else," Lawrence replied.
"What is it? What's wrong?" Aria prodded Lawrence.
Lawrence sighed. "My parents and my sister are coming back home tomorrow," Lawrence announced. "I have to move back to the villa. I can't live here anymore."
