68 More heads are better than one

"I'm too tired to do anything today, Jonah, and so are you. Don't worry, I wouldn't leave the suite without alerting you." Han Jie said sincerely.

She was not playing around at this time and genuinely feels that they all need a rest, even Jonah. Who would expect that it sounds unbelievable to them?

If Jonah did not agree to her, she would really felt bad and would want to hit him.

Jonah stared at her for a while and nodded. "Thank you, miss." He said and walked away from her. "But… We have visitors today."

"Oh? Who is it?" Han Jie asked with a frown. "The PR team is here already? So early!" She said, not giving a chance for Jonah to speak.

So when she walked into the dining room and stopped. 'What is Kyou doing here?' Han Jie thought anxiously.

She wasn't sure if she was to be excited or to be scared that he was so early. Are they supposed to start the 'going out together often' ASAP?

"Good morning." Han Jie said cautiously greeted, still standing by the door.

Han Feng, Jun, Bai Min, and Suzuki Kyou looked up at her with different reactions, all chorused their greetings.

Han Feng smiled at his daughter, waving her to sit beside him.

Han Jun looks at her briefly before going back to his food.

'He is supposed to go to City S, right? Why not leave sooner?' Han Jie looked at him questioningly, but the other refused to acknowledge her further.

Bai Min was also the same. He was also acting so behave in front of his boss.

'Understandable,' Han Jie thought to herself, as she resisted the urge to roll her eyes.

Suzuki Kyou greeted and looked at her expressionlessly. Han Jie stumbled as she walked towards the chair closest to her father's.

She sat unsteadily and tried to pour herself a cup of tea. Suzuki Kyou noticed her shaky hands and collected the teapot from her and poured it himself.

"I didn't expect to see you here, Suzuki Kyou." Han Jie said as she took a careful sip of her tea.

Suzuki Kyou smiled at her making Han Jie raise a napkin to her nose.

"Why is that, MeiMei,?" Suzuki Kyou asked softly, his deep voice resonating around her.

Han Jie barely covered her reaction to being called Mei just in time. "Aren't you busy?" She asked instead, biting her lower lip.

Suzuki Kyou stared at her lips before answering. "I can manage. There are things that needed to be fixed." He said,, and went back to his meal.

'Eh? That answer also works?' Han Jie thought, silently urging and dreading him, saying more.

"We are here to talk about your engagement." Han Feng said after the brief silence.

Han Jie and Bai Min were startled.

"Engagement?" Han Jie asked as she stopped pushing her food around.

Suzuki Kyou smiled at her again, making Han Jie raise the napkin.

"Of course. It solves the current issue." He said.

"It's a foolproof plan. After all, it was not a secret in the first place. It was just being finalized sooner than planned." Han Jun said, defending the plan and making Han Jie know he had a hand in the plan.

Han Jie shook her head slowly before speaking, "If we jump straight into the engagement despite yesterday's news, no one is going to believe the marriage is not a contract marriage if that is what you were aiming for."

She really thought that they would see each other more so that the paparazzi had something to write just like last night. Then when Han Mei was back, then the engagement would be finalized.

'Wait! This is also not a bad idea…' Han Jie was considering this possibility.

Everyone sat back silently, Han Jun looking thoughtful. "You can get pregnant." He blurted out.

"What?! Shut up!" Han Jie yelled while glaring at him.

"You can pretend, at least you know." Han Jun replied with a shrug.

"You…" Han Jie was furious. Her face was red from embarrassment, but she could only send a murderous stare at Han Jun's way.

Suddenly a hand wiped her eyes as if removing the glare. It was Suzuki Kyou's hand. "What do we suggest we do then?" He asked clearly, not as bothered as the rest.

Han Jie frowned, "Er… I thought we already decided to go out more? We go on dates, show the press we are a couple before the engagement."

Suzuki Kyou hummed and smiled at her. "That can be arranged-." He said but was cut off as his phone suddenly ringed, indicating an incoming call.

Han Jie smiled, looking forward to the arrangements. She then took a bite of eggs.

While she was eating, Han Feng, Han Jun, and Suzuki Kyou had moved on to another topic, so she felt safe enough to zone out of their conversation. It was always best to let others do it and not involve her when dealing with a problem.

"What is to be done about the writer of the article then?" Han Feng asked Suzuki Kyou drawing Han Jie out of her fantasy land. He asked this as he was not aware that they also decided what to do with the Wang Jin's friend and that lawyers were already in it.

"I'll take care of it." Suzuki Kyou said quietly.

Han Jun blinked at Suzuki Kyou. He was not happy that his uncle did not get more information from him. 'Was he too lazy to explain of he was dismissing us?' He thought to himself.

Han Feng raised a brow while looking at Suzuki Kyou. He knew Suzuki Corp was powerful, but did he think they were not good enough to help?

He also knew Han Jun had a quick temper and was about to speak rudely to Suzuki Kyou. So he was sending him knowing glances, but the other seems not to notice it.

Han Jun gritted his teeth and was about to make a cutting remark at Suzuki Kyou's supposedly high handedness when Han Jie interrupted him.

"Really? Thank you so much! That is good, and then, we can just stay home, relax and rest, right?" She asked softly with bright eyes while looking at Suzuki Kyou.

When Suzuki Kyou gaze shifted back to her, she chuckled nervously while bringing her napkin up to her nose again.

Han Jun glared at his cousin. He knew it was a smart thing to put it that way, as if they were using Suzuki Kyou as a free labor, but he was angry than 'Han Jie' had said something 'smart' before him.

'Well, she was just her usual self.' Han Jun thought brooding.

Suzuki Kyou continued to look at Han Jie from the minute she had begun speaking to him. Because of this, he had completely missed Han Jun, glaring at his cousin. So complete was his focus on her.

Han Jie started to sweat nervously but showed no outward reaction. 'He was the one who told us he will take care of it. What is his problem now?'

She then cleared out her throat before speaking, "We can also help you if you want… Well, more heads are better than one." Han Jie said, but in her heart, she was complaining.

'I want to go out incognito, okay? Can you just fix this on your own, because you are already amazing? I will just reward you with a massage later.' She thought to herself silently but did not have the courage to speak out any of it at all.

Han Feng had opened his mouth to speak when Han Jie spoke again. The idea was there, and it sounds so much better, but Han Feng was sure. He just wasn't sure how Suzuki Kyou would take it from anyone, Han Jie included.

But to their surprise, Suzuki Kyou inclined his head thoughtfully before nodding. "I'll discuss it with you later when you have the time." He said, addressing Han Feng briefly before his eyes went back to Han Jie.

Han Jie just blushed and buried her face deeper into the napkin.

Han Feng held in his sigh of relief. His daughter's idea had been good, and Han Feng was suddenly glad Han Jun hadn't blurted out the idea with his usual bite and sarcasm.

'Something happened.' Han Feng suddenly thought as he realized something different. He then looked between his daughter and Suzuki Kyou. Han Feng was suddenly sure that Suzuki Kyou was a good actor or they both cared for each other.
