Chapter 10 - Are You Coming?

After everyone dispersed to do their tasks.

"Blake" she called out.

But he stayed frozen in his spot.

"Blake" she called again but he didn't move

" Blake!" He didn't move again.

She got irritated she threw a file on his face with that he broke from his reverie.

"Sis, how can you be so awesome. I never thought I could divide the tasks like this and make them work. Please take me as your disciple. Please" he asked her as he got on to his knees and started begging like an abandoned puppy on a rainy night. Chasina just rolled her eyes at him.

Blake really amazed by her. He left out many small points. But she grasped them and made the next move in the case.

She held his collar and made him get up from his position. "Don't you think of slacking your job, dumb headed brainless prawn," she said.

"Sis, what are we gonna do now?" He asked.

"Do you have the file of the victim who filed the first missing case?" She asked.

He nodded his head.

"Get that file to me" she ordered.

He immediately brought that file. He is confused about her actions.

He couldn't understand why she is asking the file now.

She went through the file. And asked finally "what happened to this victim?" She asked.

"She is dead. We found her body near a highway." He replied.

"Then why it is not included in the file?" She questioned.

"Because that body is found on the green City Highway. Precisely, it is found a few feet away from the Capital city border. So that case is Handled by Green city police. " he concluded.

"Then it means there is a chance of being more dead bodies," she said as she tapped her chin slightly.

Blake's eyes glowed with admiration. How dumb is he? How he didn't think of this possibility? But why does the trafficker needs to do this?

"But sis, why does the trafficker need to do this?" He asked.

"Because if her body is not found in our city but in another city. The case will be given to that city police. We will only get notified saying that a dead body from our city is found in that city. And they will hand the body to the people who are related to her. And the case will be closed. And we will have zero rights or authorities to deal with the case any further. " she explained patiently.

Blake nodded his head in understanding.

"Blake?" She called him with a serious face

" sis?" He responded immediately as he thought she is gonna assign a task.

"I wonder how did you manage to become a Captian with your pig brain" she won't as she rolled her eyes. Blake felt a black crow flew above his head.

"Sis, I became with my abilities!!" He defended himself.

"Then show your abilities. I just feel like I'm dealing with a dumbo," she said.

He just lowered his head in shame.

"What exactly happened?" She asked in a gentle voice as she went near him.

"My sister passed away," he said finally.

"When?" She asked.

"A week ago" he replied.

"How old is she?"

"20"

"She is too young"

"She is."

"How she died?"

"She had incurable heart disease." He replied sadly.

"So, you are letting your personal emotions rule your professional life? Huh?" She asked.

"What do you mean sis?" He asked with confusion in his eyes

"Lil Bro, do you know. I lost my parents in an accident at a very young age in front of my eyes. I was very small at that time. I have seen my parents being in a bloody mess. Their faces are filled in blood. It was an accident. Or precisely a murder.

"My father is a businessman. He loved to do business. With that, he started a business. His business grew without any leaps and bounds. But who would have thought his vicious competitor would be cruel enough to kill our family. The last scene that I have in my mind about my parents is my mom shielding me to save me as she hugged me in her hands. Her eyes pleading God to save me. I was crying. I don't know why my mother is acting like that but all I can feel is pain physically and mentally. All I know something is not right. I passed out and woke up after three longs days. But I didn't see my mother or father but my father's brother. He is in his military uniform. He took leave and came to see me. He took me in and raised me like his own. "

"I think you might have doubt why I'm saying all these. Right?" She asked.

He didn't say anything but stood silent as he waited for her reply.

" I become the police so that I can punish those people who killed my family. But after joining this field I found that the man is dead already.

" I know it's hard to control your emotions. But you need to because it's life. It moves on without stopping.

Life is like a flowing river. Even if there is a rock in its way, it flows through it.

And you, my boy, you have to behave like grass. It knows when to bend and when to stand straight. A tall and mighty tree will be plucked out when a disaster came but the grass will be there standing confidently while shining brightly after the calamity dies.

"Don't let your emotions rule you. I know how you used to work and how active you were. You should not let your brain get affected due to the death of your sister. I know your sister is very close to you. But you can't accompany her forever. She will feel sad if she found her brother not doing his job. You don't want to disappoint her right?" She finished her words with a question.

He simply nodded his head.

She stayed silent for nearly an hour giving him enough time to think thoroughly. For a normal person, it's hard but for him to think it's easy.

"Are you coming with me?" She asked after an hour.

"Where?" He asked.

"To make our first move in the case," she said as she smiled.

"So are you coming?" She asked again.

"Yes, I am," he said. His words contained confidence and his face didn't show any sad expressions.
