Chapter 133 - End Of Small Memory

Ch-133

As usual, she went for a walk all by herself. As Alexander returned to the military base. And Arnold will return home late. 

So, she decided to take a walk alone. If there is a butler or personal maids they might have accompanied. But there are none. 

When she was taking a walk she saw a kid falling onto the ground and went there to help him up. She helped him up. His mother found him and thanked Ariana for helping her son. 

When she turned around to take a step she almost tripped as she didn't watch her step. But to her bad luck, a car came and hit her at the same time. She fell on to the ground unconsciously. A pool of blood started flowing from her legs. 

The people who are watching from the side are stunned at the scene. The car driver immediately helped her into his car and took her to the hospital. 

He admitted her to the nearest hospital. And informed Arnold Rosella. 

Arnold stopped the meeting in the middle and went over to check on his wife. 

By the time he reached the hospital, he saw his wife lying in the bed with a pale face. Her pink lips are colorless as if she is sick for many days. 

He held her hand accompanied by his unconscious wife. 

Arnold got up and called Alexander. He couldn't share his sadness with anyone but his brother. 

Alexander picked the call as he was still in base. If he is on a mission he cannot pick the call. 

"Hello, brother, what is it? How is a sister in law? Is she good? How is her pregnancy?" He asked in his worried tone.

Even though he is in the country when they are in the base they won't return home often. 

He is so worried about his little nephew or niece. 

He started bragging about his identity that he is going to be an uncle soon. 

His friends and comrades almost cried on their knees as they begged him to stop his bragging. 

Some of them even called their parents and demanded why their siblings aren't married and didn't give him a nephew! 

Some single child comrades demanded an explanation from their parents why they didn't give birth to more siblings. 

Their parents are speechless by their son's behavior suddenly. Some decided to get their sons married before they turned insane. 

All thanks to Alexander, some of his bachelor friends and some of them who pledged to die as a single dog is going to get married. 

They cannot do anything but to shut their mouths tightly. 

Hearing Alexander's questions Arnold couldn't hold back his sobs. 

"The child is gone!" He said in between his sobs. 

What!? 

He must have heard it wrong? 

That's right. He heard it wrong. 

"Brother, did I hear it wrong? That must be the case. Sister in law is taking good care of herself. Nothing will happen to her and their child," Alexander said. 

Even though he said like that he couldn't help but tremble. 

That was the first child for their family. No elders are left except for his father. His father is sick. 

"Alex, you are not hearing things. It's true. Ariana has a miscarriage. She was hit by a car. I'm grateful at least she is safe and sound. But the child is no more," he said as he sobbed. 

"Brother…. I'm coming," Alexander said rushed out of the base without even informing higher-ups. 

His mother is in pain. How can he let her suffer? Even though he cannot reduce it, he will try to ease it up a little. 

He rushed to the hospital in two hours in his military uniform only. 

When the people saw his grand entry and his clothes no one dared to stop him. They let him enter as he pleased. 

Alexander came and saw his brother's distorted look. He can see the lost look on his brother's face. 

Arnold buried his face in his hands as his body trembled in violent tremors. He can understand his pain. 

Being his brother only he is feeling so sad. He missed the chance of being an uncle. Even his heart is aching badly for the loss. 

How can he not know the pain of losing his child? 

Arnold prepared a big room for their children. He made it into two parts. One side is filled with girls' toys and the other side is filled with boys' toys. He arranged a walk-in closet for the child and filled the closet. 

He started counting the days for the arrival of the child. Arnold loved kids. He is envious of other children. He always wanted to have a child on his own. When he is having one he couldn't help but feel very happy. He made all the arrangements for the kid, who is going to be born. But…. But…. But in the end, the child is no more. 

It's not a small loss. Arnold kept his expectations on the child but the child left them even before it arrived. 

He felt like the world he built with so much anticipation is crumbling down. 

He tried his best to protect the child but in the end, the child is dead even before it is born. 

Arnold didn't know how to reveal this matter to his wife. 

His unruly and disobedient wife is behaving obediently and taking care of herself because of the child. 

She also has expectations like him or more than him. Arnold can just see a small bump in her stomach. But Ariana is carrying the child. The child is part of her. The child is with her, slept with her, took a nap with her, laughed along with her, cried with her, and did everything with her. The child became a part of her life in the past three months. Even if there is a small disturbance in her life and habits she used to immediately reach the doctor and took necessary suggestions. 

But despite all her efforts, and care, the child still couldn't make it. 

It's not the work of enemies or herself it's the work of fate. 

Now, Arnold is afraid that she will blame herself for the things. He doesn't want her to be miserable. 

He heard that if women go through a miscarriage during their first pregnancy then they will be traumatized. 

What if Ariana becomes like that. Arnold doesn't even want to think about the possibilities. He just doesn't want to face the present situation. 

He took a deep breath and tried to calm his mind and body which was trembling. 

At that, he heard a voice calling him, "Brother," 

He raised his head to see Alexander. 

He hugged Alexander tightly before letting him go. 

Alexander wanted to say a lot of things but decided it's best if he hasn't said a single thing. 

Arnold and Alexander maintained their silence for the whole evening and night. 

Next day, 

Ariana woke from her bed. She felt that she lost a part of her soul. She touched her stomach, it felt empty. It's not because she is hungry but for some other reason. She concluded that she lost her child. 

She cried for the whole morning. She woke up at 3. A. M. She continued to cry till 7. A. M. She cried for the whole of four hours. She didn't when and how but she fell asleep. 

She woke up in the afternoon only. 

After she woke up. She stared blankly at the wall in front of her. 

She started at the wall for three hours straight. Her food is left untouched. Her tablets are not eaten. She didn't even move. She just stared like that for a long while. Her behavior scared the people who cared for her. 

They didn't know how to shake her from the stupor. They just wanted to say to her and oat her back saying that it's fine. But she never gave them a chance. 

Arnold bought the doctor to take a look at her. But even when the doctor checked her she didn't say or move or reject the treatments. 

She just let them do whatever they want and see what they want. 

"Mr. Rosella, she is fine. She is just disappointed for not being able to take care of her child. She is fighting with her inner thoughts and battles. She just needs some space. Let's check her condition for a while," listening to the doctor's words they said nothing. They heard the doctor's words and kept their silence. 

After a long silence and silent battle, Ariana opened her mouth. instead of shouting and roaring, she just said a few words. Which stunned everyone. 

"I want to work," she only spoke four words no more or less. 

All the days she worked like a maniac. She didn't take care of another one. She worked like a maniac. She made her extremely guilty. 

She only cries when there is no work or when she is alone.

Alexander smiled as he remembered one of his painful memories.
