Chapter 157 - A Sleepess Night

Chasina and Edward returned from the banquet. 

Edward is still in his uniform. So, his presence is quite intimidating at the banquet. Chasina introduced him as the one who handled the things in previous years. 

People who wanted to introduce their sons to Chasina are chased away by Edward. 

After the banquet ended they directly went home. Chasina got freshened up and changed. She directly slept. 

She doesn't know why she felt very sleepy today.

Edward called everyone into the hall. 

His look is grim. 

His look made others understand that he is beyond pissed off.

"Everyone explain this to me," He said she threw Chasina's medical report on to the table.

Adiana took it and saw the contents. 

She is stunned. Her expression turned from disbelief to disappointment and finally to a sad expression. She lowered her head.

"What happened Anna?" Alexander asked. 

Whatever happened Edward will not take it on the family or rather at least he would not take it on Alexander.

But today he saw something different. His son is beyond pissed off.

"Chasina is suffering from PTSD," she said.

"What does it mean?" Laura asked. 

"Post-traumatic stress disorder. When this triggers, she will behave oddly. Like she is a different person. She will think, she will try to think the things which hurt her didn't even happen and they will be solved like they are no big deal. For example, she deluded herself that Henrieth is still alive and went on a mission," Adiana said,

Everyone in the hall is stunned at her words.

"Laura, we sent you there not only to help her but also to take care of her. But what are you doing till she is in this stage? When I went to her office she asked me 'Who are you?'" he asked her with his bloodshot eyes. 

Laura kept quiet. She knew she failed her work. She couldn't help but blame herself for being careless. She didn't think her friend would turn out like this. 

"Dad, you and Adiana, why did you let her live alone. What if she did something stupid given her condition? Don't you want her anymore? Huh? Have you ever checked on her? So, what if she doesn't allow you. Do you need her permission to enter her office? Huh? 

"She is your daughter. Only you and our family can boss her. When coming to health she has to listen to us. Her life, her wish. Her choices, her wish. But health, our wish. I was away only for two months. She is already in this state. 

"Also, do you know Ambrose Gabriel is in contact with her? If not for his sake she would be in a dire state.

"Do you know we got to know she has sleeping issues and combined with her nightmare and Henrieth's deaths she ended up in this state? Dad, Anna, and Laura, I trusted you people.

"Now I'm disappointed. I'm beyond disappointed.

"The doctor asked us to join her in the hospital as soon as possible. So, that she can be cured fast. 

"I met with the country's best psychiatrist. He said Chasina can be cured faster because of Sir. Ambrose sent Henrieth's will and his last words to her. She is trying to believe the truth. 

"I just hope you people won't disappoint me any further. She said she will transfer the company stuff to Laura. 

"Laura, will you handle it? You don't need to say it now. Think of it and give me your answer," he said as he turned around. Edward is truly scared about this. What if she killed herself? Huh? He couldn't imagine but he didn't voice it out. Even though he didn't say they can understand it. 

Edward left after he said his piece. 

"I never saw my son being angry," Alexander said. 

"Dad, I'm sorry. I failed you," Laura said.

"Child, not only you, but we also failed. It's all our fault. Just because you are staying with her for a long time doesn't mean you are at fault," Alexander said. 

"Anna, is this disease so serious?" Alexander asked. 

"No, dad, it would have been serious. If we have delayed some more time. But now since we have found it earlier. We can get it cured. But these kinds of things cannot be delayed. The earlier the treatment is given the earlier they get cured.

"Dad, in this kind, people will think what they want to think. This can be cured in two ways. One we have to agree to them. If we agree to them the chances of them getting cured will be less. If we let them face the harsh truth. They will start to think. It is complicated but it is effective. 

"Dad, I hope we shall use the second one. Even if it hurts her, it is for her best," Adiana said.

Alexander let out a deep sigh. 

"My daughter is in this state due to my negligence! How useless of me!" Alexander said. 

He didn't cry even when her marriage was ruined. He is crying now because his daughter is ill. He doesn't know what kind of troubles and dreams his daughter is facing.

He has so much power but he couldn't do anything to his daughter. He felt really useless. His brother and sister-in-law trusted him and handed her to him. Now, how can he face them?

His own son said that he is disappointed. There is no denying that they are also disappointed.

"Anna, Laura, pack her things in the office and help her return here. Even if she cried or she was against it doesn't matter. She already suffered enough. Now, I don't want her to be alone. 

"Laura, If you take over the company I will be happy. Consider it carefully," Alexander said.

"You go ahead and sleep. It's already late," He said and got up.

"Anna, I'm counting on you. Please look after her. Also, Edward may not have eaten anything. Serve him food," With that Alexander left.

It is not a good night for them. 

Edward just took the shower and left to study. He didn't even glance at Adiana.

IT was a sleepless night for everyone. Including Andrus.
