Chapter 202 - Any More Questions?

Ch-202

"Dear Media Friends, Since we have finished the problem! Let's move to another one! But only one person is asked at a time. After he finishes another person will get the chance to ask!" Hammond said as he raised his voice to unknown lengths.

"Now let's start with the person," Hammond said.

The first reporter was eager to ask the question.

"Sir, It is said that you stole the seat of President from Mr. Augustus. Is it true?" A reporter asked straightly.

Andrus laughed out. He looked at the reporter and asked, "Mr. Reporter, After I came into power three elections were held. And these three Augustus were in opposition. All these three times I won unanimously. Can you tell me how and where I stole his position?" Andrus asked.

The reporter was dumbfounded. It is true. No one thought about it. Citizens are the ones who voted for him. They are the ones who made him sit in the past three elections. Now how did it become stolen?

"Unless, you are slandering me for faking the votes," Andrus added.

The votes cannot be faked in the Alvonia. Each person can vote only two votes. And that too they can vote from Automated voting machines. After a citizen votes his two votes, his ID will be blocked. And he cannot vote anymore. And the AVM's are not connected to the internet. So, hacking cannot be done. The votes voted by the citizens will be stored in the memory banks of the AVM. So, hacking them is near to impossible. And they mainly run on current, batteries, and inverters. If one is turned off, the other will start working.

Andrus' statement stilled the excited bunch of the crowd. They didn't expect to hear this statement. No politician wouldn't even joke about this accusation. If they have to accuse the leaders of this, then they will be questioning the citizens of Alvonia. The whole world knows how aggressive the citizens of Alvonia are. They wouldn't mess with them. Messing with the citizens of Alvonia is equal to courting their death.

Andrus only said two lines, but these two lines made their remaining words stuck in their throat. They felt that their throat was painful and they couldn't utter a single word.

So, this is their Mr. President who is known as having the tongue of a Vicious snake.

Then what?!

Do they think they can mess with the President?!

Fools!?

"We didn't dare to say that Mr. President. We believe in the judgment of citizens!" The reporter said hastily.

"Next question, please," Andrus said when he saw the first reporter sitting in his seat.

"Sir, can you let us know how the internal decision happened ten years ago when you are selected as President in Distress? Everyone says that it should belong to Augustus Severance. Please tell us what happened that time," This time the second reporter is humble and tricky.

He humbly asked the problematic question. If it is asked such as "The position years ago should have belonged to Augustus, how did it end up with you?" If it is asked like this it would be very offensive.

And the things which appeared to be calm wouldn't have been calm. This would have been a big mess.

Andrus looked at the second reporter.

He smiled. "I wonder Why I have not asked this question in the past ten years. Well, it doesn't matter. I will take this as a chance to clarify everything now.

"I was elected as Distress President when Late President Charles Severance was dead. But I was too young back then. So, I wasn't elected. After three years, when Sir. Brock Bernando was attacked and was hospitalized, the government followed the royal will of his Presidential claim," Andrus said.

"Sir, What about the situation with Sir. Severance death?" The reporter questioned.

"My Dear Reporter friend, Please let me finish. Please be seated," Andrus said with an ambiguous smile.

The reporter seated.

"Actually, Sir. Charles Severance included me as his political successor. Seeing him, Sir. Brock Bernando followed his steps.

"If you guys are willing to wait. I would like to display the wills. Who is willing to wait?" Andrus said wantedly.

Actually, Andrus has those wills right now. Displaying the wills of the two Ex-Presidents need a lot of procedure. He needs permission from the Judiciary system. And that too, there are some rules and conditions.

Andrus knew this question would sooner or later. So, he took permission for this when he became the President for the first time. And those permissions are valid for the next fifteen years. Since Andrus's request is a bit long, Andrus took a year to get the Permissions from the Judiciary system.

Andrus was worried that no one would ask him about this. After these elections, Andrus is sure that Augustus couldn't wait to drag him down. So, he is well prepared.

The reporters are willing to wait. So, they agreed. He made his P.A. Hammond goes to his office and gets a file in the most confidential file and seal of Alvonia. Just by appearance, one can say that it is very confidential.

Andrus got them near him.

"Technical department, please prepare the equipment which can project these papers," Andrus ordered. In another fifteen minutes, the equipment was ready.

Andrus handed the wills to the technical assistants. They started displaying the papers one by one. Seeing the reporters are taking the pictures furiously.

"A scanned copy of these wills will be provided to every news media present here," Andrus said.

The reporters left gaping. They didn't expect this from their Mr. President. Normally, this wouldn't take place. If these wills are fake then they will not dare to release them. Does it mean they are true wills?

After the Andrus statement, the reporters and Cameraman calmed down.

The wills are displayed one by one on the screen.

When they are done displaying, Andrus looked at the others and asked, "The next question, please,"

No one stood up.

"If you have no questions others can go on. But one by one," Andrus asked.
