Nina stared at her. She had not expected to hear a no from her so quickly. Didn't she want to save her sister? Was Arnav more important? Just as she was about to say something, she heard a cool voice saying from the doorway, " What's going on? "
Both Sofya and Nina turned around to see Arnav walking in. He strode over and stood beside Sofya, gazing at her, she looked mesmerizing in that gown.
Arnav had been scrolling through news feed when he received a call from his assistant. Since the reception in the room was poor, the manager had directed him to a large window which opened just beside the dressing room. As he stood there, talking on the phone, he had heard some noise in the dressing room. Wondering who Sofya could have been talking to, he had walked towards the room. The door was a little ajar. Listening, he received a little surprise when he had heard Nina asking Sofya to leave him. Not at all expecting the answer that Sofya gave her, and that also so determinedly, he felt his heart flutter. It made him feel wanted. That's when he decided to intervene.
" Your back zip is open, let me help you. " Without waiting for her answer, he lightly grabbed her shoulders, turning her around so that her back was facing him. Pulling the zip up, his fingers lightly brushed her skin.
Sofya felt her cheeks flush the moment his fingers touched her skin. It was as if someone had given her electric shock. Breathing deeply, she looked up at him, noticing a warmth in his eyes, that she had never seen before. Their eyes interlocked for a minute, before they were brutally brought to present by a loud coughing sound.
Nina felt her temper rising. Clenching her fists, she had a thousand thoughts running through her mind that she wanted to spat at Sofya, but she had to swallow them all just because Arnav was present. She had never seen him acting so lovey dovey with any other chicks, but then again they were all merely flings and Sofya was no ordinary woman.
Averting his gaze from Sofya, Arnav looked at Nina.
" What are you doing here? "
Nina had not expected such a blunt and direct question. Nevertheless, she pouted and flashing her eyes, replied " Just wanted to see an old friend. "
" Yeah, but this is not the place. If you really wanted to meet Sofya, you could have gone to her office. " Pausing, he continued further, " This place was booked today for her trial. How did they let you in? " he asked her coldly.
It was true. Mr. Raizada had told Arnav that he had specifically booked the place for Sofya to select the wedding gown.
Nina's face blanched. Such an insult, and that too to her face. Hitching her sickly smile back on her face, she walked towards Arnav. Linking arms with him, she replied gazing at him, " I also wanted to select a gown. I am also getting married. "
