Ji Lili waited for a while for Xie Zhoujun to back her statement, but heard no response from him. Furiously, she turned to him, only to find that he was staring at Shangguan Ning. His eyes were totally transfixed upon her.

“Xie Zhuojun, I am speaking with you. Are you deaf or mute?!”

Xie Zhuojun had never really liked Ji Lili. He had found her to be extremely rude. He had told Shangguan Rouxue many times that she shouldn’t hang out with her much but it was as if Shangguan Rouxue didn’t care much about his opinions.

As of this moment, he couldn’t stand Ji Lili. Somehow, he ignored her and said to Shangguan Ning, “Ning, get in the car. Let me drive you and your friend home.”

Shangguan Ning looked at him in surprise – why was he treating her so nicely? Didn’t he hate her for having poured hot water onto Yang Wenshu? Didn’t he think that Ning was a ruthless woman?

Mi Xiaoxiao’s gossip antennae stood up. She was far more intuitive than most people. She was a smart girl who instantly understood that there was definitely some history between this man and both the sisters. Clearly, it hadn’t been a happy ending and she was sure that it was Shangguan Ning who had been wronged.

“No need. We have a chauffeur driven car, ready to pick us up anytime we wish. A broken Land Rover just won’t do for Her Highness. Ha, too cheap! Her Highness never sits in dilapidated cars. You three can have it.”

The clever Mi Xiaoxiao instantly changed the way she addressed Shangguan Ning. She was prudent enough to not disclose the name of Shangguan Ning’s husband, because she realised that maybe Shangguan Ning didn’t want these people to know about her private matters. Otherwise Shangguan Rouxue, Ning’s younger sister would definitely have known about her being marriage with Jing Yichen.

She wasn’t worried about getting caught either, because as long as she called her boyfriend, he would come and act as Shangguan Ning’s driver, and fetch them both from there.

The three of them thought that Mi Xiaoxiao was just exaggerating.They definitely had no one to pick them up.

Ji Lili was the most impulsive. She said instantly, “If anyone comes to pick you up today, I will renounce my family name and take up yours instead. If not, then you two losers should kneel on the ground and bark, just like stray dogs would.”

The moment she finished her sentence, a state of the art Aston Martin pulled up in front of them, followed by eight brand-new Rolls-Royce cars that were worth tens of millions of Yuan.

The convoy consisted of nine cars that were extremely sleek and luxurious, making Xie Zhuojun’s half-worn Land Rover look like a lump of rusted metal.

A man dressed in a suit came out of the first car. He was tall and courteous. He was Tiger, Jing Yichen’s personal driver.

Ignoring Ji Lili and the other two people with her, he walked straight to Shangguan Ning and said courteously, “Your Highness, Master has asked me to drive you home. Master has already bought you what you needed. Please get in the car.”

Shangguan Ning nodded and pulled Mi Xiaoxiao, who was still drooling at the sight of the motorcade.

Mi Xiaoxiao was shocked beyond belief. She had just said all that she had, as a joke. She never meant any of it to happen but clearly the President was an intelligent man. He had really sent a convoy of luxurious cars to fetch them.

She didn’t come back to her senses until Shangguan Ning pulled her into the car. Then she rolled down the window and jeered at Ji Lili, saying, “Hey, you! Go home and change your family name when you are done barking! Shangguan Lili! Hahaha, does your father know that you have changed your family name?”

Mi Xiaoxiao was unaware that Ji Lili had taken up her mother’s family name. She had thought that like all others, she too had followed her father’s family name. This casual mistake drove Ji Lili wild with anger.

She had no father, and she had been brought up by her mother. The word ‘Father’ was a taboo in her life.

No one dared to mention her father in front of her!

She was so livid that at that very moment she swore that she would reward Shangguan Ning with a terrible death, for her behaviour today. She would see to it herself.

Seeing the onlookers watch attentively as the convoy of nine cars drove away, she couldn’t help but swear, “What is the point of sending nine cars to pick up these two tramps? What are they bragging for? Family Ji is much wealthier than this! Those two are not worth these luxuries!”

Xie Zhuojun and Shangguan Rouxue who sat beside her, didn’t respond to her. They were both silent, thinking of different things.

Xie Zhoujun was so used to Shangguan Ning following him around, all the time. As he saw her vanish into the city’s traffic in his dream car, Xie Zhuojun felt as if he was losing out on something very important in his life.

She was married and that too, to a man who was so mysterious and powerful. The don’t-mess-with-me vibe that the man gave out, was something that Xie Zhuojun couldn’t forget to this day.

Shangguan Rouxue couldn’t believe that Shangguan Ning was already married!

The motorcade of cars that had come to fetch Ning had made Rouxue so jealous. Ji Lili was so rich and influential and even she hadn’t had the luxury of having a fleet of cars like these.

Her recently manicured nails pierced into her palm but she remained oblivious to the stinging pain that followed.

She looked at Xie Zhuojun beside her. A glint of hatred flashed across her eyes. Then she held Zhoujun’s arm and asked in a gentle voice. “Zhuojun, is sister really… married? Why didn’t I know anything?”

Xie Zhuojun was silent for a long time. Ignoring her question, he said, “It is getting late, let’s go home now. I will be late for my meeting tonight.”

The smile on Shangguan Rouxue’s face, froze. He turned around and got into the car without even waiting to see that she was comfortably seated. She was so agitated with his indifference towards her.

It only took one moment for her mask to come back on. In an instant, she became gentle and polite, like she usually was. With her smile still intact, she pulled Ji Lili into the car.

Seated in the backseat of the car with Shangguan Ning, Mi Xiaoxiao couldn’t come to terms with what she was witnessing.

This was the President’s car. It was extremely luxurious and no other woman had ever sat in it before Ning.

Shangguan Ning couldn’t stand her silly behaviour anymore. With her teeth clenched, she whispered in Xiaoxiao’s ear, “Ms. Mi Xiaoxiao, you are an elite white collar employee at Jingsheng Enterprise. Can’t you just act more appropriately?”
