The metallic smell of blood was all over the bedroom with blood splatter on the quilts, pillows and the floor. Jing Zhongxiu and Jing Tianyuan were both covered in blood stains.
But the good news was that Jing Tianyuan had woken up. He looked pale, but it seemed that after the blood spill, he had become much more energetic.
Mu Wensheng put away his blood stained silver needles and started to curse despite the fact that Jing Tianyun had just woken up from the coma.
“Have I given you therapy for so many years in vain? You collapsed due to such a small matter? You would have continued to be in a coma had it not been for me. None of the deities in the world would have come to your rescue. You are 80 years old not 18! Don’t vent your anger as you wish. Weigh your anger before you throw it else you will be a victim of your own anger.”
“If you dare to get sick next time, don’t call me, because you will not survive a second time. And no more silver needles would work on you any more. I am an old man too and I can’t just be jerked out of the bed in the middle of the night, otherwise I will die as well!”
Mu Wensheng put away the silver needles carefully and then struck the bed suddenly as he shouted at Mo Lan furiously, “And you, old woman, even my two wives would not have caused as much trouble together as you do. Do you really plan to make Tianyuan suffer so much that he almost dies?”
He had already known why Jing Tianyuan passed out. He had wanted to scolded Mo Lan ages ago, but when he first came to the room, Jing Tianyuan was in too dangerous a situation for him to teach anyone a lesson.
His mood of scolding finally came back when Jing Tianyuan was brought back to life.
He was a year older than Jing Tianyuan and Mo Lan, so he didn’t hold back in scolding Mo Lan. After all, he was the only one who dared to scold Mo Lan at his will in the entire room.
“Jesus, you are simply too annoying. What are you going to do when Tianyuan dies? I want him to keep me company until we are both 150 years old. For now I can only hope that he can survive this year with you around.”
“You did whatever you wanted with him when you were both young. But keep your eyes open for the situation right now! What are you holding the bad temper for still? Tianyuan has always spoiled you. Well, it might not be of any of my business, but if I don’t point it out, I might have to become your specially hired doctor with a helicopter coming to my door deep at night frequently!”
Mu Wensheng was indeed furious so he kept cursing all the time. He was a legendary doctor whom everyone else should look up to! He could snap as much as he wanted to.
“Do anything you want with your own properties, but don’t ever think about moving anything of Family Jing. You so silly to give away those properties. Are you not worried that those dead corpses of Family Jing would climb out of the tomb to take revenge?”
Mu Wensheng had always been a man who was into money, because Family Mu was not as wealthy as Family Jing. Family Mu was not approved by the public in the early years, so they didn’t earn much money before. So he couldn’t stand at all was that someone else splurged the money. He himself had used all of his money upon buying the medicine ingredients so what he had left was Family Mu’s Hospital.
The moment he heard that Mo Lan had given a quarter of Family Jing’s properties to Jing Yiran, he got so furious that he wanted to hit someone. He would definitely hunt anyone down who dared to splurge away the properties of Family Mu’s Hospital.
Mu Wensheng knew Jing Tianyuan well. He knew that Jing Tianyuan didn’t care about the money. He cared about the properties from the ancestors.
“Jesus, I am so pissed. You know that human beings give out poisonous elements enough to kill mice every time we get angry. Jesus! My lifespan must have been reduced!”
He kept nagging and no one present uttered a sound. Jing Tianyuan was lying in the bed feebly and listened to his scolding. He had no expression on the face.
Because he thought that he and Mo Lan were worth the blame.
But maybe Mo Lan was so stimulated that she collapsed right after after hearing Mu Wensheng scold her.
“Mom!”
“Grandma!”
Jing Zhongxiu and Shangguan Ning burst out at the same time and then came to her side to help her up.
“Another one passes out. Have you people taken me as a free labor force since I am here?”
Mu Wensheng complained as he rapidly felt Mo Lan’s pulse. A couple of seconds later, he released the hands and said, “This old woman is fine. Just let her take a rest for a day and make her drink some water. No medicine needed!”
He went towards the bed and said as he rolled his eyes, “Look at her, she passes out for fun and you pass out fatally.”
As Jing Tianyuan watched Jing Zhongxiu carrying Mo Lan out to the other room for rest, he said hoarsely, “Stop nagging, my head is aching. It was an accident this time and I won’t die so easily with you around me.”
“Don’t! I am not up to take the responsibility!” Mu Wensheng glared despite the compliment. “Just live your life. One more accident and half of my life will be gone. I need several more years to live!”
The two old men were still talking when Jing Zhongxiu returned.
Jing Tianyuan said softly, “Zhongxiu, make sure the servants take good care of your mother. She is too old to go through anything.”
Jing Zhongxiu nodded. “Don’t worry. The other doctors have already checked her up.”
“Bah, she will be fine. She has not worried about one single thing in her life and has been living a very happy life during these years. She is much healthier than you. She won’t die before you!”
Mu Wensheng talked in a very impolite way, but apparently, he was indicating that everything was fine with Mo Lan.
Jing Tianyuan got slightly assured after making sure that Mo Lan was fine. He was indeed annoyed about Mo Lan giving the properties of Family Jing to Jing Yiran, yet he had never wanted anything bad to happen to her.
They had been a couple for so many years. Although Mo Lan kept making mistakes, it was not very easy that they could be married for so long.
It was late at night, and Jing Tianyuan was feeling very grateful to his old buddy, although he said nothing.
He said with a hoarse voice, “Just stay here tonight. You have to be on my service anyway, in case I feel unwell again.”
“Okay, I will stay here. I need to give you one more needle tomorrow. I don’t want to ride the helicopter again. It feels weird. I am not a national leader!”
