Chapter 464 - Fetal Movement

Someone was standing at the end of the corridor of the 39th floor, glancing at the staircase cautiously.

The man with Zhao Anan on his shoulders came up from the other side and saw Mu Qing’s man.

When the man went towards the other side of the passage, the man sneaked into the apartment.

The sound of the door closing suddenly made the guard come closer and check it. He walked to the source of the sound.

He had just come to the door when it was opened again. A fierce-looking man appeared and spoke some fluent Japanese words before slamming it shut, again.

He shook his head. People from different parts of the world had different tastes and preferences.

After searching the 39th floor, Mu Qing started to walk downstairs with his men to search the 38th floor.

The man on guard recounted to Mu Qing about what just happened.

Mu Qing nodded. But he didn’t lessen his cautious approach. He still made the room as an important house to watch in future. But nothing more happened in this house later, and the guard didn’t discover Zhao Anan.

He would have never thought that he had just had a narrow miss with Zhao Anan.

Many years later, he would get so guilty and regretful whenever he thought of this matter that he would want to slap himself.

One month later, Jing Yichen received concrete information from Tiger.

They were now sure that Zhao Anan had tried to settle down in the UK and even bought a villa. But she had gone underground right after she bought the house and hence it was certain that she had been taken away.

They had searched the entire UK and failed to find even a single trace of Zhao Anan.

Lee Duo had replaced Tiger and continued with the search. Tiger, on the other hand, came back to A City and continued to be Jing Yichen’s right hand man.

Jing Yiran had been proacative for the past one month.

He had increased his strength and followers but Jing Yichen made Tiger cut down these forces and to get them to switch.

Jing Yichen, on the other hand, was living a leisurely life.

He barely wore formal suits these days. Most of the time, he would dress in casual clothes and sportswear, because that was what Shangguan Ning was wearing and he wanted to match his appearance with her.

Shangguan Ning had been pregnant for more than four months, now. Apart from the morning sickness that occurred every now and then, she was fine during the rest of hours. She felt a lot more sleepy these days, though.

Her belly had started to show and she could feel the fetal movement, now.

Shangguan Ning got extremely surprised and happy, when it first happened.

That was the first time she felt the baby move and she cried out to Jing Yichen to feel it too.

Soon, the baby moved again.

Jing Yichen got even more excited than Shangguan Ning. He smiled for a long time after he touched her bulging stomach. Everything was new and delightful for a new father.

The couple seemed to have found a novel toy which made them both excited and nervous at the same time.

Jing Yichen even brought her to the hospital for another check-up.

Mu Xin was still the doctor in charge there. She told Shangguan Ning that the baby was developing very well and the fetal movement would occur more frequently, henceforth.

Also, Mu Xin told Shangguan Ning that it was a baby boy.

Shangguan Ning was pleased after knowing that she was having a baby boy. She hoped that he would turn out just like his father.

Jing Tianyuan became even more delighted after hearing the news. But after the excitement, he felt a bit regretful.

He actually would have preferred a girl. There had not been any girl born in Family Jing in generations.

In the old lord’s heart, it would be great if Shangguan Ning could have both a boy and a girl.

But it was just a thought. The old lord was already very delighted to show off his great-grandson that was on the way.

Mu Wensheng had been in a terrible mood recently. He had become quite irritable!

All because his grandson had left his job and gone to the UK to search for a girl!

His grandson was a 30 years old man, soon to be 31. But he was still so unsteady and was chasing after a woman rather than stay and learn from his grandpa. Whenever Mu Wensheng thought of this matter, he got so annoyed that his beard would shiver.

Jing Tianyuan had a great grandson on the way and his grandson was missing!

But senior men tended to love children. However much jealous Mu Wensheng was of Jing Tianyuan, he was still happy for his old friend.

The situation of Family Jing was less optimistic than that of Family Mu. Without Mu Qing, there were other grandsons who could father offspring to pass down the bloodline in Family Mu. But Jing Yichen was the only one in Family Jing.

When Jing Yichen was not married, Jing Tianyuan had actually been much more worried than he was now.

Mu Wensheng brought some herbs and made them into the portion suitable for the infants and gave them to Jing Tianyuan.

The main function of the portion was to enhance the child’s immune system and the development of bones. Mu Wensheng didn’t think, however, that the powerful gene of Family Jing would need any help in boosting intelligence.

Jing Yichen took Shangguan Ning to Grandpa Mu’s home again and was assured when he saw Jing Tianyuan, who was obviously quite lively.

The old lord was leading a good life here. Although he argued with Grandpa Mu, he looked much better compared to the time when he was living in his own house.

Mo Lan didn’t care about affairs at home, either. She visited Jing Yiran every day, fearing that her precious grandson would suffer somehow. She didn’t find it any weird no matter what position her grandson had taken up at any company. In her eyes, her grandson had become more excellent than before.

For her, it was great that he had become the deputy president of Family Ji’s Enterprise and it would be even better if Jing Yiran could take over the enterprise as well. This way, neither Jing Tianyuan nor Jing Zhongxiu would complain.

Time glided by and soon the year came to the end.

Jing Yichen and Ji Bo had been in a battle against each other for a long time and it was getting increasingly fierce.

Jingsheng Enterprise might have been affected by Ji Bo’s participation as a shareholder, but Family Ji had received unprecedented blow in every aspect.
