Chapter 518 - A Steady Life

Jing Yichen did not care much about Ji’s Enterprise’s shares, and he did not have much use for them. He did not lack money, nor did he need to control Family Ji anymore because Ji Bo had sought refuge with him, already. Running Jingsheng Enterprise kept Jing Yichen extremely busy and he had no time to care about Ji Enterprise.

What was more, since Ji Bo gave 20% of Jingsheng Enterprise’s shares back to him without any condition, he was not reluctant to give his shares back to him, either.

Family Ji had been going through a terrible time in the past half year. It would take a long time for the company to become as top notch as before. So, Family Ji had lost the ability to fight against Jingsheng Enterprise, leaving them as the only big enterprise in A City.

The shares were regained, but the declaration had disappeared with Yang Muyan.

Jing Yichen thought that Jing Yiran must have given the declaration to Yang Muyan on purpose because with both shares and declaration in his hands, the risk would have been higher. If Yang Muyan had the declaration, then it would be very unlikely that the Jing Family would gain back the declaration.

But the declaration did not matter that much to Jing Yichen. As long as the shares were returned, everything was settled.

His life gradually turned steady as before. He went to work at 9 in the morning and dealt with the affairs of the company. Then he returned home at 6 in the evening. When he was not tied up with too much work, he would return home at lunchtime and deal with the business from home, making more time to keep his wife and son company.

Apart from Sister Lan and Sister Fang who worked as the servants, a nanny was specially hired to take care of the baby. The nanny was chosen by Huang Lihan and Jing Zhongxiu. She was quiet, introverted, and patient. Most importantly, she adored the boy very much. She had been taking great care of Jing Rui.

Zhao Zhao did not visit them so often anymore. She was assured that both Shangguan Ning and Jing Rui were fine and spent most of her time educating her unruly daughter.

Jing Yichen had not gone to office on the weekend, and was dressed in a white casual outfit, making him look as handsome as ever.

He held Jing Rui in his arms and had given a break to the nanny.

Shangguan Ning was sorting out Jing Rui’s clothes when she saw Jing Yichen playing with Jing Rui in his arms and talking with him seriously. She could not help but smile.

“Ning, don’t you finish the first-month resting period in two days? Sister Lan could take care of this stuff. You should get back to the bed.”

Jing Yichen had Jing Rui in his arms and came to Shangguan Ning as he said so gently.

Shangguan Ning burst into laughter. “I am not that delicate. Moving around is good for health. I can’t keep lying down, it is bad for my body.”

Jing Yichen did not insist. Shangguan Ning was not a stubborn person and it was truly good for her to get off the bed and walk around. As long as she was not overly exhausted, it was fine.

Shangguan Ning had gained some weight during these days, and even her chin turned a bit chubby. But it made her look prettier. She used to be too skinny earlier.

Her skin was white and slightly flushed. Also, because of the milk, her breasts had turned plumper than before. She had to feed the baby every now and then, and she wore no bra at home, for convenience. As the plump breasts dangled under the top, Jing Yichen felt excited at the sight in front of him.

Jing Yichen put his son on the bed, and swept his wife into his arms.

Shangguan Ning was not sure about what he intended to do. Startled, she noticed Jing Yichen staring at her with love in his eyes. She showed a bright smile and planted a kiss on his cheek.

Jing Yichen’s arms tightened around her when he saw Shangguan Ning’s red lips, and said in a low voice, “When can we do that again?”

Shangguan Ning knew what he was asking about. She flushed and glared back at him. She said sinisterly, “Half a year later.”

Jing Yichen knew that she was teasing him. He put on a pretentiously confused expression and said, “Oh, why did Mu Qing tell me that one month would suffice for recovery?”

Shangguan Ning pinched Jing Yichen’s waist bashfully as she said, “Why did you talk with Mu Qing about it, even if he is a doctor. Also, one month won’t be enough. At least two to three months. Stop teasing me!”

Jing Yichen laughed when he saw her turning embarrassed. He rubbed his nose against her beautiful nose and said, “Silly girl, why will I ask Mu Qing about it? I was teasing you. How can you get fooled so easily?! You haven’t progressed much even after becoming a mother. Why are you feeling so shy? I haven’t touched you for two months, don’t you want me?”

His voice turned seductive.

Without saying a word, she leaned forward and bit hard upon Jing Yichen’s shoulders and laughed proudly when she heard him letting out a painful sigh. In order to stop Jing Yichen from taking revenge on her, she ran to Jing Rui and took the finger-sucking baby into her arms.

“You can’t do anything to me. I have a secret weapon!”

Jing Rui must have been enjoying sucking his finger when he was suddenly picked up by his mother. He smiled at this woman he knew so well and showed his rosy gums.

Shangguan Ning laughed too. “See, my son is on my side. He will bully you for me.”

Jing Yichen shook his head, walked forward and picked up both his son and wife, making Shangguan Ning let out a cry of surprise.

“Sure, you guys can bully me as much as you want. This is my life now.”

Jing Yichen put Shangguan Ning back on bed, took Jing Rui from her arms, placed him on the bed and turned helpless when he saw Shangguan Ning staring at him with a warning look.

“Am I that narrow-minded? Do I need to bite back when a puppy bites me?”

Shangguan Ning was just feeling relieved when she heard Jing Yichen continuing calmly. “You think too little of your husband, I need to take two bites!”

Saying so, he threw himself at Shangguan Ning.

Shangguan Ning kept dodging in the beginning but gave up soon. Instead, she threw herself at Jing Yichen, making him almost lose his control.

Jing Yichen knew that it was not time yet. He truly should not touch Shangguan Ning after she just gave birth to a child.

He bit Shangguan Ning’s red lips as he said in a low voice, “We will have no more children after this boy. I need you to pay back all that you owe me.”

Shangguan Ning laughed. “No, I will give birth to more babies so that you can not do anything bad to me.”

“Oh, you want to have more babies with me, then I will have to make this promise to you. Have as many babies as you want, I can afford all of them!”

Shangguan Ning was dumbfounded. She realised that she had fallen into the trap laid by Jing Yichen!
