Chapter 556 - Shangguan Ning, the Chief Director

A handsome man and a charming lady were sitting opposite each other on the white sofa by the window, as the sunshine splashed upon them. Their fingers were interlinked, and they were kissing passionately.

That was, of course, what Zhao Anan was imagining.

In reality, they had held hands for a short moment and when Mi Xiaoxiao kissed Mu Qing, she was just being polite. She had even been worried that Mu Qing was taking advantage of her as well.

But Zhao Anan’s imagination was running wild. She kept tossing back and forth on the bed and thought that those two might be having a great time in a luxurious suite of a five-star hotel!

She got so jealous that she wanted to get them thrown out of the hotel.

Then she would tell that foxy lady that this man was hers, not anyone else’s!

But she did not know where they were staying and even if she did, she could not possibly go there to catch them.

She was not in a position to do so.

“Oh man, I am being driven mad by you guys. What should I do?!”

Zhao Anan kept screaming in her bedroom, making Aunt Qian check on her again and again.

“No!!! I must get Mu Qing back! He is mine! Mine!!!”

“No, forget about it. I have broken up with him and grandmother has even apologized to the Mu Family! I must not hold him back…”

“Mu Qing, you bastard! Why are you not here looking for me? Why must you get on a blind date with that foxy lady? I will cut you into pieces.”

Zhao Anan kept mumbling in the bedroom. Sometimes she laughed, sometimes she cried, sometimes she cursed and sometimes she blamed herself. Aunt Qian who was hiding behind the door, got so confused when she heard all that.

Zhao Anan might have been taken for a mentally-disturbed person by an outsider.

“No, that foxy lady looked like a bad person. I will stalk her and get proof that she is a terrible person. Then I will throw that evidence on Mu Qing’s face and tell him not to marry that woman in case his life is ruined, even though I can’t marry him!”

Zhao Anan mumbled for a long time before finally finding a good excuse to make herself fall asleep.

It was a lively scene at Shangguan Ning’s home at Landscape Compound.

The Old Lady of the Zhao Family, Zhao Zhao, Zheng Jing, Zheng Lun and Mu Qing as well as Jing Yichen who was playing with Jing Rui were all there.

Shangguan Ning was very happy that so many people were at her apartment, but Jing Yichen was not.

He did not like it when there were so many people around them, taking up Shangguan Ning’s time.

It was good that his son liked being hugged by him and beamed at him every now and then, keeping Jing Yichen cheerful.

It was all Zhao Anan’s fault who had caused trouble for everyone. Shangguan Ning was so devoted to her that she was spending more time on her than on Jing Rui right now.

Apart from Jing Yichen who was looking cold, Zheng Jing and Mu Qing looked unhappy as well.

Only Shangguan Ning was very excited, because everything was happening as she wanted. She knew Zhao Anan way too well, and had been making this plan since the time when Zhao Anan went missing. She had taken all possibilities into consideration, and was just waiting for Zhao Anan to fall into the trap.

The Old Lady and Zhao Zhao were with Shangguan Ning, fully. They knew Zhao Anan’s personality and believed that if she was not forced, she would not bend.

The old lady was worried about just one thing. “Ning, the girl who went on the blind date with Mu Qing… does she have a boyfriend already?”

Shangguan Ning understood instantly what she was worried about, so she replied with a smile, “Grandmother, don’t worry, she has already got a boyfriend. She is my good friend and I know her personality. She knows how to play it well, or I would not have asked her for help. Also, she has received such a precious gift from you. She would not dare to think about anything else.”

The ladies had given such an expensive gift on purpose to make sure that the girl would be satisfied, in case she fell for Mu Qing. Mu Qing was a very popular bachelor in A City with good looks, impressive background and mild temper. It was very normal that he was liked by many girls.

They did not know Mi Xiaoxiao, and feared that if the plan backfired, making Mi Xiaoxiao and Mu Qing come together instead, then they would have nowhere left to shed their tears.

But they felt assured after hearing Shangguan Ning’s promise.

Mu Qing smiled bitterly.

Even if Mi Xiaoxiao had feelings for him, he would never have any feelings for her. How little did they trust him that they were worried about this issue?

Zhao Zhao knew that she was worried, so she consoled her with a smile, “Don’t worry, that girl is very broad-minded. She may be furious for a moment but she still eats and sleeps well. I just need to make sure that she won’t get so angry that she burns the house down!”

After the mother and the daughter left, Mu Qing came to Shangguan Ning and said with a smile, “Sister-in-law, can I talk with you for a second?”

Shangguan Ning knew that he was feeling unsure again.
