Pleased, Zhao Anan said happily, “Did you know that these days, I get up very early and sleep really late? I have been so occupied! But I have learnt a great deal, and the assistant which my cousin gave me, is so talented. He knows everything and everybody. With his help, I end up making almost no mistakes!”

Shangguan Ning encouraged her. “Yes, you have done well till now and you will do even better with the passage of time. Everything starts with difficulty yet it will turn better when you are used to it.”

Zhao Anan, who had been cautiously optimistic, was not so glad this time. She said worriedly, “I don’t think so! Being a principal is such a tiring job. Now I understand why most principals and directors are bald. They are simply too tired. That Min is becoming fatter and his head has started to grow hair now that he is off the position. Do you think that I will become bald as well, if I continue to be the principal for two more years? How scary!”

Shangguan Ning was just imagining how Zhao Anan would look with a bald head and she burst into laughter.

Seeing her best friend laughing at her, Zhao Anan looked at her fiercely. “Stop laughing! If I ever turn bald, I will also make you go bald!”

Zhao Anan had been complaining about school life, but Shangguan Ning could tell that she was doing well.

The school had many students and as a principal, she needed to take on many responsibilities. And that was a pressure she had never felt before but it was helping her to mature fast.

She had never done any long lasting tasks until now.

Zhao Zhao and the Old Lady of the Zhao Family had always thought that Zhao Anan would never take any responsibilities, and hence, they didn’t train her to take up a high position. They simply allowed Zhao Anan to do something inconsequential, so that even if she made a mistake or gave up on something, there would not be any serious consequences.

Even she had not dared to make her a principal. What if the school was ruined? The children’s future would be ruined too, despite whatever money they offered as compensation later.

Only Jing Yichen did not care about it. Even if Zhao Anan tore down the school, he would still stay calm and unemotional.

Shangguan Ning and Zhao Anan were babbling in the bedroom while Jing Yichen fed Jing Rui the milk bottle, put him to sleep and then went to his study to deal with office matters.

He also demanded that scholarship be established at University of X so that all the poor students could be exempted from tuition fees and enter there. Any excellent student could get a scholarship and be provided with the chance to study abroad.

Jing Yichen had put his focus on school this year for the sake of Zhao Anan.

Many poor children studied harder than rich kids. They had excellent grades although they might not have a wide horizon. If more diligent students could appear at University of X, then the level of the school would rise, and Zhao Anan, as the principal would also gain enough fame.

But Ji’s Enterprise had lost a large number of talented employees and clients and that was a kind of loss which could not be made up within a short period of time.

Ji Bo would have become very annoyed in the olden days, and he would have tried hard to raise Ji’s Enterprise’s speed of improvement. But now, he was not that ambitious and had no plans to exceed Jingsheng Enterprise.

He understood the distance between himself and Jing Yichen, clearly. It was all due to Jing Yichen’s effort that The Ji Family was recovering well at the moment.
