Nataya was sitting on his throne with indifferent look on his face. His majestic horns were pitch black, emitting dark mist around them. His red eyes scanned the room where his underlings were bowing down to him in reverence. Among them, there were four proud generals who looked physically terrifying and intimidating. The four of them were kneeling in the front line, with their heads lowered.
Even so, one couldn't help but notice the trembling from these proud generals and those thousands of underlings.
"My King, what possibly could be the cause of your rage? Please, just give us an order and we will do it to our best." One of the Generals tried to voice out his mind.
Nataya blinked slowly. His red eyes emitted dangerous feeling which could make one's stomach tightened up in nervousness. Even if those Generals were the best of the best, they still couldn't take the pressure came from their King.
After all, Nataya was a legendary figure in Astral World.
"Who ordered you to attack the borderline in South?" Nataya asked in an unhurried tone.
The eyes of his underlings flashed in fear as tremendous amount of pressure hit them like block of stones, crushing their bodies bit by bit.
"M-My King, pardon us. It is near that time. Some of our men lost control of themselves and ended up attacking the border." The General who had red fur and whose eyes like crow's explained in fear.
"Hm?" Nataya tilted his head aside as he gazed at that General with cold eyes. He knew that South was the domain of this General.
This red general of him was known as the most cunning General, specialized in manipulating people's greed and blood l.u.s.t. Whenever there was a fight related to wealth and it would lead to bloodshed, it must be his doing.
"Red, are you sure it was coincidence?" Nataya asked again.
The General who was called as Red lowered his head even more and his body trembled even more. Their King rarely came back and took care of his Kingdom. Why should he return now and question about the attack in the borderline? Red really didn't know why his King would be so angry that he looked like he wanted to kill him.
Yes, I did order my men to attack the border, so what? Who would blame me? After all, it is that time where the borderline will be weakened to the point some spots in the human realm will be exposed to Astral World and probably emerged as one. Why couldn't I mark my territory? How many years had it been since the last time I tried to conquer human world?
Red complained in his heart, but his face didn't show anything on it.
"My King, is there any reason why we can't attack human world in this special time? Even though one millennium is not a long time for us, since that human had died, we haven't had time to expand our territory in the human world. This is our chance to make human revere us." A coquettish voice was heard from the General who had slim and curvy body.
It looked like this General was a woman, but in reality, it could be either one of them. When it chose to appear as a woman, it could be as gorgeous as it could be. If it chose to appear as a man, it could be as handsome as it could be. Its main power was to manipulate people's l.u.s.t, through dream or even in daily life. Even just a tiny spark of l.u.s.t could invite it and it would be responsible to make it bigger, regardless of the gender.
Nataya's beautiful eyebrows arched as he heard his General mentioned about 'that human'. He knew perfectly well who it was talking about.
It was his darling, Ajeng. The First Master of White Army.
Back then, Ajeng had led the armies and the other Masters to take care of the stubborn devils. She had successfully incited fear in the heart of these so-called devils. Even without his help, her own power had left a permanent impact on the devils who tried to dominate the world and enslave humans.
The vivid image of a sea of red flame resembling hell was haunting the mind of those devils. Even after she had passed away, those devils still took thousands of years to recover from their fear.
It seemed like they had recovered much that they even thought of attacking human again. They must have not heard about the presence of the newest Master of First Army.
That girl, even though she wasn't as strong as Ajeng, was still so strong. Nataya chuckled when he remembered the way that girl looked at him.
They were very different. But, he knew this girl had vast potential within her. Give her time and she would surpass the first master, he knew it.
Only within a year, she had improved from nobody into a terrifying existence in Astral World. However, why didn't his underlings hear anything about her? Or was it that they underestimated her?
"Have you heard about the new master of White Army?" Nataya decided to ask them, just in case their ignorance caused them death.
"That little girl? Sure, we heard about her. What are you asking about her, My King?" Red asked in confusion. They didn't know that their King was the one who trained the First Master. If they had known about it, they would not dare to provoke her back then.
Nataya chuckled. "Nothing. I just want to warn you, don't provoke her."
All the devils present exchanged looks and there was a hint of laughter in their eyes. However, since it was their King who said it, they would keep it inside no matter how hard it was.
But, as their King, how could Nataya not know what they were thinking about. He was just hoping they would heed his warning and not cause much trouble later on. If they provoked her, he wouldn't be able to save them.
"Don't attack the border and don't provoke the new Master. Just remember it." He repeated his warning. After saying that, he waved his hands, signaling them to leave him.
Those hundreds of underlings rose to their feet and walked out the enormous hall after giving him big salute.
Nataya pinched the bridge of his nose and the mist rose and surrounded him. When it dissipated, a handsome man in black was sitting on the throne regally. His black hair further accentuated the dangerous feeling when he opened his eyes.
"Ajeng." He murmured under his breath. Pain flashed in his eyes as he remembered the last time he saw his sweetheart. He frowned slightly and the pain changed into rage. However, split second later, his expression grew solemn.
"For your sake, I won't harm those humans. I've promised you, and I'm going to keep my promise." He whispered through his gritted teeth.
There was rumble everywhere as dark aura emitted from his body grew stronger and stronger. Outside the hall were the surprised underlings who were staring at it with a big question in their heads. It was rare to see their King to be in rage that his surroundings would show a sign of collapsing.
Who would dare enough to provoke their King?
Who would be so stupid to do so? If it was a human, then it could mean feast for the devils. But, if it was a devil, it could only mean the other devil was so strong and it would lead to a war between their kinds.
Since their King didn't say anything about it, they would just keep quiet and wait for it.
The rumbling finally stopped after a streak of black shadow went out from the top of the hall and disappeared in the distance. Anyone could guess that it was their King, Nataya.
Nataya planned to stay and monitor his kingdom for a while longer, actually. However, because of there was a big fluctuation of familiar power, he decided to check it out, just in case that foolish young girl got herself into a trouble she couldn't solve.
It didn't take a long time for him to reach that place. Right in the outer side of Astral World, he saw that girl was attacking a human with no expression on her face. All of her attacks were consuming large portion of her spiritual power, but she didn't looked exhausted in a bit.
Nataya's eyes flickered as it reflected the blue light from the fire. He was observing her attacks and from his point of view, he must admit that her attacks were beautiful. She didn't shoot carelessly. Every shoot she made was well thought. She knew what she did!
In just a matter of days, she had improved leaps and bounds again. She surprised him with how fast she could advance.
Nataya had even wondered whether she was really human. No matter how heaven-defying Ajeng was, she still took years to get to Jane's level and it was with Nataya as her mentor.
But the young girl in front of him had been this good with only some pointers from him and a human soul as her mentor. How good was her perception to be able to lift her into this level?
A wide smile spread on his face with his eyes gleaming excitedly. His fingers twitched in excitement, itching to have a good fight with this girl. A familiar sense when he sparred with Ajeng rushed back into his mind, and with that thought in mind, he dove down towards Jane and her friends with his claws aimed at her. This time, he didn't even play around like his previous visit to her.
