Chapter 104 - His Fury

Being choked and deprived of oxygen, Pei Xinru stared in shock at Alexander. She struggled to pry open his hand that was on her neck but he was too strong for her.

"B-brother A-Alexander… Ugh..." Pei Xinru tried to say something more than just call Alexander but the latter put more strength in his hand, stopping her from uttering a word.​​

"Say it again," Alexander ordered but with his cold tone, Pei Xinru couldn't open her mouth. His eyes were flashing with his ire and wished he could rip her mouth.

Fear started to boil inside her stomach as tears fell on her cheeks. She knew that Alexander was a frightening man. More frightening than her father but because she was in love with him, she forgot that fact because of her beliefs and imagination.

With her imagination's help, she thought that with her, Alexander will change like those cold and ruthless male leads in a novel or kdrama. He will end up loving her and opening up to her.

She did everything to make that happen. And to be sure that no one can take that place beside him, she ordered her father's men to kill anyone who tried to get near Alexander.

Piles of crumpled bodies lay behind her as she tried to keep up her innocent look in front of Alexander.

Unfortunately, the man who was supposed to love her back and notice her effort didn't even look at her way as he found someone else.

How can she let this be?! Pei Xinru felt bitterness in her heart but at this moment, she can't really focus when her windpipe was tightly squeezed inside Alexander's hand.

Alexander felt disgusted just by touching this woman's neck and wanted to snap it. He tried to control over his demons over and over again, and let his wife take care of this matter, and honestly, he felt proud seeing that she did do it.

As much as she wanted to teach Pei Xinru a lesson, her death isn't the answer to this. Besides, she was afraid that Alexander would lose himself as she could sense it from the way his eyes looked at her.

"I said, stop it and let go of her." She repeated but Alexander didn't let go. "Alexander, if you kill her. I will leave you here." She told him to which made Alexander slightly loosen his hand around Pei Xinru's neck.

"Alright." Alexander let his hand go of Pei Xinru's neck and stepped backward to Yan Xiaoran. He never showed any restraints with his intention to kill but with Yan Xiaoran's threat, he decided to obey her.

Yan Xiaoran sighed in relief and looked at Pei Xinru whose face was white as a ghost and her eyes bloodshot.

Pei Xinru was pulled by her friends towards the back after Yan Xiaoran signaled Lu Jieyou to take her back before Alexander would flip.

Yan Xiaoran had never seen this side of him and was unsure what to do. She'd be lying if she said she wasn't afraid but her fear was leaning more towards the fact that Alexander would turn into a mindless killer.

She would be a fool if she didn't notice that what fueled his anger was what Pei Xinru said.

Alexander is a possessive fool that was madly in love with her, she doubted that a simple threat wouldn't make him flip his switch.

He already warned her about what she might see and notice the difference between his actions and behavior from when they first met but was it enough for her to hate him?

Soon, the body of Luciano was covered with the table cloth and taken somewhere else. As for the man who betrayed Alexander and worked or Luciano to kill him, he was screaming for help but no one dared to as the guests who witnessed tonight's events tucked their tails between their legs.
