Chapter 110 - To Collect Two Billion Dollars

All in all, the Zhao Enterprise was worth almost eight hundred million dollars. Zhao Shuxin and her father own two hundred million dollars if they combined their shares while the different shareholders own shares at the worth of more than fifty million dollars.

Because of the crisis two years ago, the Zhao family sold thirty-eight percent of shares to the savior of their company and became the biggest shareholder. They were desperate at that time and didn't care whether someone else who wasn't a 'Zhao' could get the largest shares in the company for as long as the glory of Zhao Enterprise could continue.​​

What Yan Xiaoran said to her wasn't a lie. Unless Zhao Shuxin and her father combine their shares, they could match the shares that Yan Xiaoran has in her hand.

Unfortunately, the father-daughter pair didn't want to relinquish their shares to the other. Zhao Shuxin could ask her father to transfer his shares to her but the keyword here was 'ask'.

Knowing her father, Zhao Shuxin could already see him shouting at her and telling her to fix this problem as soon as possible. He hated Yan Xiaoran in the past and if he finds out that the person who saved their company and became the biggest shareholder in the company, he'll surely force Zhao Shuxin to give up her shares to him and punish her.

But how could Zhao Shuxin do that? She worked her ȧss off to get where she was now. If she gives up her shares to her father, won't that make her the loser between her and Yan Xiaoran? Another, if she ended up losing her position and shares, what will her husband tell her?

Lou Jin has been grumpy and treating her coldly nowadays. If he got the wind that she relinquished her shares to her father, he will certainly ask for a divorce!

Zhao Shuxin started to panic. She can give up her shares but she can never give up Lou Jin!

Raising her head to look at Yan Xiaoran, Zhao Shuxin took out her checkbook.

Oh? Is she planning to pay her now? Yan Xiaoran raised her eyebrows at the sight of Zhao Shuxin taking her checkbook out from her bag. She leaned forward to her desk and put her elbow on top of it before letting her chin rest on the back of her hands.

Yan Xiaoran was amused at what Zhao Shuxin was doing. At least, she's starting to have fun now.

Zhao Shuxin wrote a few numbers in the cheque and signed it. She slapped the paper on the desk where Yan Xiaoran was seated behind it.

"Here! A hundred million dollars." Zhao Shuxin felt her hesitations when she wrote the numbers on the cheque. The money that she was about to use was the money from the company. She shouldn't be doing this since it's not entirely her money but Zhao Shuxin refused to let Yan Xiaoran know that she didn't have enough money.

Anyway, she doubted that Yan Xiaoran knew that she was using the company's money.

"Miss Zhao. Are you suffering from a short term hearing loss? I just said a few seconds ago that it's two hundred million dollars. Not one hundred." Yan Xiaoran told her patiently.

"Yan Xiaoran! don't be shameless! A hundred million should be enough for you!"

Yan Xiaoran instantly laughed at her words. "My mistake. I think it's not a short term. You're absolutely suffering from a long term hearing loss and maybe, even suffering from a stage five Alzheimer's disease."

Not waiting for Zhao Shuxin to scream once again, Yan Xiaoran calmly said, "Cease your screaming. You're not a duck, are you? Two hundred million dollars. Deal or no deal."

"No deal!" Zhao Shuxin instantly said to Yam Xiaoran's surprise. Two hundred million? How can she give such a huge amount of money to this shameless woman? She was an outsider and didn't have any right to keep the shares anyway.

Besides, the shares were hers originally! A hundred million dollars is enough for Yan Xiaoran who was looking after the shares that Zhao Shuxin let her look after.

The Zhao family initially wanted to buy some of the shares that they sold to Madam X. However, they didn't get any response from Madam X. This was also one of the reasons why Zhao Shuxin and Yu Jinyan came to London.

"Alright." Yan Xiaoran shrugged. "The door is right behind you. You can leave." She dismissed Zhao Shuxin and started to casually look at the files on the table. She was completely ignoring Zhao Shuxin's presence.

Biting her lips, Zhao Shuxin, "Yan Xiaoran. You're really doing this to make me suffer right? Just accept this one hundred million and we're done!"

Zhao Shuxin realized that Yan Xiaoran was doing this to make her suffer. Probably because of what she did to her in the past.

"You guessed right." Yan Xiaoran didn't deny. "I'm doing this to make your sorry ȧss suffer. But what makes you think that a hundred million dollars are enough?"

"A hundred million dollars is enough to feed a small country!" Zhao Shuxin reasoned out.

Yan Xiaoran stood up abruptly and looked straight at Zhao Shuxin's eyes, "You know what. I think you're right. A hundred million dollars sounds too big."

Zhao Shuxin gulped but she was happy that Yan Xiaoran was willing to listen to her and change the price to the shares that she had in her possession.

"So, how about paying a hundred million dollars for the shares…" Yan Xiaoran said and before letting Zhao Shuxin smile any further and speak, she then said, "But not enough to pay for what I have gone through. That is why I am going to collect two billion dollars from all of you as payment for what you did to me."

Yan Xiaoran beamed and continued, "And I want it in cash."
