Chapter 83: Hinata, The Master Of Clones?!

-----

Frank and Matsuo walked towards the Trinket Shop, where Contribution Points could be exchanged for a variety of items. In such a shop, there was also done the exchange of materials, or items of any kind that held some value for Contribution Points, and because it was open for all Clan Members, it was always a place filled with people entering and going out of it.

However, thanks to Matsuo's high rank in the clan, Frank was allowed to skip the waiting lines and go directly towards the front, where a cute young woman attended, Hinata.

"Ah, but if it isn't Frank-kun and Matsuo-kun again!" she said, with a welcome smile.

"Hinata-san, tell me the truth," said Frank.

"…Huh?"

"Are you a clone user?" asked Frank, with a very serious tone.

"Oh! So you discovered my secret! Fufufu! That is right! I have specialized towards the path of the Light Clone Spell! To the point that I can create many clones and control them all at the same time, they last like most of the day… I don't even need to come out of my house!" laughed Hinata.

"Hinata-san is known within the Clan for being a lazy woman as well. But she is quite old, so no one criticizes her for that," said Matsuo with a bitter smile.

"Eh? Is that so?" asked Frank.

"Old woman?! Don't you see me? I am a beautiful young lady!" said Hinata, spinning around with her body.

"That's what she wants you to believe… She is an old grandma. Her Clones look like her when she was younger though," said Matsuo.

"Oh? So she can shape the appearance of her clones? That's quite the advanced move," said Frank.

"W-What?! Matsuo, stop saying such lies!" said Hinata.

"Hahaha, sorry, sorry, I didn't intend to enrage my senior here…" laughed Matsuo.

"Hmm, you damn brat…" said Hinata.

"Ah, I had just asked because I decided to learn the Light Clone Spell as well, Hinata-san… As you're a strong specialist of it, I am striving to reach what you've reached," said Frank.

"Oh? Interesting… It is quite an advanced Spell, you got it through the Elder's Gift? Lucky you… Hmm, it is very easy to use, so I guess you don't need tutoring or anything? And well, it is not like you would be able to afford me!" laughed Hinata.

"Ah, well, I guess… But I would like one day for you to show me some of your abilities using Clones, so I can get an idea of how to develop them… Could it be possible?" said Frank.

"Sigh… I really have a soft spot for pretty young boys… Fine. We can do this around the week, though you'll have to come to pick me up," said Hinata.

"Thanks a lot, senior," said Frank while bowing his head.

"Hah, don't worry, don't worry, but that's a favor that you'll have to pay one-day ~," said Hinata with a mischievous tone.

"I-I see… (For a moment, I believe that this might not be the best of ideas…)" said Frank as he felt an ominous feeling.

"See? Your senior is quite nice, isn't she? Just like an adorable grandma…" said Matsuo.

"Cut it off! I am not a grandma! I do not even have children! And my main body does not even have wrinkles! Don't call me old!" said Hinata, barking like a mad dog, although very cute due to being small, maybe resemble a chihuahua than anything.

Frank began to genuinely wonder how did Hinata's real body truly look like… Matsuo said she was an old grandma, but Hinata keeps saying that it is not true and that she does not even have wrinkles…

Anyways, Frank had come to exchange some Points," said Matsuo.

"I see, I see… What do you have in mind, Frank-kun? Ah, there are those discounted Books that I offered you, the ones you did not buy are still at discount just for you! Do you still want them?" asked Hinata.

"Oh, I feel like there were a few useful ones there… Sure, can I see them?" asked Frank.

"Sure, sure, come with me, you two~," said Hinata, as she invited Frank and Matsuo to walk inside of the storage of the shop.

As they reached the place where Frank bought the books, the three books that he had not picked were lying there, still waiting for him.

"I assumed you might want to buy them later, but never thought that you would come with so many Contribution Points just the day after… Anyways, here they are, are they still appealing to you?" asked Hinata.

The books on the desk were the Lesser Self-Regeneration Spell Book, the Light Ray Spell Book, and the Basic Magic Martial Arts Spell Book. Each book had a little picture on its cover that showed what they were about.

"Each one is 8.000 Contribution Points, but I can give you the three for only 20.000! How's that discount?" asked Hinata with a checky smile.

Frank rubbed his chin as he activated his thinking Skills, beginning to ponder the decision.

"These Skills are rather good, even if I could purchase stronger versions, I bet the cost would be way higher, and it would be more recommended for me to begin with these newbie Skills, as my ability to acquire them as Skills and not learn them naturally as Spells make it so I can level them up with ease. I am fairly sure that if I level them enough, they will most likely 'awaken' or 'evolve' in some way. Also, if I get used to the lowest grade of these categories, then learning the higher grades will become easier later on…" thought Frank, considering many new types of knowledge that he had acquired from Matsuo and also from Ami back in the Library.

Although Frank was able to learn Skills simultaneously, it didn't mean that he would be able to wield their powers straight away. This was a law that applied to everyone, even to him.

In this world, everyone needed to first pick up a specific Spell or Technique of lower grade, and then slowly develop it, learning more spells or techniques compatible with it as they progress.

This also applied to Frank, even with his amazing power of learning any Spell or Technique Book as a Skill, although he had recently discovered that there were certain Books or Scrolls with state requirements, similar to equipment, which he had found out in the Library.

Some Spells required him to have over 1.000 Magic and Mana, and other Techniques required him to have over 3.000 HP and 1.000 Strength… It was all quite ridiculous, but thanks to this, Frank was able to easily discard what he could not learn, finding the Clone Skill after a bit.

These Spells and Techniques in front of him seemed to have slight requirements, but he had already fulfilled them, and they were ready to be learned and trained by him. And now, with his Clone, he was even more confident in being able to quickly level up Skills.

"Alright, I'll take them. They will be all useful on their own regards," said Frank.

"Good choice! Fufu~ Now, here we go," said Hinata, waving her hands as she quickly and easily discounted -20.000 Contribution Points from Frank's 'wallet'.

Ding!

[You have exchanged 20.000 Contribution Points!]

Saving his Spells and Technique Books to learn later on his Inventory, Frank and Matsuo were led to another area of the storage for more items or Skills to exchange.
