Chapter 445 - A big and warm family 5

Grandpa was enjoying so much that he didn't bother himself with the killing gazes from his grandsons. They are worried about all the oily food he is eating.

After having a delicious lunch, Kokila wanted to have a nap and so did Elder Malhotra. The youngsters wanted to go explore the farms and the beauty of the place.

They decided to go in pairs to enjoy their private space. Barun went in the direction of the small forest that is deep inside the farms as he wanted to have some peace of mind.

He sat below the tree which is by the waterfall. So many things are going in his brain and it was a complete mess. So many memories rushed to his brain. He leaned against the tree trunk and was immersed in his train of thoughts.

Flash back

A small boy of six was hiding under the bed and he closed his ears with his hands tightly and his eyes were shut and was weeping silently.

He didn't know how long he stayed there but he didn't dare to come out. His parents always fought and for the last few days they were at their peaks in fighting and he couldn't take it.

His brother was at his uncle's place. He had no idea why his parents were fighting. His parents never cared about him not his brothers, he spent most of his time with his nanny and even she was fired a few days ago.

He felt all alone and lost in that big palace. Then he felt a warm hand on his shoulder and the hand soothed him gently. He opened his eyes and saw his brother whi was staring at him with pity and sorrow.

Kunal heard the silent weeps and he bent down and saw his little brother. The little boy's eyes glittered as if he has seen his saviour.

Kunal pulled him out gently and hugged him. Barun burst into tears in his brother's warm embrace. It is the embrace he longed for so much and for so long.

Kunal made the little boy sit on the bed and gave him a glass of water. After he calmed down he gave him a chocolate and said "Take this. It's so sweet".

Barun chewed on it while his brother accompanied him. Barun asked with his cute crispy voice "Bhaisaa, why are our parents shouting at each other, I am so afraid tobe here alone ?"

Kunal didn't know how to explain his little brother as even he didn't know exactly the reason behind it ?

He just smiled and said "It's just a normal fight. They are just talking about something. They will be fine after some time and now i am here and you are not alone".

Barun shook his head saying "No bhaisaa, It's not normal fight. Everyone at home are sad and worried. Maasaa and Papasaa don't even talk to each other and Maassa was always crying."

A cute smile appeared on his face and his dimples are visble. He said "And that little baby, she looks like a pumpkin, all round and red. She is so cute and I wanted to play with her but maasaa and dhadasaa didn't allow me. They warned me not to go anywhere near her and not to talk to her mother either. Why ? Aren't they our guests and we are supposed to respect our guests.

Dhadasaa even told me that the little baby is just dirt and she is a jinx to our family. Will they throw the baby out ? But I like her and want to play with her. She will cry if we do so.

Moreover Dhadasaa was also shouting at dadimaa. Nana and nani also came and also so are our uncles.

Kunal thought for a moment and said "No, she is not bad. She is our little sister and her name is Reshika. As dhadisaa told us children are gifts of God and we have take care of her.

And you don't go anywhere alone. Stay with me in my room from now on and we will always be together. If you are afraid of anything just find me."

He gave an assuring smile and it was what brought Barun out of his loneliness and nigtmares.

Barun stuck to his brother like a chew in gum and Kunal was never bothered with this little brother.

Grandma also heard their discussion and told them that they have to care of their sister. She told them "She is your little sister and you have to protect her for the rest of your lives. You should treat her with respect and love."

Those words were engraved in both the kids hearts and they did their best to follow that. They even stole milk for her from the kitchen when the family tried to starve both the mother and daughter.

They called for their grandma's help when the kid got fever and wasn't privided with any medical assistance.

It was then that grandma decided to move out of that palace but the mother of the kid escaped from there to protect her life first.

When grandpa decided to throw away the baby, grandma left the place with the baby and it was the last time she entered the palace.

She moved to her maternal family which aittked in Mumbai. Her younger brother was close to her and helped her by buying a house for her.

Kunal and Barun likes their grandma very much anf when she moved out they cried their hearts out but couldn't complain.

Kunal was sent to boarding school while Barun satyed back at home. He felt very lonely and it was them he became cold and indifferent. He became distant with everyone and the only time he felt happy is when Kunal visited home during holidays or when he was allowed to some time at his grandma's place.
