The girl behind keeps suggesting to go to the nurse, but a nurse couldn't help this situation better. I have yet even heard any scientist explaining transmigration after death. I tell her I'm fine. And I'm lying as I always have.
She doesn't look so convinced. "that so...then are you ready to go?" the girl says. Behind the glasses pink eyes look at me as she brushes her pulled also-pink hair.
What's with her and pink?
And she's wearing a black coat and white blouse with a tiny necktie--anyone would have known she's a student, but do they allow students with dyed hair now?
The real question is, why am I in a school?
The girl opens the 'reconcile room' door invitingly, "Sunbae?"
Who is Sunbae again? Me? Oh sure.
Going along the river's current reduces conflicts anyway.
So I make no unnecessary scene and go in, ignoring a thousand questions listed on my mind right now.
Here, up the room, a large window sets with elastic-bloody drapes. And along the way, a couple of long ruby chaise lounges are seated between a white long table. However, that's pretty much it. The couch and table only occupied one fifth of the center of the room.
The air-conditioner blows comfort.
On the right side of the couch, there are four girls.
Though I've opened the door loud enough to make my coming noticed. Only one of the girls turns to see me. And her eyes widen as if surprised. And the other three girls are busy doing something else.
The only girl that noticed me had light brown hair pulling only up to her shoulder. I love how her thin bang settled on her tiny forehead. Her eyes are emeralds. Just now it turned away from me. Too bad, I would like to be mesmerized by the clearness and soggy looks as if she was born yesterday. Her shoulder is trembling.
Next to her, the elegant posture girl makes it clear that whatever she's typing on her keyboard is more interesting than her new tutor walking in. Her eyes are sharp--someone probably died from those. And her nimble, cut fingers are dancing on the keyboard.
And a meter from her, is a petite girl with red hair, sitting with her legs in a V shape almost exposing her underwear. Damn it, the skirt's too long here. Anwyay, her face is a console--I mean, the game console is an inch away from her face as if the red and blue rectangle itself is her eyes. Her tiny ears hold a plug of music. Oh, and her hair is spilling on the floor as if it's a dragon's tail.
And the last girl is...dead. Her head and arms hug the table. Oh, her back rose--she's alive. But you can't blame me for misinterpreting that, the way her silver hair buried her head got me thinking she can't breathe inside.
Well, that's four girls. But as of now, there are five girls in the room with me if you count the round spectacled girl behind me. I think I saw her on Instagram yesterday--or not. But she sure looks like the Korean girl I tapped twice on.
Yesterday? Yeah, only if the world I got into now has the same timeline as my old world.
"Sunbae, these are the girls." the Korean girl said behind me.
Sunbae? Now I heard it again--I don't think that's my name but a pronoun. Kinda heard that from a Korean novel.
Unknowingly even to me, I smile at her and walk to the opposite couch from the girls'.
But I have no words. As I also have no clue how to comprehend this abnormal situation. From a little part of the memories I received, these girls supposedly are my students.
Well, not 'mine'.
I don't know about that.
From the same memories, it tells me that the body I inherited now is eligible to be the tutor; as he was the 3rd smartest student in Acadasia. And I'm not. If I pretend to, wouldn't it cause a problem later? I mean before I inherit this body, I was nothing but a -1
Nothing but a...huh.
Weird. It seems I can't remember who I was in my past life.
It could just be that I'm too shocked at the moment. Am I?
"Sunbae? Sunbae..." the Korean girl tugs my sleeve, "why do you stand there just staring blankly? Go on take a seat. Or perhaps you still don't feel well?" She's probably indicating the moment where I seemed to be crouching, groaning, and sweating.
"Nah, I'm okay."
I take a seat.
The cushion feels like a boob.
The CEO girl starts talking as the keyboard's clanking accompanied her voice. "So who's he, Sohee?" Her eyes were still on the screen. Evidently disrespecting me as an older person. Oh well, anger is never my thing but I'm curious what she's working on her laptop with her multitasking skills
The Korean girl replied. It means she's Sohee.
"First, I want you all to stop whatever you're doing and listen..."
Clank. Clank.
Click Click.
Nope, they didn't stop--the CEO girl and the console girl. The other two though, do stop but it doesn't look like what Sohee meant. The brown-haired girl is gripping her hands on her laps, still quivering. And the other technically stops her consciousness.
Sohee sighs.
The brown hair girl slowly lifts her shaky hand, just looking at Sohee. "So, sohee. Is he…"
"Yes, Mei?"
"Is he...go…ng…tu..us."
What?
"What?" Sohee says, "you need to speak up, Mei."
Mei waves her hand at the level of her...ample chest, "it--it's just I have the same que, question as Shi, Shizuka."
The CEO woman smiles, still clanking. "I wish I can high-five you right now but that's not enough to make me stop typing. Well, it's a good thing we're on the same page."
Ah, so she's Shizuka.
Mei nods three times.
Sohee sighs and looks at me expectantly.
Oh, we're doing this telepathic thingy now.
Don't worry, I got this. Let me be relevant in this story, too.
I look at the girls, not one of them has their face on me, and say, "I think I'm going to be your new tutor."
Just as I said, everyone reacts. The clanking stops. The console stops shaking. The quivering froze. And even the dead twitches.
Wait, I didn't say any word linking with stop, did I? I only said 8 or 9 words...unfortunately that's enough to turn the atmosphere worse. Like, what did that? I've never seen my face so probably have to do something with that? Did something stick between my teeth? Or it has something to do with the word 'tutor'.
They didn't expect me?
The console girl takes off her earphones but her console is still on her face. "Tutor? You? Are you sure you're not the observer?"
I look at Sohee who nods, and I shrug. "Guess I am the observer."
"Sunbae!"
Oops, I guess I conveyed a wrong hint.
Sohee clears her throat, "he's the new tutor--well, not yet but after the recognition session."
Recognition session? What's that? Hey, they don't teach kids weird stuff in this world, right?
Shizuka studies me from down to up, "are you even eligible?"
No.
She continues, "you look like a male to me."
Am I? Well not that this body is mine but a few minutes ago. So I make a quick test: I recall a certain blowjob video. If my penis is reacting that means I'm a completely healthy male I feel I was--oh, it grows a little.
I'm happy so I say with a smile, "yes. I have confirmed I am a male."
Shizuka chuckle, "that's not the point."
Mei raises her hand again--it seems her shaking becomes worse, "bububu...but Sohee. I don't think male teachers are allowed to teach m--"
"Sunbae's a tutor, not a teacher, Mei." Sohee interrupted. "and also tutors only be taking three or four hours with you, isn't that right?"
Mei lowers her hand as she sucks her bottom lips.
"Hang in there, Mei." She says affectionately. Sohee adjusts her necktie. "The school agreed to give him a chance. I think they'd like his service anyway. So I'm hoping you guys will cooperate with this."
And from behind the console, the dragon-tailed girl snorts, "I'll not give him this, 'cooperation' you ask." the console's camera glares at me, I could feel the annoyance, "look at him. I don't think he comes here to teach but to fuck us."
"Carrie!" Sohee stresses her word, "we're still in school, you know vulgar words are not allowed. Or do you want to meet the disciplinary teacher again? Two times for this week on the same charge?"
Ah, console girl, Carrie.
Carrie groans and puts back her earphones. Oh, she also put down her legs.
I don't think any of them like me. Well, Carrie is not wrong. At first glance, I seem to appear wanting to fuck them. I mean they were all cute and gorgeous.
Shizuka smiled mischievously as she says slowly, "oh, wait till I'm making a complaint letter to the school."
Sohee raised her thin eyebrows, "really? With your falling grades and low attendance scores, you think they want to hear a student complaining about her own benefits?"
Shizuka shrugs, "I could at least try." her eyes catch me, "I think he's going to be bad for my mental health."
She means like, sex. Right?
Sohee doesn't think so. "Don't be stupid. At least be grateful that the top former student is here to teach you."
I feel bad for Sohee trying to protect my--er the former user of this body's--honor. If you're hoping for the former top student, then I'm sorry that he's gone--not that you would believe if I tell you.. Now you only have me, the man who killed himself not too long ago.
