Chapter 820 - 820

When Yoyo finally got off of the car and the door slammed shut behind the little boy, Cedric turned his attention to his sister.

It seemed Leon also noticed the change in Ayanna's demeanor, because he too turned to where Ayanna had been looking.

Unfortunately by the time Cedric and Leon took a look, whatever had shocked Ayanna was gone.

"Ayanna, are you alright?" Cedric asked as he held his sister's hand. 

He noticed that she was not pale and her jaw slightly dropped.

"Cedric, are you sure that no one knows about this car or that no one knows about Yoyo being in this school?" Ayanna asked as she came back to her senses.

"Yes, I'm sure." Cedric said with a nod as he looked at his sister.

"Is something wrong, Miss Ayanna?" Leon asked.

"Leon, can you have this whole place combed. I swear I saw Lucius Ting standing over there." Ayanna said as she pointed at a tree directly across where they had parked.

Leon nodded and quickly took out his phone, he barked orders, telling his men to search the area.

"What do we tell the school? We sent bodyguards to scour their grounds?" Ayanna said as she realized the impact of her command.

"Dominic is here, I'll talk to Miguel and ask him if we could just say that it was checked for the boy's safety." Cedric told his sister. "I'm sure Miguel won't mind since it will keep his son safe too."

"Cedric, I think we should get out of here." Leon told Cedric who simply nodded and drove the car out of the school parking lot.

"Do we go straight to the Reyes Group?" Ayanna asked her older brother.

"Yeah, we've already prepared for my car and this car to arrive at the same time." Cedric explained. "It will look like we are stepping out of my car especially with the amount of security that will be around." 

"I think I should ask Veronica and Miguel to come over to R Tower." Ayanna said as she took out her phone and searched her contacts. 

"I can just tell Miguel over the phone." Cedric told his sister. 

"Yes, but I miss Veronica and it doesn't rule out the fact that Lucius Ting was spotted in your son's school." Ayanna said in a sassy tone. "It not only puts Yoyo at risk but Dominic too. We both know how much they love that boy."

Cedric simply sighed and nodded, Ayanna was right. This whole issue was not a conversation they could settle over the phone. 

While Cedric drove them to R Tower he could hear as Ayanna told Veronica and Miguel to come over.

He also heard Leon coordinating with his team in the backseat. He was glad that he was the one driving and not Leon, this made things easier for his head of security and bodyguard to coordinate with the staff. 

"They dropped Dominic off at school a few minutes before us." Ayanna told her brother. "They were supposed to go to Veronica's studio, but they've changed routes and are on the way to R Tower too. They should get there right after us."

"Leon, can you update the team? Tell them that Miguel will be joining us." Cedric called out.

"On it." Leon said as he finished his call and called R Tower's security team.

By the time they reached R Tower, Leon told Cedric that the team should be done searching the vicinity of the school by the time they got to Cedric's office.

Cedric simply nodded as he drove into the deserted parking lot.

The security team had cleared it out for them, and as soon as Cedric got out of his car, his Rolls Royce arrived.

"Catch." Cedric said as he tossed a set of keys to one of the bodyguards that got out of his car. "Whoever is picking my son up later, keep an eye out, check if Lucius Ting is hanging out in the area this afternoon." Cedric instructed as he turned and walked towards the elevator.

"What if Lucius wasn't there for Yoyo?" Ayanna asked as she thought carefully about the situation.

"What do you mean?" Cedric asked.

"If no one knows that Yoyo is going to school there, then that only means he could be there for someone else." Ayanna said as she bit the nail on her thumb.

Cedric knew this was a bad habit of his sister's when she was stressing about something and thinking really hard.

He lifted his hand and held her wrist, pushing her arm away from her mouth, making Ayanna realize what she had been doing.

"Thanks, I would have gone down the rabbit hole again." She said with a relieved sigh.

Whenever Ayanna thought too hard about a singular problem they teased her that she was going down the rabbit hole. She would ignore everyone and everything as she focused on that single dilemma.

Sometimes it had good results, it was the very same state she was in when she saved Elisia Malls from a devastating blow in the past.

But it had it's down sides too, there were times where she would focus too much on the details and it would drag her down. She would lose the whole picture and at some points she would even sacrifice her well being.

Now more than ever she needed to take care of herself, especially with the little child growing in her belly.

As they made their way down the CEO's floor to Cedric's office, Leon's phone began to ring.

Cedric nodded at his bodyguard, telling him to go and take the call.

As Leon moved to the side, four other guards showed up to escort Cedric to his office. 

Cedric couldn't help but sigh at how some of the security measures Leon was implementing were too much. They were at the CEO's floor in R Tower, there were only a limited number of places that had the same level of security as this floor. 

"Busy morning?" Ian asked as Cedric and Ayanna arrived.

"I saw Lucius Ting at Yoyo's school today." Ayanna told Ian, shocking the assistant.

"That can't be good." Ian said as he walked into Cedric's office with the siblings.

He was quick to make himself at home as he sat on one of the couches and picked up a tablet he had placed there. 

"No wonder everything has been on high alert the past few minutes." Ian said as he shook his head. "How could Lucius Ting know that Yoyo was going to school there?" He asked Cedric. 

"I doubt he knows that Yoyo is there, if he did then he would have sent someone else." Cedric said with a sigh. 

"Do you think it could be something personal?" Ayanna asked her brother.

"I don't know, but whatever his reasons are we need to find out, and we need to find out as soon as possible." Cedric said as he leaned back on his seat.

The drive to the office had given Cedric time to think, Lucius Ting had many people at his disposal, and like Cedric if something didn't need his personal attention he wouldn't go himself.

If what brought him to Yoyo's school was something close to his heart, Cedric needed to know what it was.. Maybe then they could find a way to topple Lucius Ting and get Camilla out of his reach.
