Chapter 823 - 823

Name:Never Judge Author:
Adrianna sat in her home office, staring at her phone as she waited for it to ring. She and Julia had agreed to call each other every other night right before Adrianna headed to bed.

"Are you alright?" Cedric asked his wife as he brought her a cup of tea.

"Yeah, I'm just waiting for Julia to call." Adrianna said with a smile as Cedric gently placed the cup on her desk.

Adrianna gave Cedric a weak smile as she returned her attention to the phone in front of her.

"She calls you at the same time every other day Adrianna." Cedric said with a sigh as he moved behind her and wrapped his arms around her shoulder. "I'm sure she will call you. Don't worry." Cedric said as he tried his best to comfort his wife.

He felt as Adrianna took a deep breath and sighed. Cedric held her tight for a little while longer, before finally letting her go and pulling a seat to keep her company.

"Where is Yoyo?" Adrianna asked her husband as she gave him a concerned look.

She knew that whenever her husband was home, her son never left his side. He followed his father everywhere, even to the bathroom at times.

"Spending time with his auntie Ayanna and uncle Ray." Cedric said with a grin.

"That's good. I know Ayanna has been feeling the baby blues recently, maybe spending time with Yoyo will make her feel better." Adrianna told her husband as she shifted glances between him and her phone.

"You know, that thing makes a ringing sound whenever someone calls." Cedric teased.

Adrianna was so annoyed with him that she slapped him on the chest, making Cedric laugh even louder as he enjoyed their banter.

Suddenly Cedric's expression turned serious as he caught Adrianna's wrist.

"What's wrong?" She asked her husband as she cocked her head to the side.

"Adri, there is something I forgot to tell you, and you aren't allowed to get mad." Cedric said with a frown.

"What is it?" Adrianna asked. "Is it bad?"

"No." Cedric said with a small smile. "But me forgetting to tell you will make you very mad."

"I doubt I will be as mad as you think." Adrianna told her husband. "Out with it." She commanded him.

Cedric smiled and shook his head.

"Ayanna is pregnant." He announced as he caressed his wife's hand.

"What?!" Adrianna said in a tone that was a mix of shock and happiness. "How long have you known? How long has she been pregnant? Was she pregnant during the attack? Who else knows? Is this why you invited everyone over and why she and Ray are moving in?"

Cedric couldn't help but laugh as his wife bombarded him with one question after the other.

"Slow down." He said as he laughed at her. "I can only answer one question at a time."

As Cedric was about to answer her, Adrianna's phone began to ring.

"This is not over, you are so dead for not telling me." She said as she picked up her phone.

"You said you wouldn't get mad." Cedric grumbled as he sat back against his seat, not wanting to further argue with his wife.

"Julia?" Adrianna asked as she picked up the call.

"Adri!" Jualia said in an excited tone. "Were you able to talk to Cedric, can he talk the Esteves Group into letting me go?"

"Julia, I already told you, Cedric needs more information before doing anything." Adrianna told her friend. "We need to know why they are holding you as a prisoner and what your ex-boyfriend did to offend them."

"I've told you everything I know, Adri." Julia cried out. "I really don't know what he did." Julia explained.

"Yeah, and they would just take any of his ex-girlfriends and he would come running back. Julia, what are you keeping from me?" Adrianna asked, her disappointment clear in her voice.

"I have told you nothing but the truth, Adrianna." Julia insisted. "I've never lied to you."

Adrianna could hear as her friend was on the verge of tears. She knew that Julia was in a scary position at the moment. A scary and dangerous one, but she could make things easier if she had told Adrianna the truth from the very beginning.

"Yeah, you didn't lie, you just chose to omit some facts." Adrianna said with a sigh when she realized that her friend wouldn't be telling her the truth.

"A- a- a- adri, what do you mean?" Julia said as she stuttered, unsure if her deception had been caught or not.

"Stop pretending, Julia." Adrianna hissed as her temper was growing short.

Adrianna couldn't believe that her friend would still try to lie to her face despite being caught.

She and Julia went way back, they had been friends since they were children. It felt as if the Julia she was speaking to now was not the Julia she knew.

Her friend had changed too much along the way. She had lost trust in those that she had grown up with and chose to lie to them.

Adrianna was sure that none of their friends knew about Julia's secret. Had they known then the child wouldn't have been given up for adoption, one of them would have taken the kid in.

"Julia, I don't know you anymore." Adrianna said with a sigh. "I can't recognize who you've become. Why did you keep this from us? Why did you lie? Didn't you think you could trust us?" Adrianna asked.

"Adrianna, you are not making any sense!" Julia shouted over the phone.

"Really Julia? Really?" Adrianna asked, her patience wearing thin.

"What have I not told you Adrianna? Tell me?" Julia asked, practically begging. Challenging Adrianna.

"Julia, you really want to push me, don't you?" Adrianna asked with a sigh.

Adrianna waited for a response over the phone.

When none came, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She had hoped that Julia would simply tell her the truth.

"Julia, they called the Reyes Group in Spain. We know." Adrianna said with a sigh. "We know that he isn't just your ex-boyfriend. He is your husband and the father of the child you gave up."

Adrianna waited for a response from the other end of the line.. When none came, she knew that Julia was still thinking of a way to get out of the mess she had made.
