Chapter 830 - 830

"Miguel, Veronica, would it be alright with you if Dominic did a DNA test with you and the members of the Tiu family?" Adrianna asked Veronica and Miguel.

"Of course, if it helps Dominic find his biological parents, then of course we'll do it." Veronica quickly said as she agreed to Adrianna's request.

"Aren't you worried?" Nicole asked Veronica. "What if Julia wants to take Dominic back?"

"She can't, the adoption was already finalized and they are the second couple to adopt Dominic. As a matter of fact we couldn't even find proof of his birth." Katerina pointed out.

"Maybe you should look for his birth certificate, Katerna." Cedric told the young lawyer. "I'm sure Julia will try to get the boy back, I doubt he was even adopted properly by his first family."

"I'll look into it." Katerina said with a nod.

"If his DNA test results show that he is related to the Chan family, do you think? Could he be?" Eric asked as he hesitated, unable to complete his question.

"There is a high chance, yes." Cedric said with a nod. "If it's the same Andrew Chan, I doubt he knows what Julia did. He probably thinks that Julia raised the boy."

"So Julia is now the key for us to find Andrew Chan." Ram said with a frown.

"Francesca won't be happy about this, will she?" Miguel asked his friend.

"To be honest, she wouldn't care. Well it won't bother her, what will worry her is me." Ram said with a sigh. "I really don't want anything to do with Julia Tiu anymore. If I could never run into her again, then I will be the happiest man alive."

"That bad?" Alexi asked.

"Worse than bad. Again sorry Adrianna. I know she is still your friend no matter what, but she is just toxic." Ram said as he shook his head.

"I'm just happy you have Francesca now." Adrianna told Ram with a smile. "I really like her, and Julia is my friend just as you are, regardless of your break up."

"Thank you." Ram said with a smile. "I was honestly worried that after I started dating Francesca you would hate me." Ram confessed.

"Why would I?" Adrianna asked with a laugh. "You are free to love whoever you want." She said with a nod.

"She's your friend, I said a lot of bad things." Ram said with a frown. "I would hate anyone that said something bad about my friends."

"Well, would you hate people for calling Alexi a playboy?" Adrianna asked.

"Hey! Former playboy, thank you very much." Alexi corrected, making everyone in the room laugh.

"Of course not, he's an ass for playing with women like that." Ram said as he rolled his eyes at Alexi.

"You never said anything!" Alexi pointed out.

"I did, at the start, but you didn't listen so I just gave up and let you be." Ram told his friend.

"Fine." Alexi said as he crossed his arms on his chest.

"For the meantime, I've asked Ace to look into who this Aaron Ting or Andrew Chan is." Cedric told everyone. "It's possible that he could still be using either name."

"I wonder how Dominic will take it." Nicole said with a frown as she thought out loud. "I mean his mom gave him up as a baby and we don't know if his dad even wanted him."

"What matters is that he knows that we love him." Veronica said with a nod.

"I asked the driver to pick him up." Miguel said as he placed his phone down. 

"Wow, you're quick." Cedric said as he looked at Miguel in shock.

"I want to get this over with." Miguel informed Cedric. "The sooner we get those samples and run them through tests, the faster we find out the truth."

"You do know that if the DNA tests say that Dominic is related to you, it will be an even bigger asset for us when we talk to the dads in three days." Cedric pointed out.

"I know." Miguel said with a nod. "It will be cutting it tight though, we get the samples today and the results right before we head to your place."

"The bigger challenge now is getting samples from the Tiu family." Cedric explained.

"I think I might have an easy way for that." Adrianna said with a smile. "If Julia's father knows that we know the truth, he can't refuse our request. It's either give their sample or risk offending the most important families. Plus Veronica and Miguel have no intention of handing Dominic over to them."

"Do you think you can convince him?" Cedric asked his wife.

"I think I can." Adrianna said with a nod.

"I'll have someone set a meeting for us with the Tiu family over lunch." Cedric told his wife. "Do you guys want to come?" Cedric asked his friends.

"Ced, I think it would be best if only Veronica and Miguel joined you." Ayanna suggested. "Having too much of us there might scare them." 

Cedric smiled at his sister and nodded. She was right, he often forgot how intimidating his group of friends could be. 

In his head they were just ordinary people, hanging out and chatting, but to others they were the richest and most powerful people in the country.

Just the sight of them could make someone nervous. 

"I'll arrange the meeting." Ian volunteered. "Mae can pick a place." He said as he got up and walked out of the room.

"If it's for Dominic, of course we will do it." Miguel said with a nod.

"I've asked someone from the hospital to come over to do the sample gathering." Nicole informed everyone as she looked up from her phone. "They should get here at the same time as Dominic."

"Thank you." Miguel told his sister.

"I know you're overwhelmed. I got this." Nicole said with a wink. 

It didn't take long till Ian came back into Cedric's office with a smile.

"They agreed to meet with you." He told Cedric with a nod.

"Did you tell them why?" Cedric asked.

"No." Ian said as he shook his head and sat back down next to Nicole. "All I told them was that it was related to Julia and that she had contacted Adrianna. They seemed worried."

"I don't think she's been allowed to contact her family." Adrianna revealed.

"Well, I guess we will just have to break the news to them.." Cedric said with a shrug.
