"Hello?" A man's voice answered. Just as Jonathan had said, he had a british accent.
Cedric placed the phone on the table and placed it on speaker, he wanted Jonathan to confirm if this was the person that had given him the number.
"Hi, yes, I'm looking for Aaron Ting." Cedric said over the phone, quickly putting it on mute so that he could speak to Jonathan.
"Is this him? Is the voice the same?" Cedric asked as he pointed at the phone.
"I'm sorry, but who is this?" The man asked.
"I can't tell." Jonathan said as he shook his head.
"We are friends of his wife." Cedric told the other man. "If you are Aaron Ting, I think it might be important for you to know that Julia is looking for you, but she left your son with us."
Putting the phone on mute again, Cedric gestured for Jonathan to listen closely.
"Aaron isn't here with me right now, but I can send him a message." The man said over the phone. "I'll give him this number and ask him to call you."
With that the man dropped the call, leaving everyone in the room confused.
"I'm sorry Cedric, but I really can't tell if he is the same person." Jonathan said with a frown. "I mean they sound the same, but I just can't be too sure."
"It's alright Jonathan." Cedric told the younger man as he tried to comfort him.
"Were you able to trace the location?" Cedric asked Dave as he glanced at the assistant.
"He's in England, but that's all we could get. The call was too short." Dave informed Cedric with a sigh.
"I guess we just have to wait." Cedric told everyone in the room. "We have a lot of resources moving and investigating this matter. I'm sure someone will pick something up."
"I'm just glad to hear that Julia's and Jonathan's parents are safe." Adrianna said with a sigh of relief.
"What do we do now?" Jonathan asked. "They still have my sister and we have no idea what condition she is in."
"They won't hurt her." Cedric said as he placed a hand on the younger man's shoulder trying to reassure him. "I think they figured out that she is innocent in all this mess. From what we heard from Julia they are taking good care of her."
"Well, that's nice to hear, but I won't be at ease unless my sister is back at home and safe." Jonathan told Cedric with a determined look.
"We will do everything in our power to get her back safe and sound." Cedric promised Jonathan.
"Thank you." Jonathan told Cedric. "I know I can trust you and Adrianna, you've never let me or my sister down, ever."
"We try." Adrianna responded with a smile.
"So that little boy might be my nephew?" Jonathan asked as he glanced at Dominic who was excitedly telling Miguel about his day.
"We don't know for sure, that's why we had to do the DNA test earlier." Cedric said as he frowned at Jonathan.
He watched as Jonathan looked at Damien with a smile, it was clear that the young man loved the nephew he had to give up.
"What's his name? I mean what name did the Chans decide to give him?" Jonathan asked.
"You'll find this funny." Cedric said with a grin. "His name is Dominic Chan."
"The same as on his birth certificate." Jonathan said as he wiped a tear from his eyes.
"Jonathan, you do understand that even if he is proven to be Julia's son she can't have him back." Cedric said. "The Chans won't give him back, they love him like their biological son and even Dominic won't want to go back to Julia."
"My sister never loved him." Jonathan said with a frown. "The only reason she considered taking him back is because I begged her to. I was the last to find out about the conditions they sent him to live. It was wrong and unfair."
"She will put up a fight to get him back, you know." Adrianna pointed out as they continued to watch the happy family.
"I know, but I'll stop her." Jonathan promised. "Dominic deserves a better life. My sister will only love him temporarily, once she is tired of him she will leave him again. I know Julia, she isn't the best person."
"And what about his father?" Cedric asked.
"He is involved with the Esteves Group, he betrayed them and got us all into this trouble. I don't think Dominic belongs with him either." Jonathan said as he shook his head. "No, Dominic is at the best place he could be in."
Jonathan smiled as he looked at Dominic, the boy was happy and healthy.
"He has parents that love him, parents that will truly care for him. He has lived through way too much for a young boy." Jonathan said as he frowned. "It would be unfair to take him away from the only happiness he has known."
"I'm sure they will let you visit him." Adrianna said as she looked at Dominic. She could tell from his expression that he had no idea what his nephew had suffered at the start.
"They will?" Jonathan asked.
"Even your sister can visit him if she wants. I'm sure the Chans would be alright with that." Cedric added.
"I'm not sure about Julia, but I would love to see more of Dominic, especially if he is actually my nephew." Jonathan said in a happy tone. It was as if a huge weight had been lifted from his chest and he had been set free.
"The Chans aren't your traditional couple, they are more open minded." Cedric said with a smile.
"I want to make it up to Dominic." Jonathan said with a new found determination. "I wasn't there when he was a child that needed to be saved, I was too late and too naive. I believed my father's lie that he was dead."
"I wonder why your father lied." Cedric asked out loud. "I have my suspicions but I would like to find out from him the truth."
"I would too.." Jonathan said with a nod.
