"Camilla just messaged me." Katerina told Cedric as they calmly sat in his office at the Reyes Group. "They just left Mor Co."
Cedric nodded as he got up and walked to look out the side of his office. It was made of glass from top to bottom and it gave him an excellent view of the city.
"Did Camilla mention where they are going?" Cedric asked Katerina. He knew that Camilla would be smart enough to explain where they were headed in order to give them an estimate of how much time they had to act.
"She told me earlier today that they might be going somewhere out of town, somewhere that Lucius Ting's men couldn't easily get to them." Katerina explained.
"We will start to move in thirty minutes. That should give them enough time to be as far as possible from the city." Cedric said as he analyzed the situation. "We can't wait too long, if we do our target will be hard to capture."
Katerina nodded as she sent out instructions to her people.
Out of all the jobs she did, this was her favorite, whenever she and one of her brother's friends were planning a high stakes plan.
Sometimes she wondered if being a lawyer was what she really wanted or if it was what her parents wanted for her. Either way, with her credentials she was able to help them in tasks such as these.
"Ian, do we have an update on our target?" Cedric asked his friend who was coordinating not only with their men but with members of the mafia as well.
They had enlisted the help of the Rocci Family and the Dean Family, just these two were more than enough to corner their target. But Cedric knew that in times like these, everything that could go wrong would probably go wrong.
"Yes, everyone has eyes on her and all the exits are secured." Ian said with a nod as he recounted the latest update.
"Alexi?" Cedric asked as glanced at his politically connected friend.
"Dad said that he can keep the news under wraps until the police catch her and have her in custody, after that he has no control." Alexi explained. "When she has be taken by the police that's when the government will declare that it is no longer a threat to let the public know about her case."
"And how long till we can deport her?" Ian asked, he had been calculating the timeline in his head.
"It should take an hour to process everything." Alexi told him and Cedric.
"To get to the airport from the police station where she will be held will take another twenty to thirty minutes." Cedric said as he considered the situation.
"It's a risk." Katerina said with a frown. "Let's say Lucius' men take about ten minutes to contact him and he can drive back in thirty, he will still be back in the capital before the one hour is over."
"Then let's hope that Uncle Jose can have the process sped up and that Camilla can distract Lucius Ting longer." Cedric said with a sigh as he shook his head.
He hated the idea that one of his friends who had already been through so much was in the grasp of his enemy. He wanted to get Camilla out of the situation she was in the moment Guan Ming contacted him.
But right now, as much as he didn't want to admit it, it was a huge asset that Camilla was there to keep them updated on Lucius Ting. On top of that, their date was currently keeping him away from Cedric's plan.
"Katerina, would Camilla have mentioned by any chance who planned this date?" Cedric asked as he realized that if Camilla was the one that had made the plans Lucius Ting would suspect her of working with Cedric.
If it was Lucius Ting on the other hand that had made the plans, he had no one else to blame but himself. Cedric prayed that it was the latter.
"From what I could pick up this morning it was Lucius Ting that made all of the plans and all Camilla had to do was to show up." Katerina told Cedric as she tried her best to recall all of the details of her conversation with Camilla earlier that day.
"Good." Cedric said with a nod, somewhat putting him at ease.
"Cedric, she's moving, she's about to leave the building." Ian informed Cedric.
Cedric glanced at his watch. Between the time Camilla had texted them that they had left Mor Co. and now, only twenty minutes had passed. There was still no guarantee that Lucius Ting and Camilla were far enough that it was safe for them to take Louise Ting.
"Have someone stall her." Cedric ordered.
Ian nodded as he typed on his phone.
"I'm asking them to cut the power in the elevator, hopefully she doesn't have signal in there and won't be able to contact anyone." Ian said as he explained his plan to Cedric.
"Sounds good to me." Cedric said with a nod as he continued to watch the time.
After a few minutes, Ian spoke again with an update.
"She's stuck in the elevator, we just need to keep her there for a few more minutes." Ian reported.
"Do we have any listening devices in that elevator so that we can find out if she can contact others?" Cedric asked.
"We do." Ian said with a nod as he scrolled through his phone. "According to the latest reports she's been trying to get into contact with her brother but he is already out of cell coverage."
"Good. We can go now." Cedric said with a nod as he gave the go signal for all of their teams to take action.
"They are making the elevator descend to the ground floor now." Ian said as he continued to observe the situation.
"The police are entering the building with an arrest warrant and a deportation notice." Alexi told them.
"They are already expecting her in Spain. Once she lands there, we shouldn't have any issues with Lucius Ting trying to get her out." Katerina confirmed.
"Why again are we sending her to Spain instead of the UK or USA?" Alexi asked as he seemed to have missed out on a big portion of their situation.
"Because Lucius Ting would never dare set foot in Spain." Cedric calmly explained to his friend. "He had enemies there that want him beaten and dead, people that he cannot fight or avoid."
"The Esteves Family." Ian said under his breath in case Alexi had forgotten.
"They have her." Alexi happily announced as he got word from their team on the ground. "Dad said they are already processing the documents. He also sent us a copy of her case from Spain."
"She will be allowed to contact someone." Ian told Cedric. "We know she will try to contact her brother."
"Can the police delay it for at least thirty minutes?" Cedric asked.
"They can try." Alexi told Cedric with a nod as he made a call and walked away.
"We will get her Cedric, she won't escape." Katerina told him with a reassuring look. "She is guilty and has hurt way too many people including Selina and Francesca, my brother will not let her get away with that."
Cedric worlessly nodded as he waited anxiously for news.
"The plane is ready." Ian announced. "Ray had a plane emptied out just to ship her messed up ass to Sapin."
"Thank you, Ian." Cedric told his friend.
"They can give us fifteen minutes, anything more than that is too much." Alexi told them as he got back.
"It takes ten minutes from her apartment to the police station, so that gives us twenty five." Cedric told them.
"Cedric we have another development." Ian said as he suddenly turned pale.
"Oh God, what is it this time?" Cedric asked. He knew it couldn't be good news.
"Some of Lucius Ting's men were spotted around the apartment, they saw the police taking Louise Ting!" Ian said frantically. "The mafia are already after them, but they cannot guarantee that they will get everyone."
"Tell them to do their best. Sweep the entire area if they have to!" Cedric ordered.
"I'll ask the military to set up check points going out of the capital, that should be enough to slow them down if they are trying to get to Lucius Ting." Alexi said as calmly as he could.
"They got most of them." Ian announced. "Unfortunately it looks like they managed to contact others, we don't know if there are people stationed near where Lucius Ting was taking Camilla."
"We better hope that she gets deported soon." Cedric said anxiously as he looked at the time.
The time didn't matter now, it all came down to who lady luck would be smiling on today, would it be him or Lucius Ting?
