Chapter 301

"You got it?" Cedric asked Ian as the elevator descended.

"Yup." Ian said as he passed something to Cedric. "It's up front. I'll take you to it." Ian explained as Cedric straightened himself. He had rushed to change since he had only a small window to leave the office in his ordinary clothes while Mae and Dave brought some documents over to a different department.

"Why do they have to have such a big family?" Cedric said with a sigh. He was glad that the Lobos lived somewhere far and didn't have the means to meddle in his marriage with Adrianna. Just like the rest of the world the Lobo family remained unaware of his identity as the Reyes Heir. "I should be used to this by now." Cedric said with a sigh.

Ian had rented him a simple black van that could fit the whole Lobo family, Adrianna's Aunt, Uncle, cousin, and grandparents. Adrianna's parents were with Cedric's at Nationalia that day and would just meet them at R Tower with Little Emilio. Amanda on the other hand said that she had business to attend to that's why she would simply follow.

Cedric picked Adrianna up at Island's Inc.'s office. The company was now peaceful and working harmoniously, with Adrianna at the helm they had managed to finally turn a profit and work on expanding. Matthew Hernandez led the expansion, leaving the core of the business to Adrianna and Henry.

When Adrianna hopped into the car, she smiled and kissed Cedric on the lips.

"Thank you for doing this." She told her husband tenderly.

"I already know their script." Cedric said with a laugh. "First they will insult my job, then my car, then they will tell you you should have married someone better. I'm sure they will bring Tony up again then eventually introduce us to Amanda's fiance, who will surely have a different car waiting for him at the airport." Cedric recounted how every encounter with both the Lobo and Hernandez family had gone down since he and Adrianna got together.

"Well your image doesn't matter to me. Because I love you." Adrianna said as she kissed Cedric again.

Cedric smiled and reluctantly ended the kiss. He leaned over to strap Adrianna's seatbelt himself making sure it was safely buckled.

Cedric and Adrianna talked about their day as they drove to the airport. When they arrived at the driveway, Adrianna spotted her Lobo relatives. Cedric stopped the car in front of them and got off to help them with their bags.

"Ah Aiden! This is our beautiful niece, Adrianna. It's just so unfortunate that she's already married." Adrianna's aunt Patricia Lobo lamented as she spoke to a young man.

"Nice to meet you Aiden." Adrianna said with a smile as she shook the man's hand. "This is my husband, Cedric." Adrianna introduced Cedric as he came out from around the van.

Aiden was a tall young man, by the looks of it he was around 25 years old. He was wearing a casual outfit. He came forward and shook Cedric's hand, Cedric tried to read the young man before him. According to Tony, Aiden was a rotten egg and should be kept as far away from Amanda as possible. But looking at him now he seemed like an ordinary man going on a trip to the Capital, then again, Cedric knew not to judge people by their outer appearances, their true personality often lurked beneath the surface.

"I'll help you with your things." Cedric said as he opened the back of the van and started to load everyone's things.

"My grandfather sent a car." Aiden slowly said to the Lobo family. "Where should I meet you?" He asked.

"Cedric got us a table at Nouveau in R Tower, we'll meet you there." Adrianna told Aiden.

"Wow, Cedric was able to get us a table there on such short notice?" Jam Lobo, Adrianna's cousin and Amanda's older brother asked her. Last time they had visited Cedric managed to get them a table at the Bamboo Room, but they simply assumed that since they had given more than a month's notice he was able to snag one quite easily. "I heard it's almost impossible to make a reservation there, you need to book your table weeks in advance! Did you know that we were coming over cousin?" Jam asked Adrianna like a child. Jam was quite naive, he had grown up in the province, gone to the Capital for University, then he went back to their province to help out in the family business.

"Your cousin-in-law is more capable than the elders say." Adrianna said with a wink as she opened the van door for them to get in.

When Cedric finally got all the bags into the van they drove off.

Jam leaned forward and began to ask questions non-stop.

"So cousin-in-law, have you met any of the five princes?" Jam asked.

"Yes." Cedric's reply was short.

"Who? Did you meet all of them, or just some of them?" Jam asked.

"All." Came Cedric's reply.

"Wow. Who's the nicest? Are they cool?" Jam continued to pester.

"The Reyes Heir is the best. They're alright." Cedric said with a shrug.

In the front seat next to him, Cedric could see his wife trying to not laugh. Of course he would say the Reyes Heir was the best, he was the Reyes Heir,

"You're so lucky, cousin-in-law. My dream in life is to become friends with them, then I can be the 6th prince!" Jam boasted.

"You can't be the 6th prince Jam." Adrianna said, shaking her head.

"Why not? Is it cause we're not rich enough?" Jam questioned his cousin.

"Because there is a 6th prince and a fallen prince." Cedric said before Adrianna could reply.

"What? Then why don't people talk about them?" Jam asked.

"Because they don't want to be talked about." Cedric said.

Jam kept silent, clearly confused with what Cedric had told him.

"Jam, the princes are so powerful that if they want to keep something hidden they can keep it hidden." Adrianna explained. Cedric simply nodded in agreement, that was definitely true.

"Why would you not want to be popular?" Jam asked.

"Some people prefer to be low key." This time it was Cedric who answered, he of all people knew what to say when asked that question.
