Chapter 350

"Miss Lorisa, I believe I can. I am sure that both you and your husband will become close allies of mine." Camilla said cockily.

"We aren't sure we understand what's happening." Anton Cruz said as he calmly eyed Camilla. He knew to be wary, there was a chance that Camilla was either tricking them or she was truly after her own gain.

"I didn't become the VP of Mor Co. by playing nice." Camilla said as she leaned back on her seat.

A waiter soon came in with several wine glasses and a bottle. He poured one for each of them and left.

"This bottle is one of the most expensive in Constellation Resorts' cellar. I am sharing it with you." Camilla said as she took a glass and drank.

Anton and Lorisa looked at each other, Anton nodded to his wife and took a glass. Lorisa moved and did the same.

"Miss Camilla, please speak to us plainly." Anton told the female VP.

"I can guarantee you almost every major project of Mor Co." Camilla said with a grin.

Anton and Lorisa were quickly drawn in by Camilla's statement.

After leaving his private room Cedric didn't go back to R Tower, instead he headed up to the presidential suite of Constellations Resort to change. He was going from the cold and powerful Reyes Group CEO, to just Cedric Reyes.

He was hoping that he could listen in on a conversation between Lorisa and Anton while they waited for their driver at the lobby. He needed to move fast since they would soon be heading down after Camilla spoke to them.

Cedric observed himself in the mirror, he was wearing ordinary office attire, a light blue long sleeved polo and a tie. When he was satisfied that his look was as ordinary as possible, he sent a message to Camilla informing her that he was on the way down.

By the time Cedric arrived at the lobby he had to wait a few minutes before he finally saw the couple arriving from the second floor restaurant.

Cedric kept his head down as he approached the couple who was speaking to one another.

"Do you think Miss Camilla was serious?' Lorisa asked her husband in a low voice.

Cedric was now directly behind them, he kept his head down so that they wouldn't notice him.

"I think she is." Anton told Lorisa. "I also think she is being honest. To have someone like Miss Camilla on our side will help us a lot." Anton added.

"Yeah, imagine all of Mor Co.'s projects and potentially some from the Reyes Group? We would be one of the largest construction firms in the country at that rate!" Lorisa exclaimed.

"I didn't think that the Reyes Group would have so many complicated issues inside. But then again, I think they just hide things well." Anton said. "I bet the siblings themselves don't get along, and that happy image of Miss Ayanna and the CEO getting along with no inheritance issues, I'm sure there is some strife there."

Cedric wanted to laugh at Anton's theory, the Reyes Family rarely had inheritance issues, but at the same time he wanted to punch Anton for thinking that his sister and he didn't get along.

"That's true." Lorisa said agreeing with her husband.

"Lorisa, how dare you bring up my father without my consent." Anton's tone suddenly turned dark as Cedric noticed him grabbing Lorisa by the wrist.

"I only thought of your poor father. We can help him." Lorisa said in a helpless tone.

"My father chose his path. Associating ourselves with him will only make things worse." Anton told his wife in a low voice. "Why can't you learn to follow what I say Lorisa?"

"He is still your father Anton, and we will benefit if his plan works out." Lorisa cried out as Cedric noticed Anton's grip tightening on her arm. As much as he disliked Lorisa, he couldn't stand a man that would hurt a woman, especially someone he claimed to love.

"When we get home I will punish you for what you did." Anton told his wife.

Cedric noticed as Anton looked up to see their driver approaching. He quickly walked up to them and bumped into Lorisa, making sure to drop the listening device into a small pocket in her bag.

"What the-?!" Lorisa shouted as she almost lost her balance.

Anton quickly held his wife, keeping her upright.

"Watch where you're walking." Anton said coldly as he looked at the man that had bumped into him and Lorisa.

When he noticed it was Cedric, he grinned.

"It's you." Lorisa suddenly said. "Why do you keep showing up in our life!?" Lorisa complained.

"Do you own this place? You can't control who comes here." Cedric told Lorisa.

"Anton, babe, maybe we could ask the CEO to get rid of him?" Lorisa asked her husband lovingly as she pressed her breast on to his arms.

"What CEO?" Cedric asked, feigning ignorance. Of course he knew exactly who Lorisa was referring to.

"You poor scum." Lorisa said with a laugh. "Aren't you his assistant, don't you know that we just came from a lunch meeting with your boss to thank him for giving us a project." Lorisa boasted.

"That's a lie." Cedric said with a glare. "He never goes out with business partners, only those that he deems to be extremely important." Cedric wanted the couple to think that they ranked among those people, the cockier they got, the more likely they were to slip and make a mistake.

"That's how important we are to him." Anton said. "I'll give him a call when we get home, I'm sure he would fire a measly employee for us."

Anton pulled Lorisa away and they walked into their car. Cedric grinned happily as he successfully accomplished what he had come to do.

He took out his phone and dialed Leon's number.

"Are you getting a clear audio?" Cedric asked.

"Yes, sir." Leon said as he listened in on the conversation.

Cedric had initially planned for someone else to plant the bug on Lorisa or Anton, but he realized that they would be less suspicious if they bumped into him as they had in the past. Cedric was glad with the sudden change, it even allowed Leon to make sure that all the features of the bug were working.

"Record all their conversations, I've seen Lorisa use that bag often so I'm sure that it will capture some interesting pieces of information." Cedric told Leon as he dropped the call and made his way back up to the presidential suite to change.
