Chapter 355

Name:Never Judge Author:
The other guests of Hype bar were thrown in a panic, how was someone able to bring in a gun and why did he point it at another guest. As they got to safety most posted about the events on their social media platforms, drawing the press to drive over to Hype Bar. They didn't know who the parties involved were but it was clear that this was going to be big news. Hype Bar was owned by Raymund Laurence, one of the five princes, husband to Ayanna Reyes, and brother-in-law to the CEO of the Reyes Group. Anything attached to someone that big was sure to cause scandal.

The members of the media were surprised when the police arrived just as they did, they thought that they could catch a glimpse before everything was cordoned off since the station was nowhere near Hype Bar. It seemed as if the police had predicted what was going to happen.

Inside Hype Bar, after Leon had tackled Carlo Juan to the ground, the rest of Cedric's security team made sure to render the rest of his bullies unable to retaliate. Most of them were on the ground either unconscious or struggling to get out of the bodyguard's hold.

As soon as Leon had tackled Carlo, Ian gave Damien a call who quickly came over with his team, luckily he was nearby and had just finished a sting operation that had unfortunately failed to capture an informant who could point out the King of the Underworld to them.

"We've arrested the men and there is enough here to send them to jail for a long time." Damien informed Ian and Cedric who were currently being checked by the medics for any injuries.

"Thank you, Capt. Damien." Cedric said with a nod. He was lucky that Leon had spotted Carlo as he was taking out the gun, if Leon had moved any slower Cedric would surely have suffered more serious injuries.

"You guys are lucky that that Leon guy was around." Damien said as he pointed at Leon who was giving a statement. "Did you know that he is ex-special forces? I mean I met the guy before and he's my idol, now I walk into a crime scene and he's here saving my friend." Damien said excitedly.

"Yes, we were lucky." Ian said with a laugh.

"Last I heard he was working as private security for someone extremely rich and extremely powerful. I guess it was his day off and he decided to hangout at a bar." Damien said with a shrug. "I'm gonna ask for a photo with him later."

"You're such a fan." Cedric teased the young captain.

"I just find it odd that there were also other members from the personal security team of your CEO in the area. According to Leon he was having a drink with them when this happened. Ian, does Leon work for your boss?" Damien quickly asked.

"Ummm…" Ian was unable to answer Damien's question as he looked towards Cedric.

"Yeah, probably." Cedric answered casually. "I mean in the country only a handful of people can hire him, and our boss is definitely on the list."

"Those boys, how do you know them?" Damien asked Cedric in a more serious tone.

"They bullied me when I was at university." Cedric gave a simple and truthful reply.

"How did the altercation start?" Damien asked as he scribbled in his notebook.

"Well they were harassing a girl and we walked over to help out. I guess our past issues mixed with me trying to save the poor girl and they just got mad." Cedric explained.

"Did you notice him pulling out a gun?" Capt. Damien asked.

"No. We just heard the gunshot and a crashing noise. I actually felt the wound late." Cedric explained as he recounted what had happened.

"What happened here?" A cold voice asked as the police that were blocking the entrance let the person enter.

It was Ray. As soon as he heard something had happened in his bar he rushed over from the office. This bar was a pet project to him and he was very much hands on when it came to the operations of the place.

He was surprised to see Cedric and Ian being checked by the medics and being interviewed by Capt. Damien.

"Capt. Damien, what happened here?" Ray asked the young police officer. He knew that it was Damien that kept looking around to expose who the King of the Underworld was, so Ray was quite cold towards him.

"Mr. Laurence, these men attacked Cedric and Ian, I think you are familiar with them." Capt. Damien answered in a kinder tone.

"Yes. I know of them." Ray said as he kept a straight face. Cedric knew that his best friend was itching to ask him questions. "Let me make sure that these men get home safe, I'll personally take them to a hospital then have my driver take them home."

"Thank you for the offer Mr. Laurence. I'm sure it will be appreciated." Damien said with a nod.

"Those men you just arrested, they were involved with a few scandals a while back." Ray pointed out as he recognized Cedric's bullies.

"They were?" Capt. Damien was clearly not updated with the latest gossip.

"Yes. I suggest you take them out through the front door." Ray suggested with a grin. The grin was for Cedric, it was as if Ray was saying, look I helped.

"We will do that." Capt. Damine said as he signaled for his men to take the suspects out through the front door.

"Damien, what about the girl we helped?" Cedric asked as he looked over to the poor girl that a female officer was speaking to.

"She will probably undergo some psychological treatment, but physically she is fine." Damien informed Cedric. "Well, we will go ahead now, Mr. Laurence has offered to take you to the hospital for an additional check up."

Cedric and Ian bid Damien goodbye as he and the other police exited Hype Bar through the main door. Cedric was sure that the moment the bullies left the building their faces would be plastered all over social media and the news.

When they were finally alone, Ray's expression changed from frosty to warm as he began to ask Cedric questions about what had happened. Cedric patiently recounted everything from when they had arrived at Hype.

When he was finally finished he noticed the young girl they had saved approaching.

"Oh, hello." Cedric said with a smile.

"Th- th- thank you." She said shyly. "My name is Ciara, thank you for saving me."

"You're welcome. Any decent man would have done it." Cedric said with a shrug.

"No, they all saw, but they were afraid of those men." Ciara said as she shook her head vigorously. "You're my idol now!" Ciara said with a smile.

"We should take Ciara to the hospital for a check as well." Cedric told Ray.

"Sure, come on. Where are Leon and the others?" Ray asked as he noticed that Cedric's bodyguards seemed to have disappeared.

"They probably went ahead to Saints." Cedric said with a shrug.

"I have a few cars waiting at the back. Ciara I hope you don't mind riding in a car alone?" Ray asked the somewhat frightened girl.

"I don't. I think I would like to be alone actually." Ciara admitted.

Ray nodded and led them to the back door.
