Chapter 379

The employees of Regis Inc. were peacefully minding their own business when a flashy red car rolled into their driveway. The security team was quickly placed on full alert, it seemed that someone important had just arrived.

"Who's that?" A curious female employee asked a security guard as she walked in the door.

"We have no idea miss, the fancy car just rolled in and it's been parked there for the past twenty minutes." The security guard told the employee as she stared at the car.

"Must be some VIP guest of Miss Rocci or the CEO, who else would have a car as fancy and flashy as that?" The employee said as she walked into the building.

"The driver hasn't come out?" The head of security asked as he walked across the lobby, followed by the head guard for the shift.

"No sir." The head guard said as he briskly walked to catch up to his boss. "Isn't he one of the young miss' guests?"

"Are you silly? Miss Calathea is dating the CEO, she wouldn't have a male guest." The head of security told the guard.

"OH MY GOSH, NO WAY!" A female employee nearby suddenly said with a gasp.

"That's HIS car!" Her companion shouted as she showed her phone to the employee.

"Miss, who's car?" The head guard asked as he approached the employee.

"His, him! Didn't you know the rumors about him and Miss Calathea?" The employee asked. "That's Eric Chan's car!"

"Do you think he is here to chase after his one true love?" Her friend asked. "I always thought they were a better fit than the President's daughter, she just comes off as too strong. She isn't a good fit for him. Miss Calathea is better, so noble and elegant."

"What are you talking about?" The head of security asked with a puzzled look.

"Didn't you hear, the rumor is that Eric Chan is still in love with Miss Calathea and has been thinking of winning her back. It seems to be true, I mean why else would his car be waiting outside of Regis Inc." The female employee said as she pointed at the fancy car out front.

The longer the car stayed outside, more people came down. Many employees of Regis Inc. were fans of Eric Chan, so when the news broke out that his car was outside their building, they didn't hesitate to drop their work and head down.

Inside the car Eric tapped on his steering wheel. They needed a crowd for what he was about to do, so Cedric and Ram suggested that he park his car outside the building, Ram would have someone snap a photo and post it in various gossip sites online.

Thirty minutes had already passed and Eric was getting impatient. He looked at his watch, in another thirty minutes Katerina's hearing would end and she would check her phone and see his latest scandal. He was more worried about his girlfriend's reaction than getting caught for being part of Cedric's plot.

He had sent a message to Calathea earlier saying he was going to Regis Inc. to speak to her. As expected Calathea did not reply, it would create the perfect cover for his being there. He would pretend to be the love sick man that came over to chase his woman. The thought disgusted him, Calathea Carpio was the last woman he wanted to court.

He looked out and saw that an ample enough crowd had gathered. He took a deep breath and took out his shades and picked up the bouquet of flowers that he would carry to create a commotion. He didn't bring any guards this time, the idea was for a crowd to gather and get uncomfortably close to him.

Eric opened his door and stepped out. As soon as the girls saw him they began screaming, the head of security approached Eric as soon as he saw the actor step out.

"Sir, might I ask what business you have at Regis Inc.?" The man asked.

"I'm here for Calathea. Is she inside?" Eric asked as he walked from his car into the building.

"Sir, you can't be here." The head of security insisted, he knew that the CEO and Miss Calathea wouldn't appreciate him being around.

"If you won't help me, I'll find someone that will." Eric said coldly. He wanted to laugh, he was trying to copy Cedric's tone whenever he would channel his CEO persona.

Eric scanned the lobby, he tried to look over the crowd of women who were snapping photos and screaming his name. Eric flashed them a smile making them shout even louder, the whole lobby was erupting with their screams, some passersby noticed the commotion and even joined in. The guards couldn't stop Eric's fans from entering the lobby and trying to get a photo of him.

Eric finally spotted what he was looking for, he walked up to the receptionist's table and looked at the woman behind the desk. The woman looked up as she resisted acting like a fan, the other women, and some men closed in, some even standing beside her behind the table.

"Hi Miss. Do you think you can tell me if Miss Calathea is in?" Eric asked as he flashed the woman a smile.

The receptionist looked up at the head of security, asking for what to do. Eric knew the protocol here, she wasn't allowed to tell Eric.

"Hey you!" A security guard shouted as he pointed at a janitor who was acting suspiciously and walked too close to the receptionist's computer. Despite the commotion Eric had caused the security team remained alert in case someone used this distraction to get confidential files or break into the company.

"I'm not doing anything!" The janitor said as he raised his hand to show his innocence.

"Get him!" The head of security said as they grabbed the man and dragged him away.

"I just wanted a photo! My daughter is a fan!" The man shouted as he was forcefully taken away.
