Chapter 577

"We need to talk." Ray said as he entered his and Ayanna's room in Cedric's Mountain View Mansion. 

Ray had just arrived coming from his meeting with Ian. 

He found his wife sitting by her laptop, ready for bed.

"Why are you overworking yourself?" Ray said as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her closer to him. 

"Well, Cedric isn't around, so someone has to do the work." Ayanna said with a shrug. "I can't let the company fall just because my brother has issues."

"Ayanna, we found him." Ray said as he massaged his wife's shoulders. He felt her tense up under his touch. He didn't know what to make of her reaction.

"Please tell me you didn't know." Ray pleaded.

"Know about what exactly, Ray?" Ayanna said, placing her palms on the table and letting out a frustrated sigh.

"You didn't know that Nicole and Eric were hiding Cedric, or that Adrianna was in fact pregnant." Ray said as he marched into their walk in closet to get ready for bed. 

"I won't lie to you and I won't hurt you." Ayanna said, getting up from her table and following her husband. 

"So you knew, you knew all along and you let your friend, your sister-in-law suffer because your brother needed space?" Ray said angrily, shaking his head. 

"I didn't know where Cedric was." Ayanna said in a frustrated tone. "I never lied about that!" 

"You didn't?" Ray said as he calmed down. He was aggressively taking off his clothes when Ayanna entered their walk-in-closet. 

Seeing her husband naked made Ayanna suddenly pause and avert her eyes.

"Nothing you haven't seen or felt ma cherie." Ray said as he walked over and pulled his wife close to him.

"So what did you know?" Ray asked.

"Can't you put clothes on?" Ayanna asked him angrily. 

"I can, but what's the difference." Ray said as he brushed a stray strand of hair from her face.

"Ray! This is a serious conversation!" Ayanna shouted in frustration as she pulled away from her husband.

Ray simply laughed at her and raised his hands.

"Put on some pants or we won't be discussing this." Ayanna said, turning around and leaving him.

Ray laughed and did as she asked, quickly cleaning himself up and putting on clothes.

When he finally returned to their room, he found Ayanna still working on her laptop.

He sighed and shook his head. 

Ayanna jumped in surprise when Ray suddenly closed her laptop and picked her up from her seat.

"Ray put me down now!" Ayanna demanded. "I still have work to finish."

"That can wait." Ray said as he placed her down gently on the bed. "Right now I want to talk about Cedric and Adrianna."

"Fine." Ayanna said, crossing her arms.

"What did you know?" Ray asked his wife as he climbed into bed next to her.

"All Nicole told me is that Adrianna is pregnant." Ayanna said with a shrug.

"So why didn't you tell Adrianna?" Ray asked as he stared into his wife's eyes.

"Adri knows." Ayanna said, shaking her head. "She asked us not to tell."

"Adrianna knows?" Ray asked, sitting up in surprise.

"Yeah." Ayanna said with a nod. "She didn't want people using it as a way for Cedric to come back, so she made everyone keep it a secret."

"Ian said that Cedric told them Adrianna didn't know." Ray said as he scratched his chin.

"What do you mean Cedric told them?" Ayanna asked, leaning closer to her husband.

"Ian, Camilla, Dave, and Leon got to see Cedric today." Ray explained. "Mae has been meeting with him. He's been telling her how to take care of Adrianna. He knew that she was pregnant."

"And my brother still refused to return?" Ayanna asked with a disappointed look on her face. "How can Cedric be so heartless?"

"Ayanna, Cedric is not at the best place right now." Ray said as he placed a hand on his wife's back.

"Where has he been this whole time? How did he know about Adrianna's pregnancy?" Ayanna demanded to know.

"He probably found out through Eric or Nicole." Ray said with a frown. "He's been staying at the psych ward of Saints Hospital. It seems like he's been getting help there."

"The Chans knew?" Ayanna asked angrily. "They knew and they didn't say a word?" 

"They might have believed he needed the time to recover." Ray said in an attempt to understand Cedric's actions.

Ayanna suddenly got off of their bed and marched out of the room.

Ray quickly chased after her, worried about what Ayanna would end up doing.

"Ayanna, people are sleeping, let's go back to our room." Ray pleaded as he grabbed her wrist.

"Let go of me Raymund Laurence, unless you want to end up sleeping in the car today!" Ayanna hissed, making Ray let go.

There was nothing he could do.

He followed Ayanna as she climbed up the stairs of the Mountain View Mansion.

"Ayanna, please, don't be too rash on this." Ray begged as he chased her up the stairs.

"I'm not being rash!" Ayanna said, turning to face him. "Adrianna deserves to know the truth!"

Ayanna quickly walked up the door to the master bedroom and knocked.

She waited till Adrianna opened the door, the other woman was quite surprised to see Ayanna standing at her bedroom door in her pajamas.

"We need to talk." Ayanna said, pulling her sister-in-law into the room. "It's up to you if you want to join us." Ayanna said, turning to her husband. 

Ray simply shrugged and followed the two women inside, closing the door behind him. 

"Adrianna I need you to be calm." Ayanna warned as she held Adrianna's hands in hers.

"You tell her that, but you marched into her bedroom like a mad woman." Ray said with a laugh, rolling his eyes.

"You! You! Shut up!" Ayanna said as she turned her back on Ray. 

Her husband simply laughed at her reaction and sat at a couch nearby.

"What is it Ayanna?" Adrianna asked in a sleepy voice. "I'm quite tired and want to sleep."

"Adrianna, my brother has known this whole time that you are pregnant and he has been hiding out at Saints Hospital. I think Nicole, Eric, and Miguel are helping him out." Ayanna quickly said, making Ray pinch the space in between his eyes in frustration.

"Oh, yeah I know." Adrianna suddenly said, shocking the couple.
