Chapter 587

Name:Never Judge Author:
The rest of the dinner went on much lighter, Benedict and Camilla asked Lucius about himself, and the more they spoke to him, the more they felt that he was truly a relation of the Chan family.

When they ended the night, Camilla and Benedict returned home. It was already way past midnight.

"We should give Cedric a call." Camilla reminded her brother as she walked over to her home office.

Benedict nodded and followed his sister silently into her office.

It didn't take long for Cedric to pick up the call. Camilla was shocked to see that Cedric was still in the office.

"Shouldn't you be at home?" Camilla asked with a laugh. "Adrianna will be pissed." She said, shaking her head.

"I'd rather not." Cedric said with a frown. Clearly he was avoiding something at Mountain View.

"Please send him home." Ian complained in the background. "Nicole is furious with me. Tristan won't go to sleep without me at home!"

"It's not that late." Cedric grumbled. "You have an update?" Cedric asked the siblings.

"Yeah," Camilla said with a nod. "Dinner with Lucius Ting went well. We have a better grasp of his personality and his tendencies now."

"Camilla thinks he's hot." Benedict suddenly said with a laugh.

"What the fuck!" Camilla shouted, hitting her brother on the shoulder. "I do not think he is hot." She said, crossing her arms across her chest.

"There is nothing wrong with thinking he is hot Camilla." Ian said with a laugh as he stood behind Cedric. "I mean, he has the same genes as Eric and Miguel and a lot of women want to bed those two."

"Gross Ian!" Camilla complained. "They are your brother-in-laws, don't tell me you fantasize about them!"

"Why would I need to fantasize about the men when I have the female version in bed with me everyday." Ian said with a smirk as Camilla's reaction turned from amused to disgusted.

"Okay, break it up you two, we need to talk about serious matters." Cedric said, rolling his eyes at his two former assistants. "But Camilla, if you like Lucius, then I honestly don't think it's wrong. Just remember to make sure he is a good man to you."

"I'm not into Lucius!" Camilla said angrily. "I like someone else okay!" Camilla suddenly confessed not realizing what she had just said.

"What?!" Cedric said, laughing at Camilla's words.

Camilla quickly covered her mouth when she realized what she just said.

"Camilla, Camilla, so many secrets." Ian teased, clicking his tongue. "Did you know about this Benedict?" Ian asked.

"Of course not." Benedict said, shaking his head. "If I knew anything about her liking someone else I wouldn't have teased her so much about Lucius."

"So who is it Camilla?" Cedric asked with a grin, this was much more interesting than talking about business and revenge.

"Oh shut up you three!" Camilla said, rolling her eyes as she regained her composure.

"Well, I would like to meet this man." Benedict said as he looked at his sister in the eyes.

"You will, someday. I don't know." Camilla said, looking flustered all over again. "We're sorting things out."

"Make sure to introduce us then." Ian said with a wink, to which Camilla only responded with an awkward smile.

"Why don't we go back to discussing Lucius Ting and Arch Group?" Camilla suggested as she tried desperately to get the topic back on track.

"You're right Camilla." Cedric said with a nod as he smiled. "So what did you learn?"

"Well for one, the longer we spoke to him the more I felt like I was speaking to one of the Chans." Camilla said with a shrug. "There are just too much similarities, yet at the same time there has never been any DNA proof that he is related to them."

"So Aiden never pushed him to take a DNA test?" Cedric asked, clarifying what Camilla had just said.

"No, never." Camilla said, shaking her head.

"I think our brother never asked for a DNA test to prove his relation because the evidence was just too overwhelming." Benedict added. "His age, where he was adopted, even who gave him up for adoption to the convent. It's just too similar to the missing Chan cousin."

"Still." Cedric said as he scratched his chin. "I want DNA confirmation. I know there is no way now, but maybe we can push him to take a DNA test."

"It's possible, I'm not sure if he truly wants to harm the Chan family, I feel like my brother was just using him as a puppet." Benedict said as he thought of how Lucius behaved during their dinner.

"He is mad, yes." Camilla said with a nod. "He also just found out about the circumstances of Uncle Miguel's death."

"You told him?" Cedric asked.

"Yes." Camilla admitted.

"It's fine." Cedric said as he considered the repercussions. "It's best if he knows as early as now rather than later. At least he cannot say you hid the truth from him. What about his relationship with Aiden?"

"Aiden was just his mentor and advisor, they were friends, but that was it." Benedict said with a shrug. "I'm hoping we could take that place. It will be easier to dissuade him from doing anything illegal or dangerous."

"If he is merely trying to better his company, I find no issue with it." Cedric said in a calm tone. "But the moment he begins to use underhanded strategies, I will not hesitate to make a move."

"At the moment, he seems to want to go through the proper path and challenge Mor Co. as the industry leader in the country." Benedict added.

"He seems like he could be a good guy." Camilla said as she leaned back on her seat. "But people can be deceiving."

"Let's just keep an eye out for him." Cedric said with a nod. "Any news if he will be attending both the Gizmo Awards and the Charity Event after?"

"Yes, he said he will. We didn't need to encourage him." Camilla informed Cedric.

"Good, then I'll talk to him then. For the meantime, I need to go woo my angry wife." Cedric said with a sigh as he shook his head. "Go get some rest. I hope this charade can end soon."

With that Cedric ended the call.
