Chapter 685

"Camilla, hurry up." Benedict called out for his sister as he looked at the time. They had promised to be at Lucius' house by 7pm that night so that they could all arrive together and Camilla was taking forever to get dressed.

"A moment." Camilla shouted as he heard her door close and her heels click as she walked down the hallway of the second floor of their house.

"I'll get the car started." Benedict called out as he turned and walked towards the garage door.

The siblings had chosen to hire as few staff as possible, all were trusted members of Camilla's own staff back at Solaire Tower.

Cedric had also transferred to them several bodyguards of whom he was sure Lucius had no information on.

As Camilla opened the door and slid in, a maid opened the garage door for them and Benedict sped out.

The property gate was already being held open as he exited in a rush.

"What took you so long?" Benedict asked his sister in an impatient tone.

"Relax, Benedict." Camilla said as she placed a hand on his shoulder. "I was speaking to Cedric. I had to tell him about Lucius' plan."

"And?" Benedict asked as he slowed the car down to an appropriate speed. "Will he be able to deal with it?" He asked.

"Of course, this is Cedric Reyes we are talking about." Camilla said with a laugh. "As you might have noticed, Katerina's car wasn't in their house, that means he called for her."

"He can really think of plans quickly, can't he." Benedict said in an amazed tone as they drove towards the city where Lucius lived.

"If he couldn't then he doesn't deserve his position as the CEO of the Reyes Group." Camilla said plainly. "I'm sure even Ayanna would be able to come up with a plan as fast as him, Cedric's methods are just more under the radar than Ayanna's" She explained.

"They really are something, the Reyes Family." Benedict pointed out.

"The Reyeses wouldn't have survived this long if they didn't have an edge to them." Camilla said with a nod. "Many families have risen and fallen over the years, while the Reyeses have remained."

"Why are you so anxious?" Camilla asked as she noticed that her brother's demeanor had remained unchanged.

"It's your first time showing everyone that you are going against Cedric." Benedict said with a frown as he continued to drive, keeping his eyes on the road. "Don't you think people will bash you for it?" He asked.

"Oh, they will." Camilla said with a laugh. "People will say the worst and most painful words and I think it will make me cry."

"Then why push through with this plan?" Benedict asked, his worry clear in the tone of his voice.

"Because we owe the Reyeses that much." Camilla said as she looked out at a distance, remembering how she had been saved from her own parents.

"We both know they wouldn't want you to risk yourself and your reputation like this." Benedict pointed out.

"And what about you, brother?" Camilla said as she turned to face Benedict. "Don't you think I don't know what you've cooked up with Cedric. You are risking way more than me."

"He saved us." Benedict said in a solemn tone. "I never wanted to end up the same way that Aiden had. I hated how Aiden was growing up, but by the way things were going, I was just going to become another version of him."

"Now do you understand?" Camilla asked her brother. "I want to do this to repay them for all of the good they have done for us."

"What you and I are doing are different and you know it." Benedict scolded his sister. "What you are planning, Cedric has no idea about. You won't have his support if it fails." Benedict warned.

"I have faith that it will all work out." Camilla said with a nod as they pulled up to the building that Lucius lived in.

"Are you sure that pretending to date Lucius Ting is the best way to get to him?" Benedict asked his sister.

"You would do the same in my place." Camilla said with a frown.

"No, I wouldn't fuck Lucius Ting." Benedict teased his sister, making her laugh.

"But seriously, Camilla, be careful." Benedict warned. "You don't have to do everything he asks you to do, you can say no."

"I want to do what will work." Camilla insisted.

"Cedric would be furious to hear what you were willing to do just for his cause." Benedict reminded her. "You are like a sister to him, he cares about you as much as I do. We would never want to see you hurt or compromised."

"Benedict, it's not like he's gonna knock me up, or film us and blackmail me." Camilla told Benedict. "Let's just drop this conversation now, because we both know that this conversation will not be going anywhere."

"Fine, but be careful." Benedict said with a sigh as he opened the door to his car and stepped out.

He quickly made his way to Camilla's door and opened it for her, offering his hand to help her out.

Camilla took it thankfully and got out of the car.

Lucius lived at the penthouse of the Ara Tower, he had two floors all to himself and a dedicated elevator that led directly to his place.

When Camilla and Benedict stepped out of the elevator, Camilla squealed in surprise as Lucius' strong arms pulled her by the waist and towards him.

"Lucius!" Camilla scolded as she playfully slapped his arms.

"I missed you." Lucius said tenderly as he kissed Camilla on the lips.

"My brother is here, Lucius." Camilla said as she pushed him away.

"It's fine, Camilla." Benedict groaned as he walked into Lucius' place.

The siblings had been there so often that at this point they could casually walk around and Lucius wouldn't mind.

Add to that the fact that Benedict and Camilla were his top investors, of course he wouldn't mind at all.

"See babe." Lucious said as he pressed his lips onto Camilla's forcing his way into her mouth, kissing her passionately. "Your brother doesn't mind."

"Later." Camilla scolded as she kissed Lucius back.

"What's got Benedict all pissed and angry?" Lucius asked as he watched Benedict disappear into his kitchen.

"Just some deals we planned to trap Cedric that didn't fall through." Camilla said with a shrug, quickly thinking of an excuse.

"Is he still working with Cedric?" Lucius asked Camilla.

"To be honest, I'm not sure." Camilla said.

"Come on, let's go to my room, we still have time before the event." Lucius said with a wink as he pulled Camilla towards his bedroom.
