Chapter 1121: True Mountain Lion

Name:New Age Of Summoners Author:
After thinking for a few moments, Ajax found a way to convince Brutus to become his follower.

'I hope it works.'

Ajax was not completely sure about his idea; however, at the same time, he was not completely hopeless about it.

'Even if it doesn't work, I will just have to be content with the two smaller world's world cores.'

Nevertheless, Ajax thought to be content with what he had already gained.

"Are you really a mountain lion?"

Once Ajax prepared his mind with the outcome of his method of convincing the mountain lion named Brutus, he asked him a question.

"I am the true mountain lion here. Not a single one here is worthy to be called a true mountain lion."

While saying that, Brutus scoffed at all the onlooking mountain lions including King Glaucus.

That's right!

He even scoffed at King Glaucus making Ajax a little bit surprised.

'Looks like I understood why Brutus didn't respect King Glaucus earlier.'

Finally, Ajax revealed a slight smile when he understood what Brutus' problem was.

According to what he knew about a mountain lion, they were 'proud', 'never go back on their words', 'Talk straight to the face'.

However, Ajax had already noticed King Glaucus's behaviour and knew he was extremely cunning, unlike the true mountain lions.

As for the onlooking mountain lions, they treasured their lives over death.

"So, I have a deal for you."

Once he understood Brutus' problem, Ajax felt the chances ofo his idea of making Brutus his follower increased by a huge percent. So, Ajax started his idea.

"Just kill me. This world is not a place for a true mountain lion like me. At least, in this way, I can peacefully close my eyes as if I died in a challenge."

However, Brutus didn't ask about the deal as he just asked Ajax to kill him.

"Sigh...I thought you are a true mountain lion; however, you are just lke others."

Ajax shook his head while saying those words.

"What did you say?"

Brutus became angry as he tried his best to stand up on his legs and looked at Ajax with blood-red eyes.

"You are saying they are all not true mountain lions and claiming yourself that you are a true mountain lion. So, what did you do for the mountain lion's race?"

"Have you ever thought of changing these mountain lions to become the true mountain lion?"

"If so, how many times did you try and how long have you tried?"

Ajax asked many questions in a row that not only made Brutus but all the onlooking mountain lions think.

'Have I ever tried to do something to change me?'

'No...I only blamed others saying that they are not true mountain lions.'

'Then, what about me?'

Soon, Brutus fell into one thought after another that made him fall to the ground as he still could not stand on his legs properly with all those injuries.

'What the hell is he trying to do?'

From the sky, King Glaucus was looking at Ajax's actions; however, he was not as sharp as he thought he was. So, he didn't understand what Ajax was trying to do.

'But, why do I feel it is definitely not good for me?'

King Glaucus was having a bad feeling when he saw Brutus was thinking about something for the first time in his life.

Even though he felt something was not right, King Glaucus didn't know what it was. So, all he could do right now was to watch Brutus and Ajax.

"I know Mountain Lions are not good with their heads. So, I have a deal for you."

Soon, Ajax felt it was the right time to speak and said what he wanted to say.

"Huh?"

With Ajax's words, Brutus came out of his thoughts and raised his brows; however, he didn't ask about the deal; instead, he looked at Ajax for a few moments.

'What is this human thinking?'

He started thinking about some of the questions; however, he was unable to find any answers. So, he came to a conclusion, 'I think, there is no harm in hearing about the deal, right?'

With that thought in his head, Brutus replied, "Go ahead and tell me what the deal is."

"I will guide you in becoming a true mountain lion and I will also help you in spreading your race's name to the other worlds."

'Th..this is..'

Brutus felt there would be some kind of loophole in the deal. So, he didn't want to agree to the deal just because of a few starting words and continued to listen to Ajax's words.

"Even greater world will speak of you, 'The Mountain lions' in the future as a proud race."

However, by the time Ajax finished his words, Brutus nearly agreed to the deal without asking what Ajax would gain from all this.

Nevertheless, he controlled his urge to accept the deal.

Because until now, Brutus wanted his race to raise his fame and he was not satisfied with the current mountain lions because from the ancient records, he learned a lot. So, he wanted to change that.

With that determination, he worked hard in his cultivation and became the youngest King realm cultivator of the mountain lions in the new generation.

However, amidst his cultivation journey, somewhere in the middle, he lost focus and started blaming everyone for the current state of mountain lions.

But now, with Ajax's words, his younger self urged him to agree to Ajax's deal; however, his older self was stopping him and warned him not to believe anyone.

"So, in return, what do you want?"

Soon, Brutus asked Ajax with a serious look on his face.

"What do I want?"

Ajax revealed a slight smile on his face before saying, "Because I want a true mountain lion as a follower."

He was direct with his words and didn't beat around the bush.

"However, you can not agree to the deal if you don't want to. The rise of the mountain lion's race is all in your hands."

Before Brutus could say anything Ajax had already replied to Brutus and he even transmitted his voice into Brutus' ear, 'Do you really think your King Glaucus could make what I promised to happen?'

"Think about it clearly."

As soon as he finished his words, Ajax summoned back his elemental spirits as he jumped onto the back of the devourer eagle king's back.

'I hope he takes the bait.'

Even though Ajax felt like he was trying to bait Brutus, he felt he had to do it to increase his cultivation as soon as possible.

Nevertheless, as long as Brutus agreed to become his follower, Ajax would be more than willing to help him.

'What should I do, father?'

Initially, when he heard that he had to become Ajax's follower for Ajax to help him, Brutus thought to directly reject the deal.

However, when Ajax said about King Glaucus, Brutus felt what Ajax had said about King Glaucus was true.

He even thought about trying to achieve that feat on his own; however, he knew with his thinking, it was impossible.

So, he closed his eyes and thought about his father.
