202 Spear soul

"Yes, we elemental spirits...," Glacious explained about everything on how elemental spirits started learning weapons dao due to their boredom in the elemental spirit world.

"Hmm," Paulin nodded his head after understanding about elemental spirits.

"You can take your sword. I will only use it if I had to," Paulin casually said while handing the sword in his hand to Glacious.

"Thanks, master," Glacious gladly accepted the sword.

After giving the sword back to him, Paulin came out of his spirit consciousness and opened his eyes.

The first thing he checked after opening his eyes was Ajax.

Seeing the frown on his face, Paulin looked worried as he knows what was happening inside Ajax's spirit consciousness.

"Don't worry he is fine. Just take some test," the blurry human figure advised Paulin to rest as he successfully completed his test.

"Hmm," Paulin nodded and sat down to observe Ajax.

Paulin's earlier views on the blurry human figure were changed as he now knows that this never-returning cave was related to some kind of trial or inheritance, and there was nothing demonic here.

He didn't casually change his views, though. He thought that if this cave were really demonic, then his squad captain Edmond would not have returned after entering into the cave.

Seeing the silently sitting Paulin, the blurry figure remained calm and watched Ajax, who was having a frown from time to time.

Inside Ajax's spirit consciousness,

'I can win this,' Ajax muttered as he rushed at the giant spear that was hovering in the air.

He changed his attack strategy from waiting to rushing since there was only a single spear he doesn't have to worry about any sneak attacks.

He used his 20 percent attack speed to attack the giant spear, waiting for him to come near it. 

However, the giant transparent spear simply dodged his attack and started spinning around itself.

As soon as it started spinning, Ajax felt a great force was building up in front of the tip of the spear.

The building up force was more powerful than the forces the previous four spears had created, which made him increase his alertness.

'If you can survive this, you win; otherwise, you will die,' as he increased his alertness, Ajax heard a voice in his head.

'Who?'

He knew that this voice doesn't belong to the system nor the old voice, which he heard when he was in some kind of danger.

It was somewhat different from those voices. Also, there was a hint of happiness in the voice he just heard.

However, the voice didn't give any reply; instead, the giant spear rushed towards him with the great force it created.

'Uff'

Ajax took a long breath and focused on the incoming spear and readied himself with the sword in his hand.

He waited for it to come near to him. 

'Clang'

Despite the fact that he used all his strength, he lacked in the comparison between him and the giant spear.

The giant spear forced him back with its force and continued to drill his sword.

As he was forced back by it, Ajax smiled a little and swung his sword again.

A sword wave that was bigger than any of his earlier swords appeared and forced the spear back.

'I concede. You win,' the previous voice rung his head once again, saying him that he won.

But Ajax didn't know how he won yet, so he looked at the spear assuming that voice belonged to the spear.

After the voice declared that Ajax won, the mighty spear stopped its attacks and released a bright speck of light from it.

Seeing that light, Ajax almost drooled as he knew that it was the comprehension orb into the spear dao.

The light orb entered into him just like a small speck of light, and Ajax didn't stop its actions and allowed it to enter.

'Ding,

A comprehension orb of spear dao entered the host's spirit consciousness.

As soon as it entered into him, he got the system notification informing about the bright light that entered into him.

However, he didn't bother with it as he was in ecstasy from the comprehension he gained into the spear dao. 

'Ding,

Congratulations to the host for comprehending the level 2 spear dao.

The feeling of ecstasy lasted longer than earlier small specks of comprehension.

Before he could completely absorb the orb, another system notification rung in his head that informed him entering into the level 2 spear dao.

Moreover, he didn't open his eyes as the comprehension he absorbed was not more than half of the total comprehension orb.

While he was concentrating on the comprehension orb, the giant spear returned to its normal size and circle around the meditating Ajax like some pet animal and waited for Ajax to open his eyes.

The level 2 spear dao in Ajax progressed rapidly and reached the mid-grade within few minutes.

As the level of the comprehension increased, the speed of his spear dao progression decreased.

After some time, the spear dao stabilized at the peak of mid-grade level 2 spear, and Ajax opened his eyes slowly with bright eyes.

"Finally, level 2 spear dao is achieved. Haha," Ajax started laughing and looked at the spear that was circling around him.

'Huh? Why it is behaving like a pet?'

He was surprised at how the spear was behaving and became speechless.

Seeing him open his eyes, the transparent spear entered into him before he could dodge it.

The enter spears looked for something as it wandered in his spirit consciousness form.

'Ding,

A spear soul entered into the host's spirit consciousness form.

'Ding,

Do you want to store it?

"Huh? A spear soul?"

Ajax was puzzled at the word. 

Although from the word he had understood something, he wanted to know more about it. 

Such that he silently thought in his head so that system could answer him.

'Ding,

When any weapon reached the legendary grade, there was a chance for that weapon to form its own consciousness.

'Ding,

After it formed its own consciousness, if the weapon were to be destroyed, then the soul of that particular weapon would come out of its broken body.

Ajax was shocked at the words of the system.
