392 Golem Race

"Fine. I am fine," Ajax bitterly smiled as he replied Snow and slowly stood up from the ground.

Hearing his words, Snow and Dabrus felt relief but still, they looked at their master with concern.

"I am really fine. Go back to your places and guard me. I will meditate for a second," After checking that there were no injuries to his spirit consciousness or other internal parts, Ajax asked Snow and Dabrus to go back to their places.

Since their master was adamant, without retorting they left to their places to guard.

However, once in a while they both checked on Ajax, who was now sitting in a meditative posture with his eyes closed.

'Why did the refinement fail?'

Ajax's mind was still hazy from the previous pill refinement explosion and thought back to that time for a reason for his failure.

'That's right. I felt heavy fluctuations from my inner world that made me lose my focus for a bit,'

Soon, he was able to find out the reason for his failure and related it to the fluctuations he had sensed when he was throwing the essences of the three ingredients into the fire cauldron.

Since the fluctuations came out all of a sudden that made his focus shift for a bit and the result was terrible.

'It's good that there was no harm to my body from the earlier explosion; otherwise, I don't know what would have happened to me,' Ajax felt that he was lucky to escape the pill explosion with only a few simple scratches and bruises. 

Pill explosion was a common thing for an alchemist. In his life, he would and he should get past these pill explosions in his life to become a great alchemist.

However, not all the alchemists were lucky to survive these pill explosions. Many got crippled and there were some people who had even lost their lives.

Among all the other professions like Blacksmith, artificer, appraiser, array masters and many more, alchemy was one of the most dangerous professions that could cost thier lives.

Moreover, it was complicated and one needed heavy knowledge on every herbs, pill recipes etc.

Nevertheless, it had its own benefits.

If any average-level alchemist were to appear in the Zrochester province, he would be given the treatment of a sect elder and all the top powerful families and other sects would try to curry favour from them.

It's just like 'With great effort, comes great reward'.

'What's happening in the inner world?' After calming him down from the pill explosion, he entered into his inner world in his spirit consciousness form.

As soon as he entered the inner world, he saw a weird rock that was completely brown in colour which made him frown his brows.

'Let me check it with the system,' Since he was unable to find the clues of the rock in front of him, Ajax decided to use the system to know the details of the rock.

Just as he was about to use the system, the rock which stayed still until now had suddenly moved and taken a humanoid form as it greeted Ajax.

"Huh? Master? Don't tell me you are the new guardian?" Ajax was shocked by the rock man's greeting.

Nevertheless, he was able to find out who the rock man in front of him was.

He was shocked that he didn't expect that the new guardian he would be getting from the system for completing the bonus mission was a rock man.

Although he didn't know the true use of the rock man in front of him, he felt disappointed for some unknown reason.

"Yes master, I am the new guardian," the rock man that turned from a boulder bowed to Ajax as he answered Ajax's question.

"Ok," Ajax nodded his head and looked at the information of the rock man.

Works:- 1) He can make the land fertile with the essence of nature that was available in the inner world.

2) He can also seal the fluctuations of the inner world from disturbing the host.

Description:- A member of the golem race that has no attack power but has a great defence.

"Golem race?" Ajax felt that where did the system get this ancient golem race member from.

Golem race was a race that was entirely made up of rock or stone and their favourite hobby was to remain in specific land and make it fertile.

However, according to the knowledge Ajax had got from Elder boron, the Golem race became extinct around the same time as that of the great war between humans and demons took place.

Golem race people were used to be seen everywhere there was land and since they were peace-loving creatures, no one had any problem with them; instead, they were asked to settle in the areas of the top families to turn their lands into fertile.

However, no one knows the exact reason why they became extinct all of a sudden.

The topic of their extinction was dominated by the great war between the humans and the demons. So, no one bothered about these peace-loving creatures.

Although Ajax knew about the golem race, he had never seen them even in the scrolls. So he was not able to guess the identity of the rock man when he had first seen him.

Nevertheless, Ajax's previous disappointment had turned into happiness.

As for his happiness was, among all the races he knew he loved Elves and Golems as they usually love peace and don't participate in any kind of wars unless it was extremely necessary.

'Huh? He can stop the fluctuations from the inner world?' Ajax already knew the first work of a golem race member but the second one was something new which he didn't know.

"If I had him a few minutes earlier, I would not have failed the pill refinement and the explosion would have never occurred...sigh," 

After reading the second work of his new guardian, Ajax sighed as he bitterly smiled at his luck.

'Since it is over, then I should stop pondering over about it,' Ajax tried not to think about the pill explosion as he didn't suffer any major injuries and escaped with only light injuries and looked at the rock man before saying, "From now on I will call you, Gol."

"Thank you, master, for naming me," the rock man was over the moon when he heard his new name from his master.

'Huh? Why is he that happy for just a simple name?' Ajax frowned a bit when he saw the excited rock man in front of him but shook his head as he thought, "Let him be happy."

Ajax was also happy with a golem being his inner world's guardian.

"By the way, where did those fluctuations come from?" After naming him, Ajax thought about the reason he had entered into the inner world and looked at his surroundings.
