451 Bonus Mission

Ajax pierced his sword into a demon servant at lightning speed. The sword in his hand pierced through the heavy armour as though it was tofu.

'Finally, the much-awaited system mission has generated. I hope it will be some good mission that can give good rewards,' Ajax took out the sword from the body of the demon servant slowly as he excitedly thought in his head.

Without any delay, he opened the quest tab and checked the newly generated system mission.

'Ding,

A bonus mission is available. Do you want to accept it?

"Huh? What is this?"

As soon as he opened it, he was surprised by the system notification which he didn't expect to appear in front of him.

The thing was the system never asked for his permission for any mission. So, he felt a little surprised to see that notification.

'Puchii'

"Since this is a bonus mission there will be no penalty. I can accept it without any worry,��� Ajax slashed at another demon servant without much difficulty while thinking about the bonus mission.

Ajax already had a basic understanding of the system that there would be no penalty for a bonus mission. So, without any hesitation, he accepted the bonus mission before another system notification appeared in front of him.

'Ding,

Bonus mission:- Kill the invaders (Upgradable mission).

Target 1:- Kill 100 demon servants.

Reward:- An instant minor realm level up in spirit cultivation.

Description:- A mission that will be upgraded every time the host finishes the target given in the bonus mission.

Condition:- 1) The demon servants that were killed by the host are only counted into the mission's target.

2) Until the bonus mission is completed, you will not get any essence of nature for killing the demon servants. So, try to kill the demon servant with the least essence of nature.

"Huh?"

Ajax raised his brows when he saw the length of the information in front of him and slowly read everything on the holographic screen in front of him.

"Upgradable mission? I think I will reaching the target will clear everything for me,"

Although he got a rough understanding of the mission from the Description, he still had some doubts about it. Nevertheless, he wanted to complete the first target before thinking about it.

Even when he was reading about the mission details he kept an eye on his surroundings and parried the spear of a demon servant and used his shadow claw to kill that demon servant.

As soon as he killed that demon servant; instead of getting a system notification about the gained essence of nature, a progress bar appeared in front of him regarding the target.

It was just like what he had said. If he got the essence of nature from killing the demon servants then completing this mission was not a big issue for him. So, he felt his blood boiling just thinking about the intense battle he was going to have with the demon army.

'I will complete the first target and get the reward first before seeing what will be the system's second target is,' Ajax didn't want to waste any time and wanted to claim the rewards for the first target as soon as possible.

Ajax felt that the reward was very good, so he wanted to test whether he would get similar rewards from the later targets. So, he took out his spear which was in the bloodlust spear form from his spirit consciousness.

In his right hand there was the inheritance sword and in his left hand the bloodlust spear. He slashed the sword to kill the demon servants that were near to him and used the spear to kill those who were away from him.

'No essence of nature'

'No help of summons'

Ajax continuously muttered these two sentences in his head and fought with the demon servants like a 'God of war'.

Although his use of both the weapons was not that proficient. It helped him to kill the demon servants at a faster rate.

'Huh? This one looks like a peak elite commander level demon,' For the first time, since he started the mission, his attack was blocked by a demon servant that made Ajax observe that demon servant carefully.

Until now, he had killed the demon servants that were less than elite commander realm, so he was able to kill them in a single slash with his sword and with a single pierce from his spear.

As soon as his sword and spear were blocked by the peak elite commander level demon servant, the other demon servants surrounded Ajax with their slogan.

'Damn it, I entered too deep,' Ajax felt pressured all of a sudden when he was surrounded by more than 10 demon servants that were much more powerful than the ones he had killed earlier.

Including Ajax, there were 10 young cultivators and aside from them, there was justice too in the group that was fighting the first batch of the demon invasion.

All of them followed Edmond's instructions very clearly and only attacked the demon servants from the side edges and they didn't bother to fight the demon army from the front as it was impossible for them to stop that army from the front.

However, Ajax was too excited with the progression of the bonus mission and entered very deep into the demon army. 

"Huh? Darbaudr, where is Ajax?"

Udo was not only killing eyes on the cultivators, he was asked to, but he was also looking at Ajax once in a while; however, he was suddenly unable to see Ajax and immediately asked Darbaudr.

Edmond also looked at the place where Ajax started killing the demon servants and then looked at Darbaudr for an answer.

"Young master was surrounded by the demon servants,"

Darbaudr replied to them with a small smile on his face that made both Edmond and Udo puzzled as they didn't understand why Darbaudr was not moving to help Ajax.

"What? He got surrounded by the demon servants. Didn't I ask you to keep an eye on him and help him when he was surrounded by the demon servants?" Edmond became anxious and hurriedly asked Darabudr.

"Calm down, Captain. My young master needed some exciting battles to bring out his full potential," Darbaudr knew what Edmond was thinking and asked him to calm down while explaining about the reason he was not helping even when Ajax was completely surrounded by the demon servants.

Edmond and Udo looked at each other and nodded their heads as they agreed with Darbaudr's words. 

"Captain, I spotted the big fish," As they went back to their places to look after their respective young cultivators, they heard Darbaudr's words and immediately looked into the direction where Darbaudr had spotted.

The big fish that Darbaudr meant was none other than the demon general who just came out of the black portal.

"Huh? Where has he disappeared to?"
