486 Rulf meets Ajax

As he was thinking about the sudden death of the demon generals, he got the regular system notification informing about his kills and the target progress.

'Whatever, since I got the kill notification from the system, then they are dead and my mission is completed,' Ajax didn't waste his time thinking about the death of the demon generals and moved away from the dead bodies of the demon generals.

The third target of the bonus mission is successfully completed.

Increasing the host's cultivation by 2 minor realms in the spirit cultivation.

Before he knew what was happening, he felt the familiar pain of forcefully increasing his spirit consciousness.

Ajax thought he would not have any pain in the increment of his spirit cultivation; however, he was completely wrong in assuming like that.

Ajax continued to shout in pain for a few minutes before stopping his painful shouts.

'Phew...finally the increment in spirit cultivation is over and now I can use the stabilizing crystal' Only when he got the system notification, Ajax heaved a sigh of relief and turned his head to the side.

From a distance to his left, he noticed a middle-aged man in his early thirties and was shocked before becoming alert all of a sudden.

The middle-aged man also became alerted and carefully observed Ajax.

In his head, that man was thinking, 'When did humans have such a talented young man? Why did he cry in pain after killing the demon generals? Also, he is not wearing any sect uniform and…..wait a second.'

All of a sudden, he put a break for his thoughts and looked at the badge on Ajax's chest and became shocked.

He was none other than Rulf who rushed from the second batch of the demon army in order to stop the first batch of the demon army.

However, he was completely shocked by the dead bodies of around 800-1000 demons in front of him.

"Who are you?"

Ajax and Rulf both asked the same question at the same time.

"Rulf"

"Ajax"

They looked at each other for a second before saying their names at the same time.

Although he didn't see Ajax in person, he knew a lot about Ajax. He also knew Ajax was a summoner; however, he didn't see any elemental spirits beside Ajax that made him even more shocked.

'So, he killed these many demons on his own? No, he must have summoned his elemental spirits and must have summoned them back before I came here,' It didn't take much time for Rulf to strike off his own thoughts and concluded his later part.

Also, with the help of a badge on Ajax's chest, he concluded that Ajax was not lying about his name.

"Yes, I am from that mercenary squad," Ajax nodded his head before asking, "So, you are?"

While many thoughts were running in Rulf's head, Ajax asked a question to Rulf and waited for his reply.

"Haha… I am the one who manages the mercenary guild," Rulf laughed when he heard Ajax's question and replied with a proud expression on his face.

"Huh? What an imposter?" Ajax muttered in a low voice; however, that was clearly heard by Rulf.

According to what he heard from Edmond and others, the mercenary guild is managed by an old man. So, when he saw Rulf, who was in his early thirties, Ajax directly concluded him as an imposter.

"What? I am saying the truth," Rulf became angry all of a sudden that a 15-year-old kid called him an imposter that hit his sore spot.

"Whatever, I need some rest. If you help me guard me for a while I will give you 1000 low-level spirit stones," 

From the system, Ajax already knew the cultivation of the middle-aged man in front of him; however, he was not fearful of him because he could sense that the man in front of him would not harm him.

"1000 spirit stones?" Rulf became even more angry when he heard Ajax's words.

"Since your cultivation level is in the elite general realm and I am very magnanimous by nature, I will give you 2000 sprit stones and guard me for 5 minutes, I need to heal my injuries," Ajax doubled the offer of the spirit stones with a kind look on his face.

"I don't want your spirit stones or anything. Just sit down and take rest. I will watch out for you," Rulf replied to Ajax while shaking his head.

Even though he was angry with Ajax's words, he asked Ajax to take rest as he completely destroyed the first batch of the demon army on his own. 

So, Rulf didn't scold him; instead asked him to rest.

"Oh thanks, Uncle Rulf," Ajax hurriedly thanked Ajax and sat on the ground to meditate.

"You really don't want my spirit stones?" Before he closed his eyes, Ajax asked Rulf with a doubtful look.

"Start healing your wounds, idiot," Rulf scolded him and looked at his surroundings before settling in some distance away from Ajax.

'Did he go away?' Ajax slowly opened one of his eyes and observed Rulf, who was some distance away from him and thought, 'I think I can you that stabilizing crystal now.'

Although it was somewhat risky to use in front of Rulf, Ajax wanted to use it as soon as possible before Edmond and others noticed that his strength had increased once again by two realms.

However, if he used the stabilizing crystal, his body cultivation would be decreased and it might return to level 1 of the elite commander realm. So, he took the risk of using it now.

'This man must have not noticed my body cultivation clearly. Even if he notices, I know what to say...Haha,' Ajax smiled inside his heart.

'System, use the stabilizing crystal to synchronize my two cultivations (Body cultivation and spirit cultivation)' Ajax silently thought in his head as he ordered his system.

Ajax slowly replied to the system and waited for it to start its process.

From a distance, Rulf felt some energy fluctuations from Ajax that made him raise his brows.
