489 Meeting guild master

Nevertheless, Ajax opened the quest tab while continuing his running along with Rulf and other mercenaries who had come to kill the demons.

Mission name:- Claim the reward.

Description:- The host knows the location of a dimensional crevice through a reward; however, now that dimensional crevice was about to be taken over by some other people. So, claim the dimensional crevice before it was taken over by others.

Time limit:- 12 hours

Reward:- Nothing

Danger rating:- A

'Huh?' Ajax raised his brows when he read about the mission details and became anxious. Because he knew how valuable a dimensional crevice was and what's more it was originally a reward for him; however, now it was going to be taken over by some other people

'No, I need to complete this mission,'

How could he let that happen? He immediately thought about a plan to complete the mission and successfully claim the ownership over the dimensional crevice.

Although there were no rewards for such a high danger rating mission, Ajax didn't complain much about it as the dimensional crevice itself was a big reward for him.

'Also, if I can complete the mission with a high accomplishment rating, then I can get some free energy orbs along with the dimensional crevice,' Ajax became excited and his mind was fully filled with the thoughts of what his next steps would be.

'I have a 12 hours time limit. So, I will try to fill my essence of nature in the spirit consciousness before I go to the cursed abyss,'

Ajax already had the exact coordinates of the location of the dimensional crevice's entrance; however to claim ownership on a dimensional crevice, he had to qualify the test and trials of the dimensional crevice and if he failed the tests and trials, then in the worst case he would die and in the best case he would be alive with some small injuries.

So, that's the reason he wanted to completely fill his spirit consciousness before challenging the dimensional crevice.

'I can use the mid-grade spirit stone to fill my essence of nature within a short time; however it will be a waste to use a mid-grade spirit stone when I have another way to gain the essence of nature,' Ajax had a quick way to gain the essence of nature but he rejected that thought because he wanted to test out his another method before using a mid-grade spirit stone.

While Ajax was busy with his thoughts, Rulf and other mercenaries were seriously running towards the second batch of the demon army.

Their thoughts were very simple.

'Kill as many demons as possible,'

'avenge the dead ones,'

'Protect the loved ones'

Everyone had their own thoughts similar to those and followed behind Rulf and Ajax without a word.

"Where are the spirits beasts disappeared to?" To test his another method, he needs to kill some spirit beast and if he gets the essence of nature from killing them, he could enter into the fight with the demon army and fill his spirit consciousness and then he could go towards the cursed abyss.

However, to his bad luck, he was unable to find a single spirit beast along the way that made Ajax frustrated.

Generally, he could get the essence of nature by killing the other beings; however, because of the bonus mission, he was unable to get any essence by killing others.

But now there was no active bonus mission and he wanted to check whether he could get the essence of nature or not.

'If I don't get I need to say use mid-grade or low-grade spirit stones to fill my spirit consciousness,' Ajax kept a backup plan to fill his spirit consciousness.

In front of the ownership of a dimensional crevice, a mid-grade spirit stone was nothing. So, he decided to use it if killing others doesn't work.

'Damn these demons, that must have scared all the spirit beasts away from this route,' He cursed the demons because they were the reason for the disappearance of the spirit beasts along their current route.

Ajax's bad luck continued to follow him till they reached the second batch of the demon army.

'So what, if I can't find a spirit beast to test whether I can get the essence of nature by killing them. You are there for me, right?' Ajax looked at the demon army in front of him and became excited. 

In front of him, Edmond, Udo, Darbaudr and Blood rose were fighting the demon servants and with every single move of theirs, they were able to kill nearly a dozen demon servants.

From a distance, an old man in casual attire was watching the fight between the demons and Edmond's group.

"Huh? Guild master has returned already from the cursed abyss?" Rulf also noticied the guild master and became excited.

As for the reason why he was excited because the problem in the cursed abyss must have been already solved.

"Everyone, start attacking and kill as many demons as possible," Nevertheless, he ordered all the mercenaries behind him to start attacking the demons.

'Ugh'

"Let's kill those demon bast*rds,"

"Let's go"

As soon as they heard Rulf's words, all the mercenaries rushed towards the demon army with their weapons at an incredible speed.

"Ajax, let me introduce you to the guild master of the mercenary guild,"

While all the mercenaries were fighting the demon army, Rulf dragged Ajax towards the old man.

'Guild master? He is the legendary guild master?' When Ajax heard Rulf's words, he became shocked because the guild master of the mercenary guild was very famous because of his name, the legendary mercenary.

Of course, Ajax also knew about him and became quite excited to meet him.

Soon, Rulf and Ajax reached the guild master and Ajax was about to introduce himself; however, before he could speak, the guild master's voice could be clearly heard by him.

"Hi Ajax, how are you?" The guild master spoke with a light smile on his face.

"Huh?" Ajax was confused as to how the famous guild master knew about him.

"Who doesn't know a summoner in the Zrochester province. As long as you become a summoner, whether it is a low-level one or a high-level, that doesn't matter. You will become famous just like that," 

Looking at the confused face on Ajax's face, the guild master smilingly explained about how he knew about Ajax and didn't wait for Ajax to say something and continued, 'Also, Edmond brat has mentioned about you a couple of times.'

"What? Captain Edmond mentioned me? For what?" Ajax was getting one shock after another and asked the guild master.

"He said, you are the lucky charm for him and his mercenary squad," The guild master mysteriously smiled at Ajax that not only puzzled Ajax but even Rulf was puzzled because he didn't know a single thing about it and asked the old man, "How did his end up as his lucky charm."
