Each mercenary squad had 6 mercenaries including the captain of the squad. So, there were total mercenaries that were following Udo to help him in his mission.

"As for us, we will wait for the third batch of the demon army along with the other mercenaries," The old guild master looked at Edmond and others and said about their next plan.

"So, until then, we will recover our essence of nature and get back to our peak condition," Edmond nodded his head as he replied to the old guild master before looking for a place for him to relax and recover his strength.

Darbaudr and Blood rose nodded their hands as they followed Edmond's action and settled in someplace and started meditating.

All the mercenaries were also relaxing and recovering their spirit consciousness.

As for the old guild master, he was intently looking at the black portal and waited for the third batch of the demon army to come out.

While the old guild master and others were patiently waiting for the final batch of the demon army, Rulf was moving in the direction he was supposed to go at an average pace. So that the demon army doesn't miss out the fragrance of the devil fruit.

"Everything is going as planned," Rulf muttered as he maintained the same pace and looked behind him.

Behind him, the second batch of the demon army was following him like an excited dog that was about to find its meal.

And behind the demon army, Udo and the three mercenary squads were silently following.

While Edmond and others were waiting for the third batch of the demon army, Ajax was busy upgrading the demonic battle-axe in his hands.

However, what surprised him the most was he needed exactly 100 demonic weapons of heaven grade to increase its level.

Just looking at the number made him bitterly shake his head.

'If I needed normal demonic weapons to increase its grade, it is easy; however, using the Heaven grade demonic weapon…' Ajax didn't know what to do with the battle-axe in his hands anymore.

Because it was almost impossible to find 100 heaven grade demonic weapons in the human world. Also, even the normal elite demon generals don't have the heaven grade weapons in most of the cases, unless they swore their life to their demon king.

So, Ajax finally felt he had wasted time on the demonic weapon.

Since the battle-axe in his hands had the possibility of becoming the legendary grade or even the mythical grade, he didn't want to leave it.

"Since I said the valuable information and even given the stone, now it's your turn to keep your promise," 

After seeing that the Demonic weapon enhance crystal is successfully integrated into the demon battle axe, the main demon general said to Ajax to leave him now.

"Sure," Ajax nodded his head and moved towards the main demon general with the battle-axe in his hands and continued, "But, before that, I have a couple of questions I need to ask you."

After saying that Ajax revealed a cunning smile, which made the main demon general think that Ajax was not going to keep his earlier promise.

"What? You are not going to release me now?" 

Nevertheless, the main demon general showed an angry look on his face when he heard Ajax's words.

Since he was going to die anyway, then why bother about begging for his life. So, he raised his voice against Ajax.

"Cool...cool," Ajax didn't look surprised as though he had already expected the main demon general to become serious with his words and continued, "As long as you answer my two questions, I will keep up my promise. So, don't worry and answer my questions."

"And how do I know you will not add any more requests after answering your questions," The main demon general scoffed at Ajax with the same angry look on his face.

'Increase'

Ajax didn't reply to the main demon general immediately; instead, he increased the 'Absolute darkness' skill and sealed all his senses for a moment.

'Aargh'

As soon as Ajax did that, the main demon general, who was barely able to endure the pain from the nightmares, cried in pain all of a sudden.

'S..t..o..p..it,'

With the pain, the main demon general's previous angry look disappeared from his face and a pathetic look replaced it as he begged Ajax to stop increasing the pain.

'Snap'

Ajax revealed a smile as he snapped his fingers and the additional pain that the main demon general was experiencing had disappeared and he was only left with the normal pain that he was barely able to endure it.

"Now, do you understand, who is in control?" Ajax scoffed at the main demon general as he asked him.

"Y..yes..yes," The main demon general didn't dare to waste a single second and immediately answered Ajax.

"Good. Anyway, back to business," Ajax nodded his head with a content look on his face and continued, "So, your first question. What are you searching in the cursed abyss?"

Even though Ajax could guess what they were searching for; he still wanted to get accurate information from him.

"My elite team is searching for an entrance to the ownerless dimensional crevice under the orders of my demon king," The main demon general knew that he would only suffer the pain if he decided to not answer his questions. So, without any delay, he answered the first question.

'As expected. Thank god, the system generated this mission; otherwise, my dimensional crevice will be gone into the hands of the demons,' Ajax silently thanked the system and muttered about the dimensional crevice.

"Now, your second question," After thinking for a moment, Ajax continued, "What is the true purpose of the invasion of the demon army?"

Ajax wanted to know the true purpose of the demon army's invasion because he could guess that the invasion this time was somewhat different from what he had known from Edmond and others. So, he wanted to know about it.

"Oh. About that, I think the third and final batch of the demon army is about to enter the human world in a few moments,"

Instead of answering Ajax's question, the main demon general said something different that made Ajax raise his brows.

"I am not asking you about it," Ajax once again asked the demon general about the true purpose of the demon invasion this time.

"There are multiple purposes of that small scale demon invasion. From where should I start?" The main demon general looked at Ajax as asked him where to begin.
