Chapter 914: Silver Rhino Mercenary Squad

"Kid, are you deaf? Answer the leader."

Seeing that Ajax was not replying and instead, he was thinking something, one of the squad members shouted at Ajax.

"Uh...I am sorry."

With that shout, Ajax came out of his thoughts and apologised with an embarrassed look on his face as he continued, "I am from a nameless mercenary squad which you might have not heard. The squad is called Silver rhino."

"Hmm...never heard of it."

"Maybe it is a newly formed squad."

As soon as they heard the squad name, all the Quickthunder mercenary squad members shook their heads as though they didn't know about the squad.

"I know about it."

However, to everyone's surprise, the squad leader of the Quickthunder mercenary squad nodded his head as he continued, "Moreover, I owe him a favour. So, you can tag with us and I will take you back to your mercenary squad."

'What the hell?'

Ajax just said a random name and he didn't expect that there would be a mercenary squad by the name Silver rhino. 

What's more, the leader of the Quickthunder mercenary squad owes a favour to the Silver rhino squad leader.

'Is he planning something or is there really a squad name?'

Ajax felt it was too much of a coincidence to happen as he felt a little doubtful regarding the behaviour of the Quickthunder mercenary squad leader.

Finally, he understood why Captain Edmond had told him to run away when he was on the bad side of the Quickthunder mercenary squad.

'He is very bad at lying. I wonder why he is lying about his identity. Moreover,  judging from his clothes, he definitely didn't get lost from his mercenary squad.'

'Moreover, I don't have time to interrogate him. For now, I will keep him with my squad and after I finish the main business, I will take care of this little brat.'

Just like Ajax expected, the Quickthunder mercenary squad leader was very dangerous and with a few words, he already kept Ajax in his squad without much difficulty.

The squad leader thought he should finish the main business first. So, he asked Ajax to go with them.

"Thank you very much, captain."

With an excited look on his face, Ajax nodded his head as he agreed to go with them.

'If I had the same battle prowess when Captain Edmond had told me about this squad, I don't know what I would have done; however, things are not the same as I became a lot stronger compared to before.'

After agreeing to the Quickthunder mercenary squad captain's words, Ajax revealed an evil chuckle in his heart.

'Huh? Did he agree that easily? Is he really lost from a squad named Silver rhino?'

When he saw the reaction on Ajax's face, the captain of the squad frowned a little as he didn't understand what Ajax up to.

'Whatever, since he is just a level 2 general realm cultivator, I will have a lot of time to take care of him after I finish the main business.'

With that thought in his mind, the squad captain looked at his squad members and said, "Let's go. We have to find at least a single clue regarding the place where they were hiding."

After finishing his words, the squad captain didn't wait for a reply; instead, he just ran in a specific direction.

"Yes, captain."

Everyone became alert and followed behind their squad captain.

'Keep an eye on him.'

Along the way, the squad captain asked the weakest member of the tribe to keep an eye on Ajax.

Even though he was the weakest one, he was already a level 10 general realm cultivator and compared to a level 2 general realm cultivator, he was way more powerful.

So, the captain of the squad assigned the task to him.

'Huh?'

As for that weakest member, he was a little confused; however, he didn't dare to be late in replying to the captain, 'Understood, Captain.'

Even though he didn't understand completely, all he understood was whatever his captain said about the Silver rhino squad, it was not true.

In the mercenary guild, there were hundreds of recognized squads and thousands of unrecognized squads who needed to complete at least three tasks before getting the recognition of the mercenary guild.

Moreover, every day, there would be at least one or two mercenary squads getting killed during the missions. So, it was impossible for someone to know the names of all the mercenary squads.

As for the Quickthunder mercenary squad, it was a top 10 mercenary squad; however, according to Captain Edmond, their squad should be in the top three.

'Anyway, I will see what these people are up to.'

As for Ajax, he was silently running along with the other squad members. 

Since there is something wrong with Captain Edmond and Udo, Ajax wanted to know more about it. So, he was more than happy to travel with the Quickthunder mercenary squad because their captain was confident in finding Captain Edmond and Udo.

'Ugh...can you guys run a little slower?'

'I need some rest.'

'How can you run so fast?'

'If I run any more, I might die.'

From time to time, Ajax intentionally said those lines in order to make them feel that he was just weak cultivation who got lost on the borders of the outer section of the cursed wilderness.

"Damn you. If you don't want to come with us, then just find your own path and go back."

"With such low endurance, how can you think of becoming a mercenary?"

Whenever they hear Ajax's words, the squad members of the Quickthunder become annoyed and angered. 

So, they cursed Ajax and asked him to go back on his own.

"No no no...how can I travel alone in the middle section of the cursed wilderness?"

Ajax hurriedly replied and with a forced expression on his face, he continued to run along with the squad members.
