Chapter 956: Grandpa Lin's thoughts

Grandpa Lin and Princess Daphne were the only ones who were still standing in their places without moving.

Princess Daphne's face was gloomy when she heard her father's words as she clenched her fists.

"Little girl, you already know that your father is like that. So, don't take his words to heart."

Old man Lin shook his head as he tried to console Princess Daphne.

"I know."

As for Princess Daphne, she nodded her head as she looked in the direction Ajax left with complex emotions.

Princess Daphne didn't know whether she should be happy that Ajax rejected her father's offer or it should be said that Ajax didn't hesitate to reject marrying her.

Princess Daphne shook her head and revealed a bright smile on her face before saying to Old man Lin, 'Grandpa Lin, I learned a cultivator's law.'

Princess Daphne nodded at her and left for her room.

'I still don't understand why that bastard hates her so much?'

Looking at the disappeared silhouette of Princess Daphne, the old man shook his head.

'As for this kid, I like him for openly rejecting that bastard's offer.'

Next, he thought about Ajax and approved his behaviour as he continued, 'Looks like I will recommend him to that place. I hope, in the future, both Princess Daphne and Ajax develop feelings for one another.'

'I hope he didn't send anyone after me to kill me. If he did that, instead of Ajax, the royal family would be the first one to get destroyed.'

With a cold smile on his face, Ajax kept an eye on his surroundings because he felt that King Stephen might send someone after him.

'Anyway, I need to get out of this royal city and claim the complete ownership of my dimensional crevice.'

After running for an hour, Ajax came to a location where there was no one. So, he stopped to take a break.

Soon, Ajax thanked them and asked them to go back to their places.

"Ajax, it is not safe for you to travel alone."

Ajax didn't know whether he should laugh or cry after hearing their words; instead, he just sighed before saying, "Thanks for your concern but my master has given me an important task to do in the cursed wilderness and I have to complete it on my own. So, please don't follow me; otherwise, my master will become angry."

Since he could not shake them off with his words alone, he had to use his master's name to keep them away from him.

'Okay.'

Everyone nodded their heads in a low voice and didn't say anything more to Ajax.

The reason they were following  Ajax was to protect him so that they could gain the favour of a powerful master; however, when they heard that the powerful master would become angry, no one dared to say anything.

'Swoosh'

As soon as he finished his words, he didn't even bother to look back before rushing in the direction of the Cursed Wilderness.

'Wait a second.'

All of a sudden, Ajax remembered something and stopped in his tracks before walking towards the vagrant cultivators with an expectant look on his face.
