38 No Tissues? Use What God Gave You

A few minutes earlier, at the start of the argument…

In the car, Liam and Parker were bored out of their minds. Initially, they had been concerned for Jade and maintained a close watched. However, after a few minutes passed, they concluded that Frank was too drunk to be a threat to anyone and started to become lax.

Of course, they still watched what was happening, but they were sitting comfortably in the seats rather than leaning forward on alert.

"Sir, if I may ask, why don't you want her to know you're here? You could save her a lot of trouble if you just go out and help her."

Liam thought for a moment before replying. "There are a few reasons. Firstly, look at her…"

At that second, it was actually Jade who was shouting at Frank.

"…she is giving as good as she gets, so I'm not afraid that she will suffer psychologically, and I'm confident that we'll be able to react before any physical harm comes to her.

"Furthermore… you should have seen the way she looked at me when I offered to pay for the window. I don't want to upset her further by appearing to be looking down on her."

"Sir," Parker said, "those are two different things. I really think we should…"

"Ouch!"

At that moment, a yelp interrupted Parker's words.

Liam had spilt his still hot coffee on his crotch. Both Parker and Liam began to overreact. Liam struggled to take off his pants while Parker rummaged about for some tissues to dab up the coffee.

"Sir, I can't find any tissues…"

"Do something, Parker. My manhood is being scalded!"

But no matter how much Parker searched, he could not find any wipes, tissues, or towels that Liam could use.

In the end, he asked, "Would you like me to lick it off for you…"

Before he could finish, Liam stopped trying to slide off his pants and threw a slap at Parker's head.

Due to the limited space in a car, Liam was struggling to take off the pants. Actually, he had not realized it, but it was not the limited space that was stopping him from removing the pants but the shoes that he had neglected to take off.

By this point, the pants were not even that hot, but Liam, whose mind was in disarray, was fixated on the idea that the pants had to come off.

While he was struggling, Parker looked up from his employer, remembering why they were there. When he looked through the windscreen and saw an empty street, the color drained from his face.

"Sir, look!"

Following Parker's finger, which was pointing toward the street, Liam instantly realized what he was getting at.

"Sh*t! Where did they go?"

"I don't know, I…"

As they scanned the street, Liam noticed the fallen trash can and…

"Is that blood?!"

Among the scattered litter, a pool of glistening crimson dyed the surrounding garbage.

It was blood, and Liam had a terrible inkling as to whose it was.
