Chapter 41 - Doll House (18)

Gasp!

Xiao Ke stood with his back plastered to the winding wall, his face a ghastly white.

From somewhere, he could the creeping footsteps of the monsters approaching.

There wasn't much time left for the timer and if that bastard didn't hurry up, he'd die here.

"Fuck!"

Staggering, Xiao Ke avoided the hairy arm that came swinging towards him, rolling forward embarrassingly before frantically crawling to his feet and running.

Boom! Boom!

The monster was slow but its stride was heavy and loud, Xiao Ke could imagine how cruelly he would be crushed to death if it caught him!

"COME ON!"

Unexpectedly, in such an isolated place, there was someone else inhabiting the fortress maze!

Zhao Pengyu waved frantically to the despairing Xiao Ke, an anxious look on his face. He was standing before the door of the maze, an inconspicuous thinly veiled wooden door covered in dry leaves. It was slightly opened and Zhao Pengyu was using his utmost effort to keep it open, purple veins bulging on his neck from the force!

Xiao Ke's eyes lit up with a scorching light and he forced his exhausted limbs to run towards Zhao Pengyu.

Hah! Hah!

He could hear the large bull like monster getting nearer and his feet slowly becoming numb under the force, speed dropping gradually; gritting his teeth he made one last final burst and flung himself towards the door!

He could feel his fingers grab onto the handle, a triumphant light bursting forth, he was going to survive!

Yet before he could register his hard won victory, he felt himself suddenly being forcefully yanked back into the maze, despair and disbelief quickly clouding his pupils.

Under his gaze, he could see the look on Zhao Pengyu's face quickly changing and without further hesitation, he flung himself through the door, leaving the lone Xiao Ke to fend for himself.

He didn't even have time to curse before the door shut with a horrible bang!

Cutting off all forms of escape!

In this world, how can there be any existence that is truly good.

The air around him was heavy and dark, the monster had disappeared and in his horrified gaze, he saw something quickly emerging from the shadow at his feet.

It struggled and wiggled grotesquely under an invisible force, but nothing could stop and before long, the shadow quickly seperated from him.

It stilled for a minute but he couldn't be relieved because soon it began another struggle, quickly taking on another form.

Under his bated breath, the other party stepped out of the darkness.

The shadow quickly compressed and condensed the figure of a man. He had black hair and black clothes. He was tall, with a handsome face like a god, and under his high eyebrows, there were a pair of scarlet plumes. There was an almost inhuman cruelty in the depths of those eyes. At the moment it passed, the blood of Xiao Ke almost seemed to be freeze instantly.

He shuddered back, but the man still walked towards him slowly.

His expression was unwavering and his voice was low and low, like the vibrato of the strings swayed in the air: "I found you."

Xiao Ke did not understand the meaning of his words, but he was caught by a certain characteristic in his voice. Frightened, the extreme fear for no reason grabbed his mind. This chilly feeling that seemed to be suppressed by the soul made him scared and almost unable to move his steps!

The man walked up to him, slowly bent over and raised his right hand hanging beside him:

"Did you hurt him with this hand?"

Xiao Ke was almost speechless, and could only watch with horrified eyes , as his hand's skin dried and cracked in an instant, revealing the bright red muscle tissue under it, and yet even a drop of blood did not ooze out. Then, the muscle under the skin twitched and contracted, like a layer of burnt and dried oil, it clung to the bone tightly- then he felt the pain.

He hissed in despair and miserable horror. His voice was amplified by the hollow maze and echoed across the walls and collapsed in a heap.

The man's blood- colored eyes did not fluctuate at all, staring at him silently and coldly, asking softly,

"Is there any other place?"

Xiao Ke trembled on the ground holding his completely abolished hand, saliva and foam dripping from his gaping lips. There was a vague and pained groan stuck in his throat, that shivered because of fear, and his lungs made a 'hehe' agitation like a bellow. Because of excessive panic, he could not say a word!

"Time has passed too long so, I can't smell the lingering blood on you." The man said faintly: "Since you don't want to cooperate, I will have to do it myself."

He raised a well-knotted hand and said. A firm grip in the void.

A faint gray mist was pulled out from the front of the players forehead. Xiao Ke wailed in pain, and his entire body was twisted and deformed in the terrifying pain, as if he was suffering invisible torture.

The man's eyes narrowed slightly, as if he was reading something.

A few minutes later, he raised his eyebrows, looked at the unhuman-shaped man lying on the ground, and whispered with a kind of cruel mercy:

"If this is the case, then you have no need to exist."

The  wall reflected the twisted limbs of Xiao Ke that shrank and dried in an instant, the faint ghost fire bounced a few times and then went out.

The walls stilled stained with the putrid smell of burnt flesh.

In an open corridor, floor stained with dried blood, Chu Yi stared into the the eyes of the little boy. An angry stare cruelly flashing across his face.

There was a calm madness in his eyes, the dark pupils were like a bottomless abyss, and the demon imprisoned in them gave a malicious smile to the opponent.

Beautiful to terrifying, coquettish to terrible.

Under that beautiful almost inhuman appearance, there seemed to be an elusive madness jumping under his eyes, an unstable factor vaguely tossing, with a treacherous and fatal attraction, dangerous and terrible, innocent and pure.

The surroundings fell into an unknown dead silence again, and every minute and every second contained the horrible silence before the storm.

The scarlet lines were completely exposed, hugging his slender and pale limbs tightly like a vine, stretching out from the neckline with teeth and claws, and the extreme color impact became more and more thrilling in the darkness.

At such a close distance, he could clearly see the eyes of the boy in front of him.

He could almost sense the way it shifted guiltily, refusing to look at Chu Yi.

He sneered angrily before walking heavily into the room, stepping carelessly on the array beath his feet.

"How do I leave?"

Eager to make up for his previous mistake, the young master quickly pointed to the blood pool in the center of the sacrifice.

Chu Yi raised his eyesborws and hummed haughtily, ge couldn't waste much more time, as their was only 5 minutes on the clock and for every passing second, he could feel the desire for destruction and murder rearing its ugly head.

The previous venting was nowhere enough for him and he had a feeling that staying any longer would lead to unimaginable consequences.

So without sparing another look to the pitiful child ghost, he held his breath and jumped feet first into the blood pool.

The blood quickly submerged his head and the metallic scent flooded his nose, disappearing in the bloody current.

Chu Yi felt as if he was falling forever.

As if he was being pulled into a deep sea by invisible gravity, all the sounds were blocked on the distant water surface, and it seemed as if only the sound of his own heartbeat could be heard.

The gurgling bubbles flicked over his ears and floated towards the top of his head.

He couldn't struggle, couldn't breathe, and could only fall feebly into a deeper and colder abyss.

There was a vague call from a distance.

Chu Yi couldn't hear what the other party was saying, but in the bottom of his heart, he just knew inexplicably that the other party was calling his own name.

He opened his eyes sharply.

As if a bubble wrapped around him was suddenly punctured, all sounds, colors, and disorderly lines rushed towards him, slamming his temples like a heavy hammer, making him unable to concentrate and think

Chu Yi was struggling on the edge of suffocation. Under the pressure of layers of blood and grease, his five senses and six orifices were occupied by the strong odor of rust, as if to penetrate into his bones and internal organs, through every inch of his skin.

Finally, he got rid of the swampy tug and pull around him, and struggled to get out.

Chu Yi coughed hoarsely, while wiping the semi-dry blood that covered his eyes, nose and mouth, the dry and cold air swept through the trachea like a sharp blade and poured into his chest cavity.

The smell of copper spread in his mouth, and it was unclear whether it comes from inside or outside the body.

He staggered and stood still, blinking, looking around at the world around him through the black and red eyelashes that had been condensed into locks.

Briefly he saw, A blood-red crescent moon hanging overhead.

The steep and sharp edge of the abyss cuts the sky into two distinct halves, and the narrow antenna is dyed a quiet dark red by the moonlight. Where the moonlight cannot illuminate, the thick and unclear darkness surges and rolls, and the strong smell of blood almost xondensed into an entity.

Very quiet.

There was no human voice, no air currents, only the sticky sound of the blood swamp under my feet, flowing in the dark night.

Clear light, reflected in the deep pupils. A cruel beauty that was almost primitive and brutal. The bright blood stained the lower half of his face, following the sharp arc of the jaw. It dripped down, winding down along the arc of the collarbone onto his chest, the tip of a pale pink tongue protrudes from the lips, gently sweeping across the bright lower lip, rolling away a few drops of blood.

The vision was quickly replaced by the familiar system ground and around him, the figures of the dazed and disheveled players assaulted his eyes.

The first thing that him was the smell.

It was like the rotten odor of animal carcass, biting plasma transpired by high temperature, mixed with the mildew odor of deteriorating sewage, twisting into a terrifying odor that cannot be escaped, covering the whole land pervasively, like countless mosquitoes and flies are dancing. The noisy buzzing sounded unscrupulously, as if they were the masters here.

Chu Yi looked around uncertainly and noticed that on the large dining table, slabs and plies of raw meat and dishes was piled up like a tower, giving off the disgusting scent.

And sitting at the table was the Madam.
