Chapter 177 - The Islolated Island (21)

When a dark and petite shadow silently appeared at the entrance of the ungated stone village, the night was falling and the village was shrouded in a ghostly atmosphere, the light on the dusky horizon became dim and gloomy, a faint pressure covering the village.

The sound of heels clicking against the stone road echoed in the empty village, slowly coming to a stop at the door of the first stone house on the edge. There was no sound from inside as if the occupants had fallen asleep. This cold, corpse-like silence was interrupted by a light tapping sound.

"Tuk, Tuk!–"

There was a heavy silence.

The knock sounded again persistently, as if the owner would not rest until the door opened.

It wasn't known how long the shadow stood there for, but when the shadow cast by her black umbrella began to melt into the darkness, there was finally a response from the dead-house.

When the sharp and piercing creak of the door opening sounded, shattering the silence of the old village, the smile on the little lolita's face became even sweeter. The umbrella in her hand swirled, facing the occupant's direction, a faint salty and rotten breeze blew in the air carrying with the faint sound of heavy breathing, like a beast sharpening its jagged teeth and claws.

"Who are you-"

In the shrill creak of the door, the voice of the villager was particularly distorted, sounding strange and cold, unlike real human voices. The man's belly bulged, purple and green which reminded her of the blood that settled in the body of a corpse after it died.

The girl walked up to him and spoke sweetly, "Uncle, I'm lost and I can't find my brother."

"Can I stay with you for one night?"

While speaking, her large doe eyes stared directly into the arms glassy ones. From up close, the girl's eyes were filled with a whirlpool of stars, inexplicably tempting and charming.

How can such a beautiful and cute girl be a bad person? In the villager's cognition, the bad guys that caused the island to turn out like this were the disgusting and greedy outsiders. It didn't include little girls.

Some people view the world with good intentions, but others often repay with evil results. Some people envelop themselves with beauty, but they were poisonous.

Hearing the girl's reply, the wariness in the man's eyes disappeared, becoming a little softer.

The villager scratched his bulging belly and nodded in agreement.

He stepped back and she followed him tentatively, the room was dark and there was still the smell of fish in the air, a few empty plates were scattered over the rickety dining table and there were still strange claw marks on the edge of the door.

From behind the man, the coquettish and sticky voice speaks faintly, "Big brother, do you like to eat fish."

The man scratched his cheek and gave a strange upturned smile, "It's a bit." The corners of the room were erected filled with dust balls and cobwebs. In hindsight, it didn't look lived in. The villager pulled a chair after rummaging in the shelf silently and pulled out a bowl with a bloody smell before slowly forking a piece of translucent flash into his mouth.

The girl looked at the man, from his back that was hunched strangely over the table, she could see his movements become proficient, and his lips continued to devour the flesh bite by bite, his abdomen contracting faintly along with his movements.

Interesting.

When the girl realized it, her eyes widened in excitement. The tip of the black umbrella twirling in her small hands;

"That's just--" The girl curled her lips and smiled, "I'm really, really curious about what it looks like...from the inside."

The man lifted his head to the sound of footsteps getting closer.

Everything is covered by darkness, and it seems that there are only those soft pupils left in the world. It is the only light source, attracting creatures like moths to a flame. Her voice echoed by his ears softly,

"What do you fear the most."

The man's eyes momentarily became cloudy and unfocused, his lips and throat moving unconsciously.

"The sea, the sea."

The man's body trembled upon mentioning it and there was instinctive fear in his shaking trembling, bewitching and soothing, the little girl continued to push,

"Why are you afraid of the sea.. "

The man's lips opened as I'd he wanted to speak but in the next second, the man began to struggle violently, with all his might, clutching his distended stomach in pain, as his muscles spasmed in a cold sweat: "Hungry, hungry, so hungry!"

He stumbled to the table and frantically brought the bowl to his face, gulping down its contents greedily, traces of wetness fell from the bowl and painted the lower half of his face red but the man didn't seem to notice or care. When the bowl was finished, the man's pain didn't get better it only became worse as if something was burrowing into his flesh.

His head seemed to be swollen, the blue veins crawled from his neck to his face, and his eyes were about to burst out of their sockets.

For a while, he struggled frantically like a fish out of water, screaming in agony, anyone who heard it would have their hearts palpitate with horror, the blue veins on his forehead stretched and bulged angrily, but his originally blank eyes gradually returned to clarity for a brief moment.

At this moment the little girl's eyes gleamed fiercely,

The darn frills on her dress swayed, and without hesitation, she used the tip of her umbrella as a knife to stab into his lower abdomen!

The texture of the black umbrella was so sharp that the moment it pierced the flesh there was a sickeningly wet squelch, then as if a dam had been released, the pungent smell of rotten fish completely engulfed the room.

When this scene appeared in her sight, the girl's eyes lit up, and she stepped forward, held the umbrella in one hand, and pressed it deeper, saying harmlessly: "Brother, I just want to say see what's inside. Who knows that you would react so intensely... There is no malice."

As soon as the word 'malice' fell, the black umbrella in the girl's hand suddenly retracted, and the tip of the umbrella screwed into the flesh of the man's bell-like a sharp barb before yanking back!–

"Ahh!"

The man's face turned pale as he cried out in pain as the little girl suddenly pulled out his bow. Blood splattered, and the tip of the umbrella tore open a small hole, where a belly full of half-grown fish eggs was finally revealed!

The girl blinked her obsidian eyes and cried out softly,

Some eggs had not hatched but some had grown into weirdly shaped grotesque creatures. They swam around in a mucus yellow sack and seemed to the man's body as a human container.

What's more frightening is that their bodies vaguely resemble humans, but their legs stuck together as if they were fishtails, of anyone who had been on the ship had seen this scene, they would have been able to identify that this thing half baked appearance is exactly like the supposed fish on board!

The nose and eyes on the face seemed to have been melted together, both resembling a human being, and transforming towards a fish.

The little girl grinned sweetly and flicked her wrist; grabbing onto one end of the black umbrella, squinted into the villager's broken stomach, and sent it right back in.

"Puchi!–!"

The girl's heels stepped onto the man's chest and stabbed the umbrella into the with her backhand, and pinned the things hands and feet, which were constantly twisting on the tip of the umbrellas. The man's face changed and his struggle only became stronger and stronger.

The little girl raised her small hand as if interested, reached down, and actually pushed her hands unto the man's abdominal cavity! Like grabbing onto a small toy, she reached in, grabbed the creature, and pulled it out by its head amidst the man's screams.

With a look of childish curiosity, she held it up her face, shook it, and saw that the flesh-colored slimy body was constantly twisting and struggling, with astonishing strength, broke free from her hands in the blink of an eye, and quickly crawled towards the man.

At this moment, the girl reacted, one foot wearing a tiny black heel directly stepped onto the creature's hand, grinding into it ruthlessly.

"Ahhhhhh--!!"

But when her foot landed on the fish baby's hand, it was them who screamed wretchedly. His left hand was instantly red and swollen as if he was on the verge of popping like a flesh-filled balloon.

The girl raised an eyebrow and lifted her foot, letting the thing crawl away playfully.

Liang Yuanhao who was finally awake from a deep trance, gasped in pain, out of breath. He watched the thing crawling towards him, with a look of horror and disgust on his face, trying hard to dodge, but could not do anything, he could only watch them crawling to the belly again and dig in.

This, this—

"Ah-ah-!!"

At the last moment, the girl pulled her petite umbrella from the man's flesh and directly stabbed it into the creature's spine.

Liang Yuanhao screamed miserably as if all the bones in his body were crushed and bitten off. The convulsions were terrifying, bloody foam pooling at his mouth as his eyes rolled back and he fainted.

These things were actually connected to each other like this–

The girl seemed to find his expression of wanting to doe, very interesting, a tinkle of sweet laughter accompanied his painful screams.

"Wow--!!"

A shrill scream sounded, the man had already fainted from the pain, and the scream was not from him, but from outside the room. An innocent smile appeared on her lovely face, it wasn't for the blood splatters on her cheek, she really would seem like a cute little girl like a doll, when she shows a pitiful look and acts like a baby, it was hard to see the bloodthirsty nature underneath.

On the other side, Chu Yi saw that a faint white fog that had spread out on top of the sea, advancing towards their capsizing boat, like a surge of majestic clouds, it quickly expanded to cover their field of vision in the blink of an eye, and rushed towards them.

A sense of crisis pierced through the nerves like a needle, and Chu Yi's scalp was numb, he could feel a strong sense of death crisis from those billowing clouds!
