Chapter 37 - We Meet Again.

In one of the narrow and empty downtown alleys, the eagle team and Jiu Shao's men stood face to face at the point-blank, waiting for Wan Yi Jun to give out the orders that could change their current standing position.

"It seems like Mr Qin does doubt his best friend." Han Ze Min muttered under his breath and glanced at the suited men who stood away from the mob as if they don't want to get into the fight, 

"Tell your boss that we are taking him." He proposed in an aloof tone while casually holding onto the trigger as he received a gentle nod from Wan Yi Jun to carry on with his monologue.

It was true that Han Ze Min likes to annoy his cousin. However, he was ready to help Wan Yi Jun and his team when they got into trouble.

"Yes, sir." The suited men replied in obedience while taking a step back as if they were retreating from the scene.

When Jiu Shao saw that, he panickingly realized that the new team was much more powerful than the others.

"Who...who...are you guys?" He tremblingly repeated while staring at the guns that were pointed at him. Usually, the local thugs won't take out the guns to avoid deaths, instead, they often get into fistfights or attack with iron rods or other heavy objects to create sharp pain.

"Why do you want our boss?" One of Jiu Shao's lackey's asked in fear. He was the same person who acted so brave and mighty a moment ago.

"Oh sorry, I forgot to introduce ourselves," Han Ze Min dramatically paused and haughtily tilted his head," Special Taskforce, Imperial police department." 

The very moment Jiu Shao and his men heard the words, they exchanged terrified glances. They thought that the men who stood before were some thugs working under some loan sharks.

"Don't tell me you guys mistook us for some street thugs?" Han Ze Min almost broke into a burst of laughter when he saw one of the thugs unknowingly wobble his head in agreement.

"Yaaa, are you dumb or pretending to be dumb? Can't you see all these walkie talkies, guns, super cool jackets- we are the good guys." 

Even the police team turned their faces towards Han Ze Min when they heard his pompous remark like no other. However, Jiu Shao blankly stared as if his brain couldn't comprehend what was happening around him.

"Police...I didn't do anything wrong." He subconsciously spilt the lie that was stuck to his mind.

"You didn't do anything wrong?" Han Ze Min almost jeered and focused the lens on Jiu Shao as he continued with his words, "I'm damn sure there must be minors among your "hostage's" bar." He made a serious pun as he took his finger away from the rifle's trigger, letting the others take a breather at this crucial moment.

"I want to see your bar license after you are done with your little interrogation. And Jiu Shao, Don't get any ideas of running away or calling more men. You know,  So be a good boy and cooperate with us."

"Good lord, he is super crazy!!!" Bing Wen almost shrieked in astonishment. The image of captain Han he received from others highly contradicted cool-headed man who fearlessly stood there negotiating with Jiu Shao and his men. He never thought that he will meet someone as cool as his captain Wan in handling unpredictable situations.

"Okay." Jiu Shao finally agreed in a submissive tone and took a step towards the police team. But right at the moment, a swoosh sound was heard from Han Ze Min's right side, using that chance to escape from the police officer.

However, Bing Wen who got quick reflexes caught the iron rod that was aimed at Han Ze Min at the right moment before it finds its target.

Just as Jiu Shao bent down to pick up the gun from the ground, continuous rounds of fires hit beside their feet, making them jump into the air in survival instinct.

Han Ze Min didn't even hesitate to fire when Jiu Shao tried to escape and using the firing as a cover, Wan Yi Jun almost made his way towards the thugs.

Even before anyone could comprehend what happened, Wan Yi Jun has caught Jiu Shao at his point blank and cuffed his hands.

"I told you, don't get any false ideas." Han Ze Min let out a sigh and turned towards the direction from where the iron rod had come. It was evident that someone had tried to save Jiu Shao by creating a distraction. However, Han Ze Min and Wan Yi Jun, who were familiar with this kind of attacking strategies didn't even flinch as they proceeded without any second thoughts.

"Attacking a police officer on duty might bring more consequences than getting charged for running an illegal business. Jiu Shao, I assume you are not that dumb to rot in prison for the rest of your life." Han Ze Min added with an evil grin, just to taunt Jiu Shao with his usual annoying self.

"We just have a few questions, answer them, and you are free to go. Is that correct, Captain?" He averted his gaze at Wan Yi Jun, who stood there with a dead pan expression as if he gave all the permisssion for his subordinate to carry on with all the "talking" part.

"Hmm." Wan Yi Jun agreed and gestured his team to take care of the rest of Jiu Shao's men without wasting any doubt. Once Jiu Shao got an affirmation from the police officer that they were not here for arresting him, he willingly sat down for interrogation in one of the empty rooms in the bar itself.

"Only if he had met us when we came to meet him in the afternoon." Lao Yating mumbled as he removed the handcuffs from Jiu Shao in a room full of policemen stood alarmed.

"Have you heard about the murder that happened in Rising Raven's, the club which you started with your Qin Kai?" Lao Yating cut the chase without wasting and initiated the interrogation on the behalf of Wan Yi Jun, who chose to remain as a spectator.

"Yes, I saw it on the news." Jiu Shao said in a barely audible voice as if he was not interested in discussing that topic.

"Qin Kai kept believing that someone was trying to tarnish the reputation of the club and ruin his life. After learning about your past with him, you are the person who-"

Even before Lao Yating could finish his words, Jiu Shao's aloof facade broke down into million pieces as if he got wrongly accused and quickly refuted,

"Did he say my name?" He leaned onto the desk as his eyes fumed in anger,

"Did he think that I would tarnish his so-called reputation just because he earns more than me?

"No, he didn't. with the proof of circumstances, you seemed to have the biggest reason for destroying whatever he built so far."

"There are so many people who got even bigger reasons to ruin him. He went against all the drug dealers in the imperial and helped the police. Do you think they will stay idle after losing millions of dollars"

"It seems like you know more about them than anyone else."

"Yes, I do. I wanted to make sure that I'm not targetted by them just because I'm Qin Kai's friend."

"He got a genuine reason to tip off the police about the drug dealings happening in his club."

"Are you speaking about Qin Dong Ya and her tragic story?"

"It is not so tragic as it seems. I will be honest, that girl was a bitch. She fooled around quite a few men until she got the interest of Yan Zi Hao's little brother."

"He was obsessed with Dong Ya that he even proposed to marry her, and it was a win-win situation for us. But she messed up. She hooked up with someone else and angered her little boyfriend."

"Even though it was reported that Dong Ya died due to overdose, Qin Kai didn't believe it at all,"

"He made sure to destroy Yan Zi Hao's empire in imperial and made him flew to Daisun."

"So you say that it must be Yan Zi Hao behind this?"

"Who else? The drug deals, the
