Chapter 42 - Let's Work Together?

"Shu Li Li hit someone?" All of a sudden, Wan Yi Jun's surprised voice reverberated in the office room, gathering everyone's attention to the door. He was already awake when Lao Yating came to inform about the visitor who came to state the murder victim. 

"Yes, sir. I was on the balcony and saw her slapping the sanitation worker from there. When I asked Shu Li Li what was wrong, she said that he misbehaved with her."

"Misbehave?"

"She said that he touched her inappropriately."

"And you guys didn't report it?"

"We talked to the building security and replaced him."

"You have never seen him again?"

"No. I haven't. Shu Li Li was quite depressed about that incident and even returned home.

"Collect the details about this man."

"You said that there were people who stole Shu Li Li's chances. Do you know who are they ?"

"I'm not sure about it. But there was a girl named, she used to bully Shu Li Li a lot."

"Yes." Wan Yi Jun replied and let out a sigh, "You have seen the state of my house. Right now, I need a maid, and you need a job, so why don't we work together?"

It wasn't a random suggestion from Wan Yi Jun, but he did think about offering a job for Ming Yue, right after she mentioned that she was looking for a job. However, she kept her humility and tried to be within her limits with a man she met randomly one evening. She tried to convince Wan Yi Jun that she was only helping him handle the mess that was created in the Wisteria gardens for the sake of a clumsy and clueless young master.

However, little did he know that it was only Ming Yue's act.

"Are you sure about it, master? We just met on a random day, and you even mistook me like a burglar. What if turn out to be a criminal or a terrorist in reality?" She asked with a bitter smile, just to test his intentions to keep her as his maid.

"I will make sure to arrest you, then." Wan Yi Jun replied in the same tone and took out his phone from his jacket, "I don't know when I will be able to go home after finishing the work. Give me your phone number, I will let you know when you can join."

"Sorry, master. I don't have a phone." She lied through her teeth without any hesitations.

"Where is he?" 

"Captain went there,"

"I saw him grabbing a woman's arm." 

"A woman here?"

"That's a brothel." 

'He went inside a brothel? Good lord, no wonder, he kept rejecting Zhi Lan's proposal again and again." 

"Captain rejected Miss Zhi?"

So she carefully played her pawns to get closer to Wan Yi Jun and plotted a perfect plan to make her way into Wisteria gardens, once again.

"Wait a minute, are you asking me to work at your house? That huge mansion?" Ming Yue feigned ignorance as she stood face to face with Wan Yi Jun in the narrow alley beside the brothel.
