Chapter 145 - 145: Awakening...

(A/N: Well, the end should satisfy some of you...✌)

*A few hours later*

Still in the future timeline. In a faraway place, at the border of Universe 7, in the Sacred World of the Kais.

At the end of the fierce fight opposing the Immortal and the God against the Berserker, Gowasu, and Shin, the Supreme Kais from the original timeline came to help the three of them to escape. But to their shock, the battle had in a surprising way ended favorably.

And at the demand of Yamote, they took Edam and brought him to the God's Realm.

And now they were sitting on the ground while watching over Edam.

"He's been unconscious for a long time now, are you sure he's fine?" Trunks' worried voice sounded out.

"And ever since we brought him here, the God Realm's entire atmosphere has changed, more than half the Realm's divine essence is flowing to him..." Shin said while watching Edam.

"His body is absorbing the divine energy of the entire Realm?" Trunks said after having pondered over it.

"Seems so, he is naturally healing, and tempering his injured body with Godly Ki… I've never seen this kind of thing before…" Gowasu said with a still surprised expression.

"But, what about Zamasu and Black?" Trunks asked with a frown.

And in response to that, Yamote was the one to speak and reply with a quite serious expression.

"You don't need to worry, my Master beheaded the Immortal Zamasu for good and shattered Black's soul to pieces, before sealing both of them in two different confined dimension rifts…"

"Nonetheless, I can't believe he fought them off… and, and actually won!" Trunks exclaimed full of admiration but full of disbelief too, doubting if it was actually true and not just one of his dreams.

"This is awesome…!" Mai was extremely happy as she grabbed Trunks's arm.

…

Meanwhile, Edam's whole body was wrapped by the beautiful and divine golden light of this Sacred World.

…

…End everything...

A distant and familiar voice was resounding in his mind, uttering various lines in a language that Edam didn't even know of but could for a reason that he couldn't explain, translate and comprehend…

...

We are the beginning and the end, we are Supreme and Eternal and yet… we both don't even know what happiness is…

...

...If even the dragon could not grant our wish, then…

...

…

His eyes were closed as if deeply asleep but then snapped open as his mind was already thoroughly awakened.

Indeed, in a completely and seemingly infinite dark expanse, Edam who was currently sitting crossed-legged slowly opened his eyes to first take a look around, observing the stomach-aching sight of infinite emptiness.

Nearly having a headache, he set his eyes forward and met another pair of eyes. "You again…?"

"Why? Do you want to reject me?" A faint smile and a curious expression were seen on the Other Edam's face.

"Not really… you are me and I'm you, I've already gotten that much…" Edam said and then added. "What I don't understand is why are we two separate entities right now…?"

The Other Edam shrugged and smiled while replying. "...Was it the loss of our memory? A dissociation of personality born from your rejection of us? Or am I simply the creation of your imagination to give you the answers to your troubles?"

"But, for sure, these scars have something to do with these…" Other Edam said and pointed at his heart before pointing the scar on his head. "Normally we should have kept our memories… but the last fight was way too brutal, and anyway… it is better this way..."

"..." Edam pondered over it for a moment before sighing and glancing around again. "Anyway, why are we here?"

"...?"

"Your whole body is undergoing a rebirth, Mortal ki isn't enough to sustain God-level techniques, Godly ki is necessary…" The other replied simply.

"What? Why?"

"Just a matter of compatibility. To make it short, God-level techniques are better empowered with Godly ki… Plus, Gods always had several more methods than mortals, to begin with…"

"To use this Power?" Edam said clearly pointing out the insane move he had pulled out of instinct at that time.

"...I said God-level techniques… Nothingness… is not something that one can learn or achieve, it belongs to no one but us, completely unique and nonexistent throughout the entire multiverse, infinite dimensions and parallel spaces, it is our law, our position, our concept, the one true source of our existence…"

"…Unfortunately, I just happened to be born outside of it while All was born inside… that was way beyond what this Multiverse's laws could handle… It tried to suppress me, but was instead slowly being crushed by me…"

"..." Edam was already prepared to hear weird things but he was still speechless for a moment.

"How do I use it?"

"Ah…"

"..." Edam looked at him with a deadpan expression and really felt like punching him good. 'After such a godly speech I can't even use it…yet...'

But, then, Edam frowned as realization struck him. "Wait… if I have this power, then, doesn't this mean that I will also become like you…? Ended up like before?"

"..." The other one stayed silent for a while.

"I've tried everything but even our last resort could only lessen it for some time it seems… as long as we exist, it will too… we are simply the crystallization and physical manifestation of it..."

"Did you give up?" Edam asked his other self a simple question…

…to which the latter replied with a faint smile.

"Well, yeah, I've tried but failed, so it's your turn I guess… "

As he spoke his body began to blur. "Ah, it is time for me to go, it seems…"

"After ascending to godhood, your perspective of the world, its reality, the infinite dimensions, and parallel spaces will change…"

"...?" Edam frowned at this and quickly felt an intense sense of disturbing overtaking him. In his head, a vast amount of knowledge both useful and useless to him overflowed.

His body, his consciousness, his soul were undergoing a phenomenal metamorphosis, stepping and breaking through the huge threshold called Mortality.

In the meantime,

Goku, Vegeta had already come back to deal with Black and Zamasu but they were stunned to know that everything had been settled down although Edam had to pay the price…

A price that if he was aware of it, Edam would have truthfully hesitated to risk it even if this meant leaving Trunks and Mai to Black and Zamasu's mercy…

And the price was Time…

...

Meanwhile, on the Other Side, on a planet mostly made up of water…

Nearly at the same time that his consciousness went on to sleep…

On a strange and mysterious island with a crown of floating isles above it, inside the room of a beautiful palace…

Lying on a soft, cloud-like, and luxurious bed, was a woman akin and even more gorgeous than a frail heavenly angel who had fallen from the highest heaven, or a lovely demoness rejected by hell for her beauty.

She could truly put to shame anything placed beside her and dim all the lights of the world by her mere presence.

Her extreme beauty was as if she was a mix of the two, half-angel and a half-demoness, but lovelier than both.

This gorgeous woman currently lying down was none other than this world's current-era's number one beauty, Boa Hancock, the soon-to-be Mother of both herself and Edam's child.

It has been nearly a month now since Edam left this world to find something to help him to save his little growing family.

And today as he closed his eyes on the Other Side to search for an answer…

As if in response or natural effect to him…

Her sleeping eyes and long and beautiful eyelashes that had been shut closed as if sealed by an evil spell slowly but surely began to flutter like buŧŧerfly's wings.

Her long eyelashes shivered like faint leaves in the wind for a few minutes…

Time itself seemed to halt as she left it to wait for her…

And before one could truly realize it, she slowly opened both of her eyes simultaneously.

Her purple-blue eyes released a very faint eerie and yet near-divine purple light out.

However, in contrast to this eerie light, her eyes were filled with indescribable magnificence and splendor more beautiful than all the stars gathered together.

And the very first gesture as she woke up was a quick and yet highly gentle movement toward her abdomen.

A look of incredulity was still clearly noticeable on her face as she mumbled in shock and surprise to herself.

"It wasn't a dream, I'm truly…" As she said this, her already beautiful face glowed a healthy and pinkish hue of pure happiness and bliss, enhancing her otherworldly beauty to a truly lethal degree, for anyone who saw her.

…

…

(A/N: So, was it good? or satisfying?)
