26 The dark side of Paradise

"A mind controlling device?" asked Kuina.

"Yes, one day I woke up inside the forest with this hat on, and whit no memory of the past two years," he said while removing the hat, and showing a device inside of the hat.

"It think a fell and it broke," he said.

"What about the other villagers?" asked Kuina.

"They are still mind-controlled, every time a pirate came, grandpa and the other will convince them to stay, but after the banquet, they just... disappear." said the kid with fear.

"Disappear?" asked Sin.

"Yes! I've seen the elder going to the old mine a few times" said Podi.

"A-and I think... he is feeding the pirates to the mine monster!" said Podi while trembling.

"A Monster?" Kuina scoffed.

"Lead us to the mine, kid," said Sin.

"B-but Grandpa will notice," said Podi with hesitation.

*Poof**Poof**Poof*

Suddenly three of Sin's clones appeared, then two began to transform into Kuina and podi.

"Amazing!" exclaimed Podi.

"There is the mine!" exclaimed Podi.

"Finally," said Kuina.

"Wait here kid," said Sin, as walked to the old mine.

"Hn" Podi nodded.

"Do you believe in monsters, Kuina?" It was quiet, but Sin decided to break the silence by starting a conversation with Kuina.

"No," said Kuina.

"What about the sea kings?" he asked.

"They can bleed, so no, they are not..." she said but suddenly...

*Thud* *Thud*

A metallic cage suddenly enclosed on the duo.

"Watch out!" yelled Sin, as the floor disappeared, revealing a giant hole with sharp spikes at the bottom.

Sin and Kuina could only grabe steel bars.

"P-Podi! what are you doing here?!" asked Sin,

"I-i came to help!" exclaimed Podi.

"No, just go to our ship, and show this to my crew and they will trust you," said Sin as he handed a black playing card to Podi.

"Y-yes, I will go as fast as I can!" said Podi.

"Why did you...?" Kuina said in shock.

*Boom!* the playing card Podi was holding while running, suddenly exploded, sending him flying.

Kuina was confused, but she trusted her captain more than anything.

"How did you know?" Podi suddenly got up and said.

"When you were leading us to the mine earlier, you made us take a longer route, and you kept touching your hat, it was so your friend there could prepare this trap," said Sin while pointing to a dark corner.

"You are smart, yet you still fell for the obvious trap, Morgningstar.D Sin!... Came out Bill" said Podi.

*thud**clank*...*thud**clank*

An albino leopard mink walked out of the shadows, wearing a black cloak over a black and white cowboy outfit.

"This is Bill my strongest servant, he is a leopard mink who ate the Trap Trap fruit, he can make all kind of traps," said Podi in a childish voice.

*Bang* without warning, Bill the cowboy mink pulled a revolver and shot Sin right behind the eyebrows, surprising even Podi.

"Sin!...*rattle!*...*rattle!*" yelled Kuina, and Sin suddenly transformed into a murder of crows.

*Bang* Bill shot another bullet at the ceiling.

'Tch, haki!' though Sin, before activating his Sharingan and cutting the bullet in half with a playing card.

'I need to free Kuina' said Sin before jumping.

"You forgot about me!" said Podi angrily, as his body began to swell, becoming a 4 meters mass of muscles.

*Bam!* Podi appeared in the air in front of Sin and punched.
